Revenge of the Sith / Re: "Evolutions" assortment...
« on: October 29, 2005, 09:03 AM »
I still have yet to find one of these...I saw the Anakin evo at KB for a couple weeks, but I refused to pay 25 bucks for it. Maybe I'll get lucky tomorrow. I'm going out with my dad to get his guitar from the repair shop.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Target's "Attack on Coruscant" Clone 5-pack
« on: October 29, 2005, 09:00 AM »
I was going to buy this set because I thought they had #6 clones in it. So I go to a Target on Route 228 in Carnberry (good place to go to, any Pittsburgh people reading) on the 16th, and their display was huge. Encap set up the whole deal. There was about 20 battle packs. Getting my hopes up, I pick it up, and realize that they're the deluxe clones. Come on, Hasbro! Are you serious? I probably would have bought it if the deluxe had their special gun. Needless to say I was disappointed. On another note, I did find a Wookie Commando there, which I got for my sister.

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Darth_Nirvana's customs UPDATE 10.28
« on: October 29, 2005, 08:50 AM »
Well I said that would be it for a little while, but, I lied. I found some really cheap custom fodder at KBToys, and got to work.

This is a driver for my custom vehicle, the HeavyArtillerySupportVehicle(HASV).

and here is my vehicle mentioned above, the HASV. First, here's some backround.
The HASV is a fast agile vehicle, but it also packs a poweful punch. A low-altitude mortar launcher takes up the space where a small anti-infranty gun used to be. It gives precious anti-infantry/anti/vehicle support in a battle. Extra cargo space has room for an ammo barrel, water container. and two extra shells for the mortar.

Well, there you go. Small update, but I like them. The driver was hard. I had to sculpt a ball-joint for Mace Windu's head, even though that head looks nothing like Mace. Which I'm glad for or else some people might say "Why does Mace Windu have desert fatigues on" or something like that. Thanks for looking.

That might be it for a little while. I need to start looking for some less expensive custom fodder.  :(

Here we go. I have a bunch of new ones, and I'm going to gorget about posing them regularly. Here's a loooong post coming up, be ready. The pics are big (sorry, I don't know how to make them smaller) and I don't have the best camera.

My custom Sith lord, Darth Dosage:

hee,hee ;D

Ki-Adi went to ConeHeadsPlus and got himself some new threads:

A cold weather clone specialist

A custom clone commader, Commander Rayders

Every commander needs grunts!

In reply to to big response, I have altered my Arc.

ARC-170 v.1.1

(notice that the "fingerprints" are gone) ::)

and, to finish it off, a clone "assault vehicle"

Sorry for such a long post. Comments/feedback/criticism appreciated. Thanks!

Hmm, I never thought of that. Good idea. I don't know if it will be a twi'lek, but it be along the lines of that.

Those are cool, I like the use of the Ki-Adi body. I'm not sure if I like his hair though, it seems kind of poofy. Other than that, great paint job. Nice!

I'll say this again, they are not fingerprints on the left wing. I used a flame and i guressed it swirled around toward the bottom of the left wing. It's gone now. I do have the guns, I just keep the proton torpedoes off because I don't like the way they look. I took the rear gun off of the fighter for the picture. I was just showing off the battledamge on the plane, I forgot to say it was a work in progress. I turned it into an "A10 warthog" style Arc, a fast anti-infantry fighter. I bought batteries for my camera last night along with Sasee Tin and Obi Wan pilot at Wal-Mart, so I'll probably have more pics today or tomorrow, depends on when I have the time.

Toy Reviews / Re: Tactical Ops Trooper

Nice review. I still have to find one of these bad boys. Hopefully, when I find them, I can get 2 or 3 of these figs to add to my JTA clones.

Other Toy Lines / Re: Halo and Halo 2 Toys

I think I have 5 or 6 from Halo 2 and two miniwarthogs that I now use for clones. They are pretty nice. I'm a huge fan of the game.

Yeah, I know. The carbon scoring didn't go on towards the bottom of the left wing as I wanted it to go on, but I fixed that, and I also added some black panels to the fuselage and the cockpit canopy. And from some of your other posts I have read, I'm pretty sure that you're not too keen on clone repaints period. But hey, all of my customs aren't clones but when they are, they're original and from my own mind! Thanks for your comments.

Thanks! Yeah, I have an old teenage girl's room, and I think she got mad at her
parents and kicked a hole in the door :)
Bacara's head fits on a #33 body and I used Testors olive drab spary paint. It worked nice. Actually, I did burn my Arc- 170. Man, it got stinky, but I like it. Yeah, I have more, but I don't have any batteries for my camera.

Jocasta's Reading Room / Re: ROTS Novel (Spoilers)
« on: October 24, 2005, 09:16 PM »
I know this thread is kind of old, but I just finished reading it a couple of days ago. It was a good book, but the beginning sequence took forever, almost forcing me to flip through it. This also feels like Matthew Stover is hurrying to finish the book towards the end.
My biggest disappointment was at the end with the whole ordeal on Mustafar. That was probably my favorite part of the movie, the way you can almost feel Anakin's soul getting colder and harder after every Seperatist leader he kills. Instead of doing that and going deeper into his feelings, like it did in most of the book, he makes corny jokes that would be more suitable in an action movie. "The Emporor promised we would be left in peace!", one of the Seperatists shouts, and Anakin replies "He meant in pieces. I mean, come on! That ruined the end for me. Needless to say, I was dissapointed. Sorry for suck a long post. :-[

Hey, thanks! Yeah, I don't have those figures anymore. I changed them, and made a desert Bly, and other figures from my imagination. Thanks for your comments on the ARC. That was my first custom ship, and I think it turned out well. Thanks for your comments!
