Chicago's pretty white at the moment.  At least 6-8" down already and projecting blizzard conditions from 4pm - 9pm tonight.  Can easily see 1.5-2' by the time it's all done.

Good luck East coast, it's coming your way next.

We've shipped all the snow south this summer.  Honestly, if we don't get snow in February then I'll be riding my bike to work in March without much hassle.  That happens about once every ten years or so the last time being around 2003.

At this point, dust.

LOL.  Not far off myself.

Marvel Universe selectively though they're making it hard enough to find that I'm not collecting much anyway.

Thinking about a Sideshow premium format Snowtrooper but hoping they sell out before I get around to it.

That's about it.

Stayed away from the Sideshow Snowtrooper but gave in on the Gold Stormtrooper bust from GG  ::)

MU is about it now.  Really wanting to downsize, but too damn lazy to sell with all the horror stories from EBay.  In the back of my mind I think I'm just waiting until new stuff launches and collectors get a little crazy again filling holes with old stuff.  I hope.

I don't give a **** what her name is as long as she shows up in a skintight costume.  I've had the hots for Evangeline since Lost.  Pretty awkward during the last two Hobbit films where I got wood because she was dressed as an elf.

 ;D

I think the Canadians have passed on to a different club now  :o

Congrats Scott, I echo the ghost's sentiments wholeheartedly.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Gas Prices

Gas was anywhere from $4.25 (resort pricing) down to $2.99 (Costco) in Hawaii but it's always ballparking Canadian prices anyway.  Currently $0.86 per liter here, or $3.44

Aloha from the Big Island all.

Nice!  I've been to Oahu and Maui which were both fantastic.  But I hear the Big Island is amazing.  Are you going to go check out that lava flow in Pahoa?

Likely we will.  We saw the flow two years ago when it was going into the ocean so this might be a little less visually exciting but still cool.  We were on Maui last week.   :)

The Big Island is probably our favourite (haven't been to Kauai yet) because it's so diverse and there's so much to do.  The only problem lies in the name - it is very big.  Where you can drive around the other islands and never really be that far away from anything here it's heck of a drive to most places.  We're currently 2 hours one way from Pahoa largely because the beaches and weather are far better on this part of the island (Waikoloa in the south Kohala district).  So if we go see the lava flow we're looking at a really long day but it would be worthwhile.

Holy crap, I'm in the finals! Good luck Brent, although I'm sure you won't need it with the points your team has been racking up lately.

And good luck to you too.

I'm still a firm believer in Luck (hopefully not the guy on your bench this week though) so I really think it's anyone's game.

Aloha from the Big Island all.

Up less than 15 versus Patrick and he still has 3 positions going with Cobb, Crosby, and Packers Defense.  Not feeling good about my chances unless Lacy has a big game.  Going up against Cobb in another playoff game as well, so here's hoping the TDs favor Lacy and Nelson instead.

Pretty impressive win by Brent this week - 90.97 to 90.60.  Does it get any closer than that?  Unreal.  Kudos to Marin on easily knocking off Scott.  Fitting match up and result for Packer fan vs. Viking fan this year.   ;D

In spite of my high scoring losses this season, I've had a similarly equal horseshoe in winning three games by a grand total of 2.2 points spread over all three of those wins.

I'm not celebrating just yet in case there is a scoring correction.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Bond, James Bond

I think you mean Monica Belluci, she's topping 50 but she is hot as all hell.
I never get tired of watching her in a movie.

You're right on both points.  My bad.

She is hot as hell, but you don't see too many "old" Bond women.

Looks like the young Bond woman is Lea Seydoux.

Very true, but the Bond movie's initial primary market has long been the baby boomers.  The ass end of the boomer generation turned 50 this year.  So it makes sense from that standpoint, so long as they retain the younger eye candy as well.

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: The Force Awakens Trailers
« on: November 29, 2014, 11:16 PM »
Trying hard to remain positive.  I loved and grew up on the OT, seeing SW the first time(s) in theater at age 13.

I enjoyed the PT in theaters, though it was a struggle.  Upon reflection on the PT though I find myself fairly disenchanted by that trio of movies.  It hurt.

The trailer had cool aspects to it and looked good.  I'm guessing I'm one of the few that disliked the dark side saber.  Hilts?  Um, what?  And the soccer ball bit is disturbing.

That said, I actually enjoyed the ST reboot movies because I looked at them mostly as fluff and fun and that worked.  JJ's movies seem enjoyable to me.  And Disney has done some wonders with other franchises so I'm hopeful.  Guardedly so however.

The results of this week pretty much lock up the final two playoff spots for Brent and OCB, no?

Looks that way.  I got shafted with a 57.21 to 57.53 loss last week, but I guess I was due to lose a close one.

Ooh, you put up a whopping 57 points and got shafted?   :-*
