The Original Trilogy / Re: Next question, light saber colors
« on: June 8, 2003, 10:55 PM »
Damn, now I'll have to learn how to read.   I know I saw something somewhere, but where was it?  I think it related to a yellow saber color....

Oh Lord.

Quote
Gotta love all those celebrity interviews from the sidelines, eh?!    Cuba Gooding Jr., Emilio Estevez...  Don't get much better than that!

Yeah, REAL hockey fans there. ::) >:(

Matt, you better pray real hard they win in Jersey or you will become the victim of the biggest, ugliest thread ever.  If they lose, I'm pulling every quote you've had over the past year that relates to the Lakers and Ducks and plopping them all in one doozy of a post.   ;)

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Hulk
« on: June 8, 2003, 10:51 PM »
In this day and age, Ferrigno simply couldn't pull it off and be comparable to all the FX stuff we see.  I'll reserved judgement on the flick until I see it.  The hype is astronomical, even the case of Mountain Dew I brought home has the Hulk on it (and on the cans) ::)

I hope it's a huge hit, if only to get the 80 billion Hulk figures jamming the pegs at all the stores. ::)

WE have only 2 TRU's and they got their MM6 figs about 2 weeks apart for some reason.  The one that got them second restocked whereas the first has not.  Go to your TRU and ask them for the fig, then ask them to check the other stores.  Depends who you ask, but sometimes you luck into a helpful and friendly person.  It's worked a few times for me, notably with the Tie Interceptor.

I'm sure you know this, but just as a reminder.  I'll be hunting until you say you have one.

Looks like it will take another three trips to get yours.  None today, lots of Predator 2, but no oozy dude.  None in the back either ::)  I'll check our other TRU later in the week.

Yep, uber long jumps were common in the comic books, so this doesn't seem that out of character.  Suspension of disbelief necessary yes, but not out of the realm of possibility (oh, I am so full of it).

Hey FG welcome to JD where we support all action figure ideas even Darth Maul on the crapper :-*

I'd buy that one.  Does it come with a newspaper?

Greetings Force Guy.

But the important thing is we collect what we love and Jangos the father of the Clone Troopers (Storm Troopers in Ep.3 I presume). That makes him very important.

Yeah, I've always thought of Jango as kind of impotent too.  Oh wait, that's not what you wrote... ;)

Welcome fellow Canucklehead. ;D  Remember, Ewoks suck Bantha poodoo.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: AT-ST
« on: June 8, 2003, 04:48 PM »
I'm inclined to think Hasbro is too busy saving money and would use the same mold again for the AT-ST.  Maybe a redeco but that's about it.  No substantive improvements.  Lots of other ships to rehash to prior to redoing that one.  It was out what, 2001-2002?  Too soon.  Now the AT-AT is due ;D

Saga '02-'04 / Re: OMG! I found something NEW at Walmart!
« on: June 8, 2003, 04:46 PM »
My local Wally World just put up a "new" case of Padme DFC, SP-4&JN66, Blonde Imp, Yoda, and the like. I thought we were soppesed to be seeing actually new figures? Not new shipments of old figures. ???

Grass is always greener.  Last "new" fig I saw was the Maul fig (#42 or so) and Tatooine Attack Anakin ::)  All of one case.  Canuckian Walmarts are reporting no new figures until August.   :o

Vader throws his saber and Luke slashess the pipe, I thought the "action features" were supposed to be gone before these figures came out? That being said, I think most of these figures look pretty good.

I think these are the last figs with the action features.  No more AFTER these dudes.  I think these will be interesting.  I just hope the Vader is posable in such a way that Luke can slash off his hopefully removable hand.  Of course if you gave me a Vader with slashing action and a Luke with removable hand.....

Hi Batman,

If you can’t get it sorted out, you could try www.villagephotos.com . This is one of the few (free) image-hosting sites than allows outside linking of pictures (i.e. they host it, and you can post it on any forum you like).

ACk!  Don't use them!  Villagephotos seems to be down at least 25% of the day.  Bleh.

Actually, I use Villagephotos for my avatars and such......I haven't had alll that much problem with downtime for my pics ;)

This is quite funny, your avatar is not visible (red x) as I type this.  LOL.

Doesn't the catalogue usually show up in an issue of Toyfare?  That's how I get mine.
