Clever.

The AT-AT'e are clearly a Canadian weapon though, given how well we've done in moguls.   :)

I was expecting to be ahead of Scott right now, but my team kind of dudded it through the last ten days.

Three way race, to be decided by who plays well after the Olympic break and injuries.

Finally saw this line today and while it looked fine, I didn't think I needed anything from it that is currently available.  Nice to see some decent quality figures still coming.

Totally agree with you Tracy...  He needs a hand other than his dad's, and Michonne is that hand.  She's the person he's going to become more like...  He really needs to, to survive.  His Dad can't teach him that kind of stuff.

I think the producers pretty much stated that's her role for Carl when Rick sits down on the couch and says "it's for you".

Come one, come all to the nerdverse version of baseball.

New teams always welcome.  At least as soon as I figure out what I've set up.   :-[

Invites were sent to last year's participants (I think).  The whole thing is behaving oddly right now, I'll get it sorted out shortly.

Jets completely trolled the Hawks tonight.  Goaltenders can win hockey games, almost all by themselves.

The Hawks have been making goalies look like All-Stars all season...  Except their own of course...

Raanta played quite well while Crawford was out.   :-\

No longer mad at you Rob.   ;)

Buyer contacted me today to say the shipment arrived.  Postal system even apologized to the buyer saying the box had been there a while but got shuffled off to the side and forgotten about.  So it was a Mexican system screw up, though I can see that happening anywhere.  Doesn't do a lot to alleviate the feelings I have about shipping where tracking is expensive so I don't see me changing my stance on the shipping policy going forward.

But the buyer is sending me the money again.

I was quite angry when it happened and in my response to him/eBay, my early draft showed that anger.  Thankfully I didn't send it, revised it to be disappointed but polite and asked that should it show up I would appreciate it if he would contact me and pay me and lo and behold, he did.  Honey good, vinegar bad.

If I could avoid eBay to clear out the extras in my collection I would.  I just don't know of any great other options.  I've only had tepid response from listing things on Craigslist.

I agree that opening it up to bidders outside the U.S. often results in more money and I don't really like to exclude anyone if I don't have to, but I'd just rather have less money and be able to keep it.   :-\

Changing gears to respond to the quote above, we have a thing called Kijiji.ca up here and I don't know if it exists in the U.S.  It's really pretty much exactly the same as  Craigslist and I've had spectacular luck with it last December.  I decided to move out a bunch of stuff, notably Hasbro ships and I sold all of my ships, about 25 of them, except for two A-wings, a Tie Interceptor and the OTC Tie vs. X-wing set.  I picked ships in particular because the shipping on larger items out of Canada is absolutely horrendous.  I sold a Gunship on Ebay for $100 and charged $20 shipping but actually paid $44.  No way any buyer was paying that amount in shipping even though it's the completely accurate cost. So selling ships was making me take a loss on shipping on top of eBay and PayPal fees.  Ugh.

Any chance it is still on its way?  I bought something from China a few months back and it literally took a full month to get to me for some reason.  Guess they are making delivery by rowboat these days.

Every chance it's still on the way.  I don't know Mexico well but I have to imagine that the postal system isn't any better than Canada's.  I mailed it on December 11th, so I'll give the buyer credit for waiting a good while (nearly six weeks) but that doesn't mean it isn't coming.

As for calling ebay, no dice.  Responsibility for tracking is mine, even if I can prove I offered it and it was declined (which I can from the messages).  The tracking is to protect me, without it, the "buyer has no proof I shipped".   :-\

I hate you Rob.

Completely irrationally I'm blaming you for what just happened to me on EBay.  I believe I just got hosed by a Mexican buyer that claims an item never arrived.  I didn't provide tracking because to ship from Canada to Mexico is stupid expensive and the buyer declined.  I decided to be a nice guy and ship to him anyway (I am a fool) and he filed for non-delivery.  Well, without tracking I have no proof and no way will EBay side with me.  Not even going to try and fight this one but two crappy postal systems = disaster for me.  I'm out $50 and no way am I shipping to Mexico ever again.

I don't believe the problem was at the Canadian end either as I shipped seven other auctions out the same day as the one to Mexico and they all arrived.  I know this because (miraculously) I received feedback on all of the other auctions.

Stoopid eBay.  Stupider seller.   >:( :P
