Anyone who knows me knows I’m a huge Star Wars fan. They probably know how much I admire Carrie Fisher, who was my first hero in so many ways. She was never just an action figure to me. More than anything else, Carrie Fisher was a writer. She was a novelist, screenwriter and essayist who was fearless in her depiction of her personal struggles. When you’re 16 and everyday is a battle, reading something like Postcards From The Edge from Princess Leia of all people helped you realize life was crazy and messed up and in the end, just life. She fought a lot of battles and like a lot of strong women I have had to privilege to know and work for in my life, she remained undefeated. Carrie Fisher was the girl, the hero, the writer of my dreams. RIP.

Carrie Fisher has always been one of my favs - loved her books and her interviews. Princess Leia will also be an iconic role model for me. As a 12 year old girl sitting in a theater in 1977 it was mind-blowing to see such a strong, sassy yet feminine and vulnerable woman. When I saw her I knew I could be just like her - which is just like me. RIP

She survived a dysfunctional childhood, drug abuse, alcoholism, severe depression, bi-polar disorder and weight struggles - surely she can survive 2016. While Leia has always been on of my favorite characters -I have always enjoyed Carrie Fisher's novels and wicked sense of humor. Sending prayers her way. May the Force be with you Carrie!

Can someone fix the link for me?  It's been a while.....

What house has a graveyard on the lawn? Nice choice, Carol.
It's not that uncommon in small towns in the South.

I can't believe it has been 10 years since that awful night at Shannon's father's house. I know that many things have happened to us in those 10 years: jobs, homes, weddings, babies, loss of loved ones, etc. I know that my little family has experience some struggles over those 10 years - but mostly we've found joy. I know that I am a better person for having known Shannon. As hard as it was to see her struggle in her final days, hours and minutes - I believe that experience has made me a more compassionate person. So wherever you are today - or whatever you are doing - take a moment to reflect on all of the good things that you've enjoyed these ten years. Then raise a glass to Shannon.

Rob, I can't tell you how so sorry I am. I cannot imagine how hard it was having to go through that twice in such a short time period. Matt - was really hoping for better news. So sorry about Cora.

I've not read the graphic novels - but between the chatter on this board, Glen's long look at Maggie in his rear-view and Maggie's comment about having to keep moving forward and not letting anything get in her way - do not bode well for everyone's fav walker bait  :'(

And yes...  where are the gay guys?  I've been wondering what's up with those two for a while.  They're actually competent, but they're nowhere to be found right now.

Are they on the scouting trip with Tara?

Rob - so sorry to hear about Dante. Our pets are such a big part of our loves - and they leave a huge hole when they are gone.

I only care about #Richonne in so far as I'm afraid that they just signed Michonne's Death Warrant.  It seemed a foregone conclusion - they've pretty much been living as a family unit since they left Terminus.

Judith might be a much more effective tool to paint Negan as a monster than just about anything else.

I might have agreed with that except would everyone's apathy toward Judith make us not feel as strongly toward Negan being a monster if he killed her? I feel it wouldn't work.

I think they would have to take Negan very differently if he killed Judith, but I like the idea.  I think Rick could eventually reconcile in some way with other character deaths, but would be pretty impossible to let the guy that killed your baby daughter go on living.

I agree. No matter how apathetic you feel about Judith as a character - most people/viewers wouldn't take the killing of a baby very well at all.

No one was noticing the tower crumbling.

I got the impression as I was watching that someone was deliberately tearing it apart. Will have to see when I watch it again.
