I finally cracked this open last night to add to my Mandalorian shelf.

I'm totally underwhelmed by this, especially for the full retail price, and I didn't need the Death Trooper either.

The bottles, stools, etc. are nice, and the backdrop isn't bad.  But the cardboard door is pretty lame and the bar itself isn't all that detailed or interesting.

I think part of my heartburn is that there just aren't any fun aliens to put in the bar and most of the rest of the characters that interacted with this scene can just as easily stand next to my Razor Crest and fit in.

Ultimately I think it should have been $30 without the Death Trooper and I would feel more okay about its lameness.

I'll keep it in place for now but as soon as I get more space constrained this will be the first thing to go.

Tough choice for a Haslab campaign on multiple fronts.  It sounds like having a generic Inquisitor lightsaber would be hard to pull off, and nobody knew who Reva was when this started.  Even if they had done the launch later I still don't think Reva was that interesting of a character and thus the lightsaber isn't all that iconic.

I'm not sure any amount of marketing support from the Hasbro team would have pushed this over the finish line, but you can clearly see the difference between the GI Joe promotions and the energy behind those Haslab offerings.  I'm not sure anyone here was even close to on the fence about this.

For 6” I still think the AT-ST is doable and wouldn’t be such a burden to display. You could also add some excellent tiers in there with extra Ewoks, logs, etc. people keep saying X-wing but that would be too damn big.

I think they would definitely need to make something that is more vertical that you could put on top of a bookshelf or something.  Although how tall would a 6" scale AT-ST be?  Probably close to 3' wouldn't it?  Still probably too tall to be displayed very easily in most cases.

I too would love to see The Ghost in 3.75".  Maybe if the ship shows up in the Ahsoka mini-series we might have a chance of them offering it.

So cool that my new house is about 18 miles from Kennedy Space Center!  The kids love watching the Rocket launches and SpaceX putting up a Falcon 9 roughly every 10 days is not going to get old anytime soon!

Very cool.  Someday I want to see a rocket launch.  Every time I'm in FL I consider it, but then realize that many launches are usually delayed by days, weeks, months so waiting around for one to happen is a serious commitment if you're just visiting.

I've been to Kennedy Space Center a couple times and its always a sweet science and history hardcore fest.  I remember going there as a kid in the late 70's right before the Columbia took off for the first time and attending a few presentations on all the new Space Shuttle tech.  I can still remember them turning off the lights, taking a blowtorch to the ceramic shield tiles, watching them glow in the dark when superheated, and then only a minute or two later picking it up with their bare hands.

More proof that patience pays off in this hobby.

Also waiting for Rob's FOMO forcing him to buy something at three times retail causing the item to be sold on clearance about a week later.   ;)

This was an interesting ride.

Instant pre-sale sellout.  A year later more appeared at full retail.  And then six months later the price is slashed.  We haven't seen this type of clearance in a long time as things are usually sold out and gone forever pretty quickly, especially exclusives.

The project is officially unfunded with a final tally of 1,413 backers.  Just a wee bit shy of the goal of 5,000.

Anybody watching "Better Call Saul"?  The last batch of episodes just kicked off with the series finally wrapping up in a few weeks.

Just like Breaking Bad, the writing on this show is amazing, as is the cinematography.  I'm not a real TV critic, but you can really tell the difference between a show like Better Call Saul and pulpy fun shows like Stranger Things, Ozark, etc.  There are no plot holes.  No goofy plot devices.  No sloppy writing.

Better Call Saul is definitely a slow burn in comparison to Breaking Bad, but its really picked up steam this season and is downright fantastic.

Was there ever an explanation as to how Dr. Brenner (Papa) survived S1?  Seemed like he was a goner, but I guess we never saw the body... In this season he had a scar on his face, but I don't recall if he had that in previous seasons.  I was wondering if there were clones of him about.

I suppose Dr. Owens could possibly be alive then since we never saw him killed.  It seemed like one of the military guys stepped into the room to "finish" him before it cut to another scene.  While it seemed that the military wanted to eliminate anyone associated with 11 and Nina, it might be possible that they want him alive now to find El.

Did we officially see Papa die, or just get shot a bunch of times?  I was surprised to see him back as well, and if we didn't see his corpse on fire then I think there is a fair chance he'll be back for the next season.

Without a Premium membership I've been able to order all the recent exclusives.  I think if you're on the ball when these are released they're actually easier to get than a Target Exclusive preorder.

I can't think of a weapon that would work, unless its some crazy Star Wars Nerf thing.  But then you run the risk of people thinking $250 for a Nerf gun???  I passed on the $120 Mandalorian Amban-phase rifle because it was too expensive and I love Nerf.

I'm sure we've debated it in other threads, but I'm not sure what 6" vehicle/mega set I would be willing to drop $250+ on that was more than just a pile of figures.  The problem with 6" vehicles is that they're just so damn big I'm not sure I would get any just for space reasons.  I've got nearly every 6" figure, but passed on the TIE as it was too big.  I got the $140 snowspeeder, but have struggled to find a place to display it.  I like the speeder bikes, landspeeder etc, but those are smaller $40 items.

Maybe a Max Rebo band and instruments set, but that is mostly a big figure set.

I'm not interested in a 6" X-Wing or A-wing or N-1 Naboo Starfighter, or anything else that I can think of.

This is sad and entertaining at the same time. Hopefully the SW Haslab team gets a reboot.

Yeah, I'm not sure if they've got a mission to broaden the Haslab SW collecting world, or if their primary mission is to make money.

If its to make money they should stay focused on 3.75".  If its to broaden the Haslab world to something other than 3.75" they've managed to get the failure part mastered.

They're 2 for 2 on 3.75" and 0 for 2 on everything else.

I'm good with this so I know what to be looking for in the little paper wrappings.  Still having an Ikea-like insert to show how things are supposed to connect together would sometimes be helpful.

554
At first I thought they were little stands for the lantern, or owl, or Grogu, but none of those had a hole in the bottom.

One gripe with the latest plastic free packaging on the deluxe figures (Boba Fett and Ahsoka) is that you really have to inspect the folded paper packets holding the accessories to make sure you got them all.  There aren't any instructions or other helpful inserts that list what is in the package, and I get a little concerned that there is something super small stuck in one of the corners that I'm missing.
