Watto's Junk Yard / The Great 2010 Collector's Challenge
« on: January 5, 2010, 12:32 AM »
2009 is done & gone so onto the 2010 Great Collector's Challenge.

Reference from the past Great Collector's Challenge:

The Great 2009 Collector's Challenge
The Great 2008 Collector's Challenge
The Great 2007 Collector's Challenge
The Great 2006 Collector's Challenge
The Great 2005 Collector's Challenge
The Great 2004 Collector's Challenge

I'll keep the 2009 Great Collector's Challenge pinned for awhile for those who have not posted their damage year end tally yet.

This year starts off with a bang for me, I have already past the $500. US mark & only 4 days in. What's in it for me this year, anything vintage that is eye candy, maybe the odd animated character maqettes (1 on preorder) & animated character keys if any are done this year. SW Kubricks, well you know I can't past them up so that is going to put a hole in the wallet bank account.  :P

I have also been working on my Space 1999 focus so I can see that putting more some more damage "2nd mortage".   ;D

I will have to see what happens before/during C5 & what I can find/get. I can see some $$$$ spent in Orlando.  >:D

What are your Hotel plans to stay in Orlando? Any good restaruant ideas & what attractions will you see if you stay longer or during the event?

I'm staying at the Rosen Centre just across the street from the Convention Centre. I booked a few days after C5 to take in some sites.

SeaWorld looks nice but not sure if I can fit it in.

Universal Studios looks intersting, I took in Universal when I was in LA back in 1986 & would like to take it in if I can.

Disney World is another place I would love to see, can I do that in a day... lol!

Kennedy Space Centre, oh man I'm in heaven. Being a space buff, this is one tour I can't miss. Tours can be had for $85. up & are aprox 11.5 hrs long. No launches are on tap for this time period tho... bummer. Still, this is where space history is... spam in a can.  :D

Restaraunts, some choices to get some grub close by. Elegant Pizzeria & Deli, IHOP, Denny's, Red Lobster, Taco Bell, McDonalds & whatever else is handy. Nothing really different than up here in Canada tho.

Anyone with some advice for other places to chow down or see the sites (reviews), holler.  :)

The Early Bird set Chewy:

I had to do some checking on this, it looks like Chewy is carded!

Posted over at the Toyworld forum

Translation ala Bablefish: Medicom 2009/07 KUBRICK CHEWBACCA blister card specification.

So a carded Chewy limited to 1000 pieces, looks like 500 at the show & 500 online I think.

Jeff, can you do some checking around & hopefully shed more light on this?
