I'm new to the game but I'll play.  I'm not a big spender, at least in my own mind, but I know that I've committed to buying a lot of $20+ items for this year...

That being said:

January
WM Exclusive Cantina Band Tin:  $20
Ambush on Ilum BP: $20
Betrayal on Felucia BP: $20
Jedi Training on Dagobah BP: $20
Mace Windu MR Force FX Lightsaber: $65 30 (Got a refund)
Star Wars Poster Book: $9

Total:  $154 $124

February
TSC Basic Figures: $58
Star Wars Chronicles - The Prequels: $50
Droids, Droids Rebellion, Boba Fett Death Lies and Treachery, Boba Fett Enemy of the Empire tpbs: $13
Tales of the Jedi - The Collection tpb: $24

Total:  $145

That same Wal-Mart I mentioned in my last post did in fact put these on clearance.  They only had ROTJ and the Cantina sets by the time I made it back there, but they were both $20.  I only got the Cantina set which was a good deal for $4 a figure!

My sons the day after Christmas:

Connor

Lucas

It was only about a day after that that my wife decided the lightsabers were going to be an 'outside' toy.

2045
They re-set the toy aisle at my local Target and shoved SW all the way to the end of the aisle.  There are 4 pegs for basic figures (with Pregme's and Naboo soldiers), a few collector's tins, basic lightsabers, spring action lightsabers and a sprinkling of Titanium vehicles and SW Transformers.  However TRU and Wal-Mart are packed to the gills with Hoth, Endor, GB, and Naboo.

Does someone have a list of the confirmed FX sabers for 2007 (or at least so far)?  I'd really like to pick up a Luke saber sometime, if they re-do/re-release one or both of them.  Just curious.  Thanks :).

This was posted a while back, but so far the Yoda is the only one that has been 'confirmed' off the list.  Looks like there is a Luke scheduled.

Yoda FX saber coming up. Along with a "Joe Jedi" Make Ur Own FX Saber.

To your other questions, I really hope that they reduce the price accordingly for the Yoda as well.  Although I'm sure they are going to charge $120, it seems ridiculous considering it's 75% of the size of a standard FX saber...  I guess we'll find out next week for sure.  And, I don't remember hearing anything about reduced priced blasters.  However I'm with you, I can't afford the other ones and that would be a great way to get a few of them...

BTW, since the Yoda FX saber is smaller, you can try to leverage that with your wife so you can get it for your child!  I'm going to try to do that with my wife so I can get ones for my 2 boys.  Good luck!

LEGO / Re: Lego Clearance at Target

I was at my local Target tonight and they had the Star Destroyer for $67 and Slave 1 for $35 in the clearance aisle.  Jabba's Sail Barge was still full price, but I'm sure that's the next one to go on the block.

In case you guys missed the article on the front page, Yoda Force FX is up for pre-order next week!!! ;D

I'm definitely going to have to pick these up for my kids as it's almost a foot shorter than a traditional FX lightsaber.  No MSRP listed on the page though, so I'm wondering what they will ultimately end up charging for this...

Congratulations Brian.

I ended up finding a case of these in the 'Clearance' section of Wal-Mart this afternoon, but they were still ringing up at full price.  I can only hope that they will be clearancing these out, but something tells me that they just put them in the wrong section by mistake...  Has anyone else seen these starting to go on clearance?

Roron Corobb,

Yes, the double bladed is two individual fx sabers combined in the middle.  Each FX has its own set of electronics that you can control individually.  The three reasons I ended up doing what I did above was because I didn't like the feel of the 'battle damaged' lighsaber, the double bladed is nice but ultimately too big, and I ended up finding one for only $15, so I could afford to rip it apart just for the hilt!

I hope I answered your question, but if not drop me a PM and we can discuss further.
