between tearing them up myself, my younger siblings taking my unplayed with toys, and mom just throwing stuff away i don't have a single remnant of my childhood sw toys.

My SW toys were the only ones my mom wouldn't let me get rid of for some reason. She actually kept them from me, only to be found years later. I'm glad she did be cause every other figure I had was either busted and thrown out or sold...

I used to be hardcore into the NFL SP's when they first came out but I got tired of hunting them down so I sold them all off. The only ones I kept were my Saints (my fav team). Here's my complete collection:

Kubricks / Re: 400% Kubricks

When I knew I had the Luke & Han coming, I had to get a Fett.
I got the ESB one, I like it just as much and it is cheaper.
I paid 145 plus shipping, but I have seen them go a little cheaper.
Simon gets them sometimes and Honorius usually has some (check ebay for
honorious).
Hope for a Vader next!

I'm pretty sure that Vader is next. I just hope that this one's helmet stays on! I had to glue mine...

That being said, if they make a Quagmire figure that does the head jerk action or the Dirty Old Man, someone let me know, as I'll break the rules to get those.   ;D

Funko just released a Quagmire Bobblehead that has the head action. I got it for Xmas and it was the only one I wanted from the set for that reason...

As for the Mezco figures, I almost have them all including both Deaths, both box sets and the Toyfare Chris exclusive. The only ones I didnt get were Bedtime Stewie from series 1, the 1.5 family boxset, the 12" Stewie and the 18" Peter...

Other Toy Lines / Re: 2006: What Are You Collecting?
« on: January 11, 2006, 02:11 PM »
I've dubbed 2006 as "The Year of the Kubrick" for me. I've decided to sell off most of my misc toy collection and concentrate solely on the Crack-bricks. In the last 11 days since the ball dropped i've managed to get:

- every series of SW Kubrick except for 2
- 400% Han Trooper
- the 1st TRU Box Set
- Luke Stormtrooper, Vinyl Jawa, Endor Han and White Sandtrooper chases
- complete set of 6 Batman Movie figures MOC
- DCD Batman set
- complete regular set of 6 Batman Comic figures
- Child's Play 2: Chucky Babekub
- Planet of the Apes boxsets G and H
- 10 assorted Marvel. Disney and Kellogg's figures
- BTTF Marty, Doc, Jennifer and Einstein figures

So for the rest of 2006 i'm going to try and complete my SW collection as well as Batman and Marvel Kubs and anything else that strikes me (400%, Muppets, Sesame, etc...)

I haven't given up on all other figures though. I still collect Mezco's Family Guy and Hellboy lines and I am eagerly anticipating NECA's Cult Classics series 3/4 and SOTA's Now Playing. Not to mention any other figure that just catches my eye as I stumble through the toy aisles...
This is going to be an expensive year...

Kubricks / Re: Kubricks and Minimates
« on: January 11, 2006, 01:49 PM »
I'm going to be very tempted by the Galactus, but at the same time I think I like the scale of the 18" Marvel Legends Galactus more.

I *love* the pics of the MiniMate Galactus though - that's really great design.

EDIT: I take that back: upon further review, I found that that's a statue, not a figure.  That sucks.  =\

They call it a statue but it seems to be partly articulated with jointed elbows. If you look at the Wolverine and Spiderman, they look like the exact make of the smaller counterpart with full articulation. I have a feeling that the term "statue" is used incorrectly...
I really like these larger Mini-mates but the $85 msrp is kinda steep for only 8" of figure. If I can find them for cheaper (under $50), i'll definitely pick them up...

Hmm off the top of my head, from my childhood I still have:

Figures:
- Darth Vader case with the stickers applied
- Chewbacca
- Boba Fett
- Darth Vader
- Han Solo (big head)
- Hammerhead
- Leia Boush
- Lando Skiff
- C-3PO
- R2-D2
- Cloud Car Pilot
- Nien Numb
- Admiral Ackbar
- IG-88
- Zuckuss (4-Lom)
- Bossk
- Dengar
- Tusken Raider
- Yoda
- Tie Fighter Pilot
- At-At Driver
- Emporer Palpatine
- Bib Fortuna
- Obi-Wan
- Chief Chirpa
- Logray
- 2-1B
- Stormtrooper

Playsets:
- Jabba the hut (w/replacement Salacious and Pipe)

Vehicles:
- Tie Fighter (missing one whole wing)
- X-Wing (missing canopy)

That's all I can recall off the top of my head as I look at the checklists.

Here's what i've aquired as of the past few years:

- 12" Chewbacca MIB
- Chewbacca's Bandolier Strap MIB
- ROTJ Chewbacca MOC
- C-3PO w/detachable limbs & backpack

I'm hoping to eventually get 12back SW, ESB and POTJ Chewaccas MOC to complete my vintage Chewie collection...

Kubricks / Series 5
« on: January 11, 2006, 09:32 AM »
I just received my series 3 case (of 12) from National Console Support and pulled a Vinyl Jawa :o, my 1st (1/96) chase figure. I was hoping for a Logray but beggars can't be choosers ;D.

Now to keep it or sell/trade for a chase I really want???

Now that we got these, anyone else thinking about picking up one of the Fetts?

That was exactly what I was thinking last night when I opened my Han. Those 400% are AMAZING! I still need Luke but i'm going to try and get Fett 1st...

Great collection Scott! I hope to get my collection all out and displayed someday. For now most of it sits in boxes and misc areas...

I like those mirrored display cases. I just found one of those in my father-in-law's basement. It was from his old hobby shop. Now I just need to convince him to let me have it. It needs some repair and cleaning but it will be worth the work once it's up and displayed...

Newbies / Hi, i'm Madcow and i'm a toy-a-holic...
« on: January 10, 2006, 12:01 PM »
Hey everyone!
I was reffered over to here from some friends over on the boards at www.kubrickworld.com.

I've been a Star Wars collector for 20+ years and have collected everything from vintage all the way up to POTF2. My interest faded around POTJ and I went on to collect other movie and comic toys/memorabillia. Recently I saw the Star Wars Kubricks by Medicom and my passion for collecting SW rekindled and I had to get them all (i'm still in the process). There has been alot of amazing stuff put out in the last 20+ years, it's almost too much to handle so i've narrowed my SW collecting to Kubricks and anything Chewbacca (my fav SW character) related...

I just wanted to drop a note to all and say howdy and I look forward to talking to you about everything and anything...

Cheers!

Here is one in the US for $89 plus shipping:

I didn't order my 400% Han from them but I did order a case of series 3 Saturday that will be here today. So they seem reliable on the quickness of processing and shipping...
