Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Survival Guide for Taking a Dump at Work...
« on: January 27, 2004, 09:09 PM »
Try being in the military and having a row of crappers with no dividers.   Or try taking a dump while out on patrol and making sure someone pays attention so you aren't left behind. ;D

Anyway thanks Matt I needed a good laugh

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Snow!
« on: January 27, 2004, 02:24 PM »
We had enough snow again and this time it cost me.   We have a so called budget crisis so our great highway dept is not plowing after 1 AM anymore. Well I hit a bad spot and threw the car into the ditch. Below Zero and stuck. I was not hurt but my little wagon suffered a broken window and a nice dent up the side where I nailed a fence post. I was even taking it easy.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: JD Book Club: What Are You Reading Now?
« on: January 23, 2004, 09:06 AM »
Well the current book on the end table is The Art of Raising a Puppy by the Monks of New Skete. I picked it up for Sue becasue she is  not used to having a pup running amuck in the house but I picked it up and am reading it. Not a bad book to look at if your into German Shepherds.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Places You'd Never Move To
« on: January 23, 2004, 09:04 AM »
After being in the military and moving around our nation I can honsetly say there is alot of place I would never ever want to live.  Most are the really large cities.  I am not saying Green Bay is perfect but I like the size of it.  Stores are good enough I can get most of what I want. Crime is fairly low, the cold sucks like the -40f we had yesterday.
In general I wouldn't go to far south or north for the climatic reasons.  I like small town USA so most places other that those would be on my list.

Well the Brewers are up for sale. I can say I am happy to see this. Hopefully new ownership would put some lifeblood back into the team. The team still has a 30 year lease so I am sure they would stay in Milwaukee. I would be happy to see Selig as owner.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Official Television Thread
« on: January 16, 2004, 10:45 AM »
When I get a chance to watch TV I usually try to catch  Thats 70s show, or most anything on discovery, history channels, American Chopper, Junkyard Wars, I also like to catch the muscle car shows on speed.   Other that those, sports, NFL, NASCAR, BUSCH. those I catch almost every time they are on.

Brent the bee story brings me bake to a rather painfull weekend ride. I was crusing along in a t-shirt and a damn bee went into my open sleave. it got into the back area and stung me 5 times before I could stop and squish the little bugger. That sucked, from then on I wore a jacket no matter how hot it was outside.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What have you stopped collecting?
« on: January 14, 2004, 03:25 PM »
Well I would have to say i quit collecting most stuff.

Sports cards are the biggest by numbers of anything I have. I have well over 1 million cards. ( anybody looking for anything ;) )   I haven't bought any in 5 years. I was big into it from 1981 through 1994.

I used to have. I really wouldn't say collect. GI Joes as a kid. I looked at getting back into it but figured I already have my hands full with my cars and SW items.

I picked up some of the otehr toy lines as a kid. MASK, MOTU ,Legos, model cars, hot wheels, transformers but I was never big into them. SW and Joes were by far the bulk of my childhood toys.

Recently I have stopped collecting various SW items I had been after. Audio books, posters, modern figures, old video games to name a few. Although for every door that closes a new one opens, so now I am after vintgae items for a retro SW bedroom for my collection

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Rate your job satisfaction...
« on: January 13, 2004, 08:13 PM »
Good question Matt and it actually came up at lunch today.  For me I have been at my job for a little over 6 years. During that time I have done a variety of roles and differnt positions. I started in the manufacturing dept as a machine operator. I hated my job at first due to the managers we had. They were very  lets say not fit for the job. I worked through that and moved up and out of that area. I started working in product development 2 years ago and from that point to now I am happier going to work.
We have went through 4 CEOs  and had a buyout since I started and I feel that we are back on the upswing and growing again. Money could be better, but is enough money ever enough??

SO all in all I like my job and feel pretty good about it. Plus the fact when I get a leeter about how one of my products I either worked on or developed on my own made a differnce in someones life that is a rewarding feeling
