Pass the knife and fork, I'll have a Guiness too.

Failing that, a nice rusty nail with a beer (any Steinlager floating around these parts?) will do.

Hmm, at least one of those comments seemed really familiar ;)

You can call me rlama llama ding dong (RLDD for short).  I used to have that until someone here gave me a new designation.   ???  Sigh.

Minnesota's win was a fluke...

The Av's will shake it off and show the new kids how to play in the post-season. Try and keep Forsberg out of the next one!

Ya think?  How many of those first games were flukes.  Most?

LMK when you finally finish puberty, young pup.

Young pup?  How old are you?

39 years young.  On the fringe of truly old age.  No offense meant by the comment.

Heh heh heh ;D

Old man, take a look at my life, I'm a lot like you...

Happy B-day young fella.  (I can only presume I cleverly hid mine in my profile).  Thanks for being older than me. 8)

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Jedi Defender: Scalper Supported?
« on: April 9, 2003, 11:44 PM »
Heh, start collecting McFarlane sportspicks if you really want to see what scalping is all about.  Ebay dictates price, even on that board.  Quite lovely, I must say, particularly since I can't always get to stores at 7 am.  Oh well, lots of contacts in the SW world to help me out.   ;)

I guess with respect to the sponsors, depends on how they obtain their figures.  If a store had someone out at store opening buying up figures to resell, yep, that's scalping.  If, on the other hand, they have product delivered to their door, they can sell it for whatever they please.  For every Ephant Mon they send out the door at $20, they probably take a loss on Jar Jar Senator.

You've got the right idea Cory, no support, no business.  But I sure see why they have them as a sponsor, because the site costs money, so you takes what you gets.  And from what Scott says, for vintage, they're pretty good.  Not a bad thing to have redeeming qualities.

Vintage.  *shudder*, now there's a road I don't want to go down...

Naw, that's ok, she's hot.  Ever see the cover with her in a white bikini? :o  That pic should be in the other thread. ;)

I just didn't bother listing all the comics, just the mains.

Forgot to include spiderman/marvel figs as well.  Again, selective little git, I am.

I collect bug books too.

Oh, stop thinking like a collector Scott ;)

Seen any Chewie's or Vader's on the pegs lately?  Probably some of the figures that kids actually do buy.  Sales, sales, sales that's what it's all about.

Not that I need another Chewie, just letting my right wing business side out for some fresh air. 8)

Hmmm.

Bugs ;D

star wars 1995-present 3 3/4 figs,, Unleashed (though I won't own two Vaders) vehicles, playskool, action fleet;
but I've quasi-broken out of being a completeist.  I don't have every figure associated with Episode I or the vehicles or beasts.  Just no attachment there and same loathing for all things Gungan as I have for Ewoks (actually worse).

Simpsons - Homers plus a few others.  Have the THOH figs plus Burns, Burns Manor, Hank Scorpio, Smithers and now, apparently Scout Leader Ned diddly Flanders.  No MOE :D

LOTR - started and abandoned.  Only have FOTR Ring Wraith, Gandalf, Gimli, Legolas and Aragorn and they are all available except for Gandalf and Ring Wraith.  Have TTT Ring Wraith and Horse, but will happily trade it away.

McFarlane Sportspicks - NHL mostly.  Have all of NHL2-4 with the exception of a red Hull and a white Thornton.  Waffling about only keeping the goalies though.  These are the other acceptable things on display at work (Homer being the other).

Comics - from 1984-1994 or so, I collected comics and comic related cards.  Mostly Marvel (X-men, spidey, DD, Thor, Hulk) and some DC (predominantly Batman titles, though some supe, catwoman), Image (Spawn, Gen 13) and some others.  I fell out of it when big boobs became a super power that resulted in high comic book value :-\ >:(

Only thing my wife collects is Disney movies/DVD's so I can relate Matt.  Oh how I wish she would start with something.  Much easier to rationalize a purchase that way, or so Koda tells me. ;)

OH sure, my moment of glory edited away.

You starting to get nervous about the playoffs?  Trying to make sure my name ain't up there in glowing lights when the Oceaners fail to fourpeat?  Chickenboy?
