Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Torchwood?
« on: November 10, 2006, 07:13 AM »
Torchwood is the spin-off of Dr. Who.  So far, I believe it has been mentioned in every Season 2 episode so far.  Since I'm also in the US, I'm behind what has been shown in the UK.  I believe it has been mentioned in all episodes for Season 2 including the Cybermen episodes.  It would cool if Sci-Fi does pick it up.

LEGO / Lego Sets 30% off at Toys 'R Us
« on: November 10, 2006, 07:10 AM »
I'm not sure if this was on every set they had (since there was Jabba's Sail Barge and UCS AT-ST available), but the smaller sets were available for 30% off at my local Toys 'R Us (Newark, DE).

Quick payment and easy to deal with.  Your figures went out yesterday afternoon and should reach you in about two or three days.

Thanks,

I would like to see a droids line.  I would love to see what Sideshow could do with IG-88.

So much stuff, it is making my head hurt.  All this after having to pay for the MF.  I wonder why they are listing the sabers and Biker Scout gun as just CE's.  If they are only CE's, I'll have to pass.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: iPod-washing
« on: October 5, 2006, 07:18 AM »
I know I may be a little late here, but I would recommend the nano as well.  I have one of the older 4 GB models and I'm up to 830 songs on mine.  I own ~100 CD's, but do not put every song from every CD on it.  I have also downloaded ~150 songs as well.  I have had it for 10 months and still have room for ~170 songs.  Really I am only waiting for a few groups to be available on line (like the Beatles since I have all their stuff on record which isn't the easiest to get on an ipod).  The real nice thing about the nano is the size.  I just stick it in my front shirt pocket at work.

12" Figures / Re: Sideshow 12" Endor Rebel Soliders
« on: September 22, 2006, 07:13 AM »
I doubt if I will pick these up even though they are fantastic.  If I had all the main characters from the Endor scenes then I might be tempted but without Han, Luke and Leia (Sideshow versions anyways), there's no point.  I didn't know a thing about this military line so this whole post was quite a shock.  Is there going to be some kind of stormtrooper line??

I would think this line would cover stormtroopers and clone troopers.  I think Sideshow is still working on how to make the armor.

I believe I heard once Sideshow got the 12" license, they would have six lines.  We now have:  Heros of the Rebellion, Order of the Jedi, the Sith, Scum and Villiany, and the Military.  Any guesses for the sixth one?  Also, am I remember correctly that they said six lines?

I received mine a few days ago but I haven't had a chance to get a good look at him since I've been playing Lego II nonstop.

I thought I had read a Q&A somewhere with MR that they had given up on this set since they couldn't figure out how they wanted to do it and didn't think there was too much of a demand for it.

I got a replacement box for my Anakin.  I was put on a MIB list, but my shipments still come single boxed.  I have been lucky with Kit Fisto, Han Solo, and SDCC Anakin/Vader.  I haven't received my shipping notice yet for Mace.

For the replacement box, they send it flat so you have to fold it yourself.  It is a little tricky to get it correct.  Also, you have to stick it in the original mailer box overnight so it will hold its shape.

My wife collects cats like I collect Star Wars items.  Our current count is 16:

Timmy
Trapper
Baxter
Butters
Wiggles
Vanilla
Princess Leia
Swipper
Thumbs
Spencer
Scurry in a Hurry
Cutie Pie
Jabber Jaws
Sunberry
Grand Moff Tarkin
and a female kitten that is still looking for a name

How about:  "Free kitten, looking for a good home" ;)

I've tried that for at least the past half dozen...she won't let it happen.

My Anakin came in pretty bad shape from FedEx.  My Han Solo from UPS was a lot better.
