Vintage Kenner / Re: Whats up with this auction?
« on: March 8, 2004, 10:06 AM »
Dale,  like Chris said you got a steal at $15.00. As you know I am after landspeeders and some of the carded examples I have found have went for over $100.00 in great condition.     Average I would agree with Chris and say around $50-$60.   High grades like figs though really can soar with the prices. I saw one that was dead mint go for over $200.00

Thanks for sharing Thomas. I am with Dale in not having any pics that I know of of me and any Xmas loot.  I always like to see those old pics. I always wanted one of those remote R2s alas I still don't have one.

I a sick and tired of corprate big wigs circumventing the system and profiting from insider info. She knew the risks and gambled that no-one would find out. She guessed wrong and now has to accept those consequences.

 Like the one juror stated
"Maybe it's a victory for the little guys who lose money in the market because of these kinds of transactions," said juror Chappell Hartridge.

you know Matt I always thought Shannon Baska was a little to anorexic looking to be Mara Jade. I envision someone a little more athletic looking. Along the lines of Dina Meyer.

For me it all depends on the date and time. I would like a live draft if possible.  The post by post is best for me as the chat room doesn't always work for me.

Scott after watching Chambers every week while he was here at UW I will agree with you he is a great young talent and would blossom with the right team. And As a Packer fan I would love to see Moss go to Miami ;)

Maybe someone can answer this for me. Its a question I had for a while.

1.) Is a forum that is open to the public-( no membership fee or a listed policy you agree to before entering in.) covered under free speach? Or is that site allowed to censor statements, comments or pictures that are not either swearing or unappropriate due to age related legalities ( nude pics).   Is it a private domain?

just curious.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Beer
« on: February 26, 2004, 09:32 AM »
We have some good micro breweries in town and around the area. I will drink those at times but you gotta go there and get it since they don't bottle, But they sell it by the gallon for take home  :)..  Hey this is Wisconsin pints just don't cut it ;)

Anyway. I do buy a few brands. Capitol City haas a couple types I like. There is a local liqueur store that stocks 200 micro brews. I have tried a few some are reall good and some are real bad. I will also buy some of the Trappist ales.

But also Scotts 1919 rootbeer is readlily avaliable here and its quite tasty.  The micro brewerys also have there own. they are very good. Brown sugary goodness in a nice frosted mug. great on the hot summer day when beer isn't an option.

Well my collecting habits have changed alot over the years.
When I was a kid I played with SW never really collected it. My first items I collected were the GI Joes. I had to have 1 of each no tmatter if I opened it or not I wan't them all to put up one my shelves as a kid. Well I grew out of that stage and got into sports cards in high school. Went all out on those.

So fast forward to 1995 I remember seeing the new SW stuff in the store and remember picking up a few off the pegs and saying to myself these look like crap and walking away. I was not into toys at that time. What got me into it was EP1 and my little brother making me take him out to the stores when I was home. I remember seeing Darth Maul and saying this is kind of cool. This was before I saw the movie. I didn't know who he was but they looked better than the buff line of 95. I started picking up a few here and there. I got frustrated when I couldn't find what we were looking for. After all I remember being a kid and seeing every new fig on teh pegs at one store or another. Well that searching futility lead me to the internet. Well now with everthing at my finger tips I had to have 1 of everything. So that held me up till a couple years ago.

Now my habits have changed from having every new item to going back toward my youth and hunting down what I remember as a kid. I don't care if its a set of ESB curtains or a yoda night lite. That what I want. So the modern line has all but stopped for me. I will pick up a few figs I like but thats about it. Even with KB closing by me and all the dirt cheap stuff I still walk away.   I will say though I will probably pre order all the new ships in the OT style packages.

Wayne,

I have already stated this but I'll do it again for you.

How I manage the forum and moderators is not open to public discussion in this forum.

People will either like it or not and stay or not.

You can have all the discussion about it in public if you like, but not in a forum I provide.

Take your crusade elsewhere.

Well that about summs up his openess to his members

Well all my threads at RS have since gone away. Even though they were civil and contained no ill remarks they are gone.  I love oppression ::)
