So sorry Jesse - that is really tough - especially after dealing with losing your cat. There is nothing quite as great as a good dog.   Making the decision to put them down is always heartbreaking :'(

So sorry to hear that Jesse. She sounded like an amazing girl  :'(

Thanks to the book readers for not spoiling it. I was completely unprepared for it. Honestly - I was much more anxious for Arya - especially when they started playing the Rains of Castamere - I thought it was for her. I have said it all along - the women are the true leaders in this story. Not having read the novels, I say that the front runners are Daenerys and Arya. I used to think Daenerys for sure, but she it seems that she is becoming blood drunk and power hungry - only focused on power. Arya is strong in heart and is more concerned about right and wrong than power. I think she will be the last one standing.

The shows I watch faithfully are:

The Walking Dead
Game of Thrones
The Big C
The Killing (so glad they are bringing it back!)
True Blood
Mad Men

Seems like a lot - but the alternate throughout the year - pretty much all on Sunday nights. Thank goodness for premium channels and DVRs.

I appreciate it - thanks!

I've only read the 1st book. I believe in avoiding even a hint at spoilers. I would prefer it if we kept this thread "book-free" as far as spoilers go and try and keep the focus in the HBO series and have the other thread include both book and tv series.  I don't even read the episode description before I watch a show - that's how spoiler-free I like it! :-)

Damn you GOT - I actually find myself starting to care about what happens to Jamie Lannister!  The thing that really stood out to me in the scene where Dany was dealing with the slave trader was how much she had taken on the mannerisms and tone if Viserys - it was almost uncanny.

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars Sequel Trilogy Speculation

Even if Leia didn't have kids for ten years after ROTJ, it would still mean she had her first kid at 33 years old (Han would be 43). Last time I checked, women have kids that this age all the time w/o any problem whatsoever.

Thank you!!  I didn't even get married until I was 33, had my first child at 36 and my second child at 40. Women have babies after 40 quite often.

Great episode. By far my favorite part was the closing sequence with Dany and her free army. Still haven't quite figured out Margery. I know she is smart and manipulative - but is she really caring or devious and as self-serving as Cersei?  I also like the development if Brienne and Jaimie's "friendship". I have said this before, but the women characters are the brains/heart of this series. They will have the most influence on/over who sits on the Iron Throne.

Just makes me mourn Ned Stark's fate that much more - no awesome pictures of Sean Bean :(

Who knows - maybe in the beginning he cleared the dive out of what little food was in  there and then - along with Duane - lured a bunch of walkers inside to pen them up. Maybe that was how he rolled until he decided to "Clear" his world of walkers - dead or alive.

So on to the previews for next week... Anyone think the "shooter" in the preview for next week is Morgan from Season 1?  He's got to come back sometime??
Good call. At first I thought it would be a little too convenient for them to run into him on a supply run - but it makes a lot more sense considering they went back to Rick's ground zero.

I also don't get why Rick/Daryl/Merle have that stranded look on the outside.  The fence was breached and there are now what 10-15 zombies between the interior and exterior fences?  Heck, they took out more than than saving Rick!  I don't get why they didn't immediately run back around to the interior fence and kill off everything that got through, then try to plug up the holes in the fence?  The longer they wait, the worse that's going to get.

I took the last shot as being symbolic of how fractured/separated the group is becoming.  The longer they stand around and wait to fix it - the worse it's going to get......

On another note - besides the great things that everybody has brought up - there is a little thing that has been bothering me.  In the previews for this week's episode Carol is talking to Daryl about what a bad influence Merle is on him.   I like the relationship Carol and Daryl are building - albiet slowly - I just hope she doesn't turn into Lori and start nagging and harping on him about Shane.2  I like the way Carol has come into her own - I hope it's handled well - she usually has a good way of talking to Daryl.

I think a woman must be writing the Maggie/Glenn storyline because every guy I have talked to does not get WTF her problem is either. Why is she SO mad at him?

I think you just closer to answering your own question.   >:(

Anyone catch The Talking Dead last night?  I want to personally thank fanboy Kevin Smith for christening Carl "Wyatt Twerp"

Best part of Walking Dead last night?  Daryl grabbing his bow on the way out of Woodberry.
