Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Street Wars... A Game.
« on: April 6, 2006, 01:42 PM »
There is a game in my dorm called Assasins which is basically the same thing, except instead of water guns we use stickers. What you do is pay .50 or whatever (which goes to charity) and you get a name. Then it is your job to track down this person and somehow put the sticker on them. Dorm rooms and bathrooms are off limits. Then whoever is the last person without a sticker wins, then the game starts over. Sometimes it takes a month, sometimes 3 days for the games to end.

This Street Wars game is also in the movie Big Trouble starring Tim Allen.

When does the voting end?  I think this has been asked a few times now in this thread.

Anyways, I'll be glad when it's over.  Scum has "VOTE DUSTIN" stuff everwhere and no offense to anyone, but I wish that no site had that stuff all over the place.  To me it's just like pushing a political agenda and using one's media to endorse themselves.  I see nothing wrong with it in the discussion forums, I just don't like it on front pages.  Just my opinion.  Will I get bashed for giving my opinion?  I hope not but quite often when I try and give it, I do.  But I'm glad there isn't a new post on it every day here on the front page like at Scum.  That just annoys the living hell out of me, especially with them doing a "Myspace" ad on it.  Wow.

And I know it's all in good fun, and it would be cool if Jeff wins.  I'm just looking forward to it being over.

I agree with you Justin. I think its really starting to become overkill. They just put up a 2nd announcement on the main page about myspace. Heck, there is even a podcast commercial now. I don't mind people having the Dustin icons, or having it in their signature, but all this constant pushing to vote for Dustin 24/7 is getting tiresome.

Hey, does anyone have a bookmark to one of the threads on RS complaining about the "No Links In Sigs" policy? I can't find any, so have they been deleted?

I stumbled across this thread today while reading some old threads. Scroll down about halfway.

The real thread Jeff made about the sig links was deleted, but the comments in the anti-GH thread lived.

My Star Wars board history has a chapter of posting at SSG...when the old Tomart boards went the way of the dodo (in large part due to the work of Bill Cosby) I moved over to SSG

I'm proud to say that I never once made SSG my home.  I've checked it out a few times over the years, sure, but to me, the guy was, is, and always will be a scumbag, and I've never wanted anything to do with him or his site.

Thats the exact same way I am. That whole scalping thing with him made me lose all respect for him and his site.

If you are referring to the one where Jeff called them out on the signature link thing, yes, that has been deleted.

I've got one, but don't do too much with it. I basically set it up the first day and haven't updated much at all since  :P. I just use it to chat with friends. I have a facebook too if any of you are on that.

I'd like to echo what In Rem said about the black eye. Good idea leaving that in.

I know you want criticism, so I'll try not to sound like a broken record saying "Great job!" for now on... ;)

I thought that the chat between Palpy and Rykrof could have been shortened. For the most part it was just summarizing what happened in the last chapter. I like the idea that Palpy had a private chat with Rykrof though. He seems to be showing a lot of interest in Rykrof (just like he did with Anakin). Maybe he'll try to use him as a pawn? It was also odd that Palpy demanded Rykrof go home...almost as if he was trying to get him out of his hair, or putting him right where he wants him...

Overall the episode seemed pretty calm, like the weather before a storm. I sense that the next installment will be one not to miss!

First off, great job!

Personally I didn't have a problem with the Judiss name thing; I kinda liked it. I do agree with some of the other people's comments though that the "Judiss the traitor" line was somewhat redundant and labored.

I didn't really like it that Rykrof turned his gun on Judiss. Rykrof doesn't seem like the kind of guy who'd double cross you right after you helped him. I also thought that the way Judiss died was kind of anti-climactic IMHO. I'd have liked to have seen him live or go out in a blaze of glory.

Overall, great job, and I'm glad to see Rykrof free!  ;D

Wow, great photonovel!  :o I like that its gritty and dark, just like a real war is. Not everything is fair in life and sometimes bad things happen to good people. The Rykrof custom reminds me a lot of Reservior Dogs. Definitely one of my favorites so far!

Awesome story Justin! I love that Shak Ti custom. Your scenery and backgrounds are amazing man!  :o

Hmm....I don't quite know which figure you are talking about. Joe figures weren't in stores in 1996, so its probably an old mold from after 1997. Check to identify your figure; that should help.

Hey I just noticed, why are there no minorities running??  >:(

There could be. There's only 3 people on that list I recognize anyway  :P

While I can't say I support all of Mr. Hood's policies he's made in the past, the Doombot army is at your disposal!
