One swell foop? :D

BTW, Scott, just so you know, Shulkie is coming to you.  In fact, according to the tracking number, you have it.  Is this so?

OK, at this point, you're Matt, they're Matthew and Virex.

I remembered what I said in the chat.  Just trying to get 'Jeff's attention, though it didn't work.  Regardless 'Jeff', sorry.

Not going to repeat it here.  Ahem. ;)

D'oheth, a fusion of my favorite sci fi series and my all time personal role model ( and some say look alike).  How much cooler could it be than that?  Welcome.

Sounds like the builder sets will run $10 per pack of 3...

Wave 1 Case is

2x Clone Troopers
2x Destroyers
2x Battle Droids

Wave 2 Case

2x Clone Troopers
2x Destroyers
1x Jedi
1x Battle Droids

I ordered a case of Wave 2 from somewhere :-X

Thanks for the hint.

I only ordered the wave 2 case.  To make up for it, I ordered teh Saga Scene pack and set of unleashed openers.   ;D

Saga '02-'04 / Re: KEBco Toys Question
« on: May 7, 2003, 01:42 PM »

Hunting for figures is worthless these days, because I always end up with the same results... finding nada!  If I were you, I would just start ordering all your figures online.  You'll save money in gas, wear & tear on your car, and won't have headaches anymore.

Isn't this sad?  I love hunting for figures (and that seems to have been the driving force behind my involvement with McFarlane) but what's the point.  I haven't purchased a figure for myself (SW that is) in Canada since probably August of last year, maybe September.  I found a few trilogo things for variant trading partners, but that's about it.  Tragic, it is.

I like that idea too.  A 10 pack.  Wow!  Probably cost about $150 Cdn :-[

I'll buy up the three packs as well.  I just hope they are done with sensible colors for the troopers.  I still maintain Hasbro screwed up.  The preview trooper should have been red and the regular release should have been all white.  Officer as a preview, grunt as a reg.  As it is, distribution up here was so poor (and the preview figs ran in at around $14 a piece after taxes!) that I have more officers than not.

I htink Boba is in the works, isn't he?  That's what one of the earlier posts indicated.  Boba will sell very well.

How about an unleashed Shmi?

:o  I like the way you think. ;D

Perhaps group Unleashed, Epic Force, Applause, and the Hasbro 10" vinyl figures together in one forum?

I like this suggestion.  sort of the non-12" big figs miscellaneous section.

Not a great picture, but it will do.  Gracias.  I had such a thing for her through the 80's.  Oy.

And that is my hope.  The way they suggested they are going to send them probably gives us better odds than a regular sealed case.  Of course, we have no idea exactly what is coming.  Lord help us if we end up with 24 Boba Fett.  :o

But how many of these will sell?

I just finished reading the 'what killed the deluxe' thread, come in here and go, hmm, Deluxe Ackbar?  Not bloody likely I'd buy it and I buy damn near everything.

The mains would sell - 3PO, R2, Chewie.  Lando's a stretch, IMO but could be good.  Stormie's could work as could Clonetroopers.  Any imperial with a helmet should sell well, so the DSG, Tie pilot, AT_AT driver (with cockpit?) would probably do well.  But so many of these guys don't lend themselves to either the sexy aspect (Leia, Padme) or the aggressive aspect (all the male characters).  Perhaps some of the female Jedi would lend themselves to unleashed figures, but how would they sell.

Actually, how is the line in general selling?  They are quite nice, but the price point is higher than comparable McFarlane figs (due nod to Carrie for pointing out the comparison).  It's tough for me to comment, as I've only ever seen Jango and Maul at retail.  Padme, Anakin and Vader I had through trades, but arrived here on clearance and the most recent 4 have never been seen in Canuckada, to the best of my knowledge (outside of comic shops).

Episode 1 / Re: What's your favorite vehicle?
« on: May 7, 2003, 12:09 PM »
As another astromech freak, I can relate.  But I was very fortunate, I only had to trade to current Saga figs to get the droid.  It wasn't minty fresh, but pretty good shape and that's quite a bargain for the droid alone.

The Starship would be cool to own, but I missed the clearance sale.  It weighs a ton and the shipping alone would cost a fair bit.
