Is any sticking with the Agents of SHIELD?  My son and I have enjoyed the show but I worry that it is not going to have enough general appeal. It seems to be losing ratings each week. I suspect ABC has poured too much into it to kill it early but I hope it survives.  I think references and cameos to the other parts of the franchise will help.

I wish she would just write more books and then adapt those for cinema. This cutting out the middle man stuff sort of defeats the best thing about this franchise - how excited it got kids about reading.

I'm totally with you on this. I'm looking forward to more in the universe but I'd much rather have a new series of books first!  My kids loved these.

That does look pretty sweet. Are the lights integrated or did you add those?

Anyone have the Yoda 12" Hut?  Sideshow has slightly discounted the price and offering free shipping... I'm debating ordering one for my Yoda.

So apparently they are filming the new Transformers in Chicago today. We were driving downtown and I saw the new Optimus Prime parked on the side of the road. Pretty sweet. We weren't expecting it so I didn't have my camera ready!

Every time I see a picture of that imperial Offocer chase, I can't help but think it looks half finished. Why didn't they at least paint some clothing lines in the upper torso.

Anyway, sorry to side track your question. I don't have this chase so I can say anything about the similarities.

I think its 1 point = 5 cents.  I just got my Sideshow statement today (via email) and I have 920 points and they say that corresponds to $46.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Costco Appreciation Thread!

Last time I went to Costco, it was an impulse buy of cheap 5-pack of socks for $6.  Time before that it was a 2.5lb bag of M&Ms.   ::)

As long as you avoide the impulse buy of a 70" LED TV you should be fine.

Also it's TOTALLY WORTH reading all the books even if you've seen parts of the first 3 on TV.  They're awesome.

I agree and with a year of time between now and the start of Season 4, there's plenty of time to go back and relive the entire saga.

I've been inspired to jump back into Book 4 (started it again last night) and hope to get through 4 and 5 before next season...  Not sure when Book 6 may actually get published.

  Maybe I should film it..

I was thinking this morning, that I really should convince my wife to watch the series.  I'd just watch her reaction to Eddard and the Red Wedding.  Its just not the same effect since I'm the only one at home that watches it (and I've read the books).

I do remember being visibly upset when I read that chapter of the book... I kept coming to the same thoughts "why do bad things keep happening to good people".

Sorry, but this twitter feed has me laughing out loud.  It is a collection of fan twitter reactions to the Red Wedding.

NOTE:  Language is NOT appropriate for work/kids.

And now you know why book readers have been waiting for this episode all season - the on screen adaptation of one of the most shocking scenes in the books and the reactions of non-book readers.  I got goosebumps when Rains of Castemere started playing, knowing full well what was coming.

Amen... I thought for sure that would be the season finale.
