I found mine at the Dollar Stores.  There is only three figures, one a Blackbeard type Pirate, the one with a bare chest and a third one.

Gladiators have inspired me.  I am almost complete with an accessory and just need the figure to complement it.

Here is my first attempt at I gladiator I made a couple of years ago.  It was meant to take on Dan Curto's Gamorrean Gladiator.

I too really like the Gonk droids.  If you look at the picture that in on the card, with the "accessories" they gave you it is two different Gonk droids from Echo Base.  One has the front piece and the other has the back piece.  I don't remember seeing any with both pieces.  So I guess you'll have to buy a third one.

Okay, I'm a little odd with the customs I make and would make two possiblities for a customizing challenge.
1. Star Wars gladiator

I need motivation for a companion to my first gladiator

Not too happy with him, but I like the concept.

The other idea is one a friend and I were throwing around at a customizing party.
2.  Pimp My Gonk

With the new Gonks, it would be fun to see what different types of Gonks we could come up with.  (plus I love the droid  ;D )

Thanks for the updated Dug picture.  I like what you did with the sculpting on it.  It looks very well done.

The others are very cool concepts.  On the Toydarian I think there is too much of the scarring.  It looks as nicely sculpted as the Dug, but seems like a bit too much.  If you want that much, I would maybe give it a black wash to darken it a bit, it might not stand out as much.  Just my two cents.   I like the droid parts on the Toydarian.  I did the same on a Rodian bounty hunter I made.  I didn't include any scarring on him, but might try it on the next one I do.

Is that an angel in the background of the Trandoshan figure?  At first it looked like a custom female Snivvian -- and it gave me an idea for a custom -- but when I looked more closely it looked like it had wings.  Either way it gives me a customizing idea.  Thanks for the update.

Very nice.  The red background is very good and the clarity was good as well.  I could see the figures faces much better than the first photo.  I can't wait to see what role Quin has in your photonovel.  Obviously it's during his Sith phase.

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: BocrebJedi's Customs -- Updated 1/20

Hey, it's no problem, I had forgotten to update the title.

The Dresselian was fun, what to do with all those Anakin heads.

The Dug was done almost two years ago, I didn't experiment as much with the paint schemes.  Most of the Jedi I did at that time were simple headswaps.  But I really loved the concept.  I just finished another Dug, an aristocrat (sort of...), which I'll post as soon as I can take pictures of my new customs.

Alderaan Soldier is made with a casted Galoob Riker head.  I had been looking for the Galoob figures to use.  I was buying SW fodder at CIII, they were in a bin for $1 each, with SW figures, I ended up buying a lot of vintage Ewoks (which I haven't repainted yet) and the dealer threw in the Star Trek figures I had picked out for free.  If you want a casted head, PM me and I can get you one.

The Alderaan Officer is made from one of the dollar army men from Wal-mart (also a cast).  The head is a little big for most SW figures, but seemed to work for this body.  I'm not too happy with the skintone on either the Alderaan figures, I need to do some mixing next time I have to paint skintones.

I have a lot more figures on my website and am only picking a few of the ones I like better or were fun to make.

Now a few soldiers and officers.

First is an Imperial Intelligence Officer.

Next is an Alderaan Soldier.

And third is an Alderaan Officer.

Here's the first Dug custom I did.  I have another one finished, just need to take a photo of it.  This one was fun to make.  His lightsaber is removable from his wristguard.

The second is a Rodian kid I made because of all the extra Anakin Tatooine figures I have.

Yeah, more Dug customs.  I would love seeing more Dug and Toydarian customs (I've got a Dug aristocrat and Toydarian street musician in the works).

Anyway, onto your custom.  I really like this concept.  Dash Rendar's ugly backpack/gun thing works well with this custom.  The painting looks good, when you get better pictures of the scarring please post, because from the blurry photo it looks promising.  Also, the armor looks good, can you get a photo of it.  Is it sculpty or from a figure?

Okay, now that the skin-flick is done.  I've got some of my padawans.

The first is an Anakin head which has been sculpted to look like a Dresselian.
The second uses a head from a Dragonball (?) figure.
The third is a Rodian padawan.

The scales are from the scale mail of a Chap Mei Ninja figure.  I painted them with a base of green then gave it numerous yellow washes.

I've noticed that all the figures I've shown so far have been showing some skin.  (alot in the case of the Hutt  :) )  So here's one more.

After I made the female bacta tank custom.  I had some parts left over, so this is what I made.  This Cerean Mercenary/Mechanic  was made from:

Head:  Ki-Adi-Mundi (Epi. I)
Body:  Luke (Bacta Tank)
Arms:  Luke (Dagobah, POTF2)
Waist: Luke (X-Wing Pilot)
Legs:  Jurassic Park figure

I had also just got a new dremel, so I had fun shaving off his beard.

Not sure if I'll have time to participate in this one, but I might at least start on some diorama ideas I have and show my wip.

My idea is to use wood bases which would be able to connect to one another.
                        (peg)  _ ___l    (peg)
                                     l     l
                                     l__ l_   (peg)
                         (peg)   l

That's a general diagram of the base and peg layout.  The wood would be 2'x2' squares.

Okay, I've sorta got the resizing down, so we'll try another one.

This one was based on a recipe by Don Maue.  He made some wonderful customs and I've "borrowed" many of his recipes.

Body, Arms:  Slave Leia
Waist, Legs:  Bacta Luke
Head: well, we all know which head this is by now  ;)  ; it was such a wonderful head I've made many casts of it.

Okay, here's my Rebel Pilot.  The picture is a little blurry (like most of mine), but I think you can get the idea.

I made a bet with a friend of mine who has made an X-Wing Pilot costume that she wouldn't make this one.  Of course, she took me up on it, so I made her this custom.  The fish-net stockings were a pain to do, and I wish they turned out a little better.  It was a fun custom.
