With the draft comming up shortly are you anticipating your team to grab the great pick or the big bust.

I am hoping that the Pack picks up a couple needed position players but if the past drafts are any indication I will be left wondering what the hell were they thinking again. I like to watch the draft shows. How about the rest of you football fans?

Also does any one draft pick ring out to you as the big losser? As a Pack fan I still remember passing on Barry Sanders to get Tony Manderich.  :'(

Watto's Junk Yard / Muscle cars
« on: April 2, 2003, 06:44 PM »
Anyone else get into old muscle cars? Seems that definition changes through out the years.
The topic comes to mind as I got my Camaro back. I am so HAPPY.   I sold my camaro to my dad when I bought my house but the other day I stopped by and he gave it back to me. Gave it back. That made my day. I have been a little down the last month with other things going on but that really perked me up.
She is a 1970 1/2 Camaro SS-RS 396 car I had since high school. It is nice but needs a restoration. That will be comimbg this summer.

But anyway. Who else gets into the old Detroit muscle. Whats your dream car or whats your own ride?

I have had some nice ones through out the years..

An added question. I have pics but no way to scan or post. Anyone willing to scan and host some pics to share here? LMK

Power of the Force 2 / Special offer ships
« on: March 28, 2003, 04:10 PM »
I know there were special offers on the vehicles in the vintage line that included figs in the box.
I swear  I saw one in the potf2 line as well.
Does anyone know a listing of what was offered as packins in the foreign releases that normally didn't include a fig?

The Wookiee Arcade / Racing games
« on: March 25, 2003, 04:23 PM »
What are some good racing games for Xbox. I am hooked on the sega gt2002 but other than that what else is a good bang for the buck?

I hate to spend 40 bucks on something I end up hating after a few days.

Vintage Kenner / fuzzy memories
« on: March 18, 2003, 06:48 PM »
Share some of your memories of your youth in reguards to the vintage line.

I remember looking at the sears and JC Penny catalogs at christmas time. Hell it was probably more like Thanksgiving and seeing the small ads for the new lineup. When I was a kid we didn't go shopping alot with our parents so it was a big deal to be able to see the the new things. I also remember getting a fig with a special offer and being in a rush to get as many POPs i could as fast as my allowance would allow so I didn't miss out on the "free" stuff.

Also how many of you had moms or grandmas that insisted on making new cloths for your 12" line.  Like Luke really needed a tab collar lesiure suit.

Some times I just remember those things and it always makes me laugh to myself. O to be a kid again

Vintage Kenner / Does a new focus find you or do you find them??
« on: February 20, 2003, 10:27 AM »
I am amazed how sometimes one find will spark a new focus for me. Have you ever been obsessed with a charicter or package , ship or what have you because you stumble on something uniqe and you need to find more variants of the same piece?

 example

I have been chasing down landspeeder items over the last few months. I have always liked it. It was my first toy so I wanted one loose and one MISB.

Well I got the loose one. Just like I remembered. Then I saw one at auction without an opening hood. Well that was a palitoy version so I had to have it. No big deal. Then I run into a vintage first shot. Had to have it. Now I am aquiring a second first shot but this one is in micro. Then Derby has a proof for the box so guess what. Gotta have it as well. So the moral of the story is have you ever been taken in for something you never thought you would?

I was just thinking about that last night when I was looking at some of my stuff and wondering how did I ever hooked on this stuff. But I am

Share your stories. after all we are all SW ;D junkies here

Vintage Kenner / Vintage disaster
« on: February 7, 2003, 10:26 AM »
I shared this with another board and will share here as well. They say talking about it makes it better but I am still in shock and a little pissed.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Have you ever had that sickening feeling that you know something is bad but you really don't want to know how bad?
The wife gives me a call at work to tell me she had a problem at the house. Ok then she tells me that she left my collection room door open and the puppy got in. The real bad thing is that I am in the process of building floor to ceiling shelves, so the room is ripped apart. Things are stacked on the floor and so forth. Well that damm dog chewed up some of my misb items carded stuff chewed some loose 12. Some was waiting to be shipped so I have that to deal with.
This is getting to be the most expensive dog I have ever owned. Anyone want a dog? complete with vintage crap.

I swear I love that woman but sometimes I think she hates my collection. I know she didn't do it on purpose but I had to do my best to stay calm.

Now here is something you don't see all the time in this condition. This was a nemisis figure for me for a long time. I would like to have one in this shape. Pricey but in current value if it grades as well as the pic looks
