Saga Collection '06 / Re: Battle of Endor Wave

The Vader looks like the same sculpt as the Emperor's Wrath version, just with a new mechanical piece running through the arm.  My question is, do we really think he comes with the stuff pictured, or is that just some parts of the figure disassembled?  The little mechanical piece next to him looks to be the same one inside his right arm, and I don't know why a Vader would come with a skull besides the one inside his helmet.  So he can do a Scorpion fatality, perhaps?

I'd be surprised if Luke's body is different under that poncho, but either way, this is a kitbash that makes sense and that I've wanted for a while.  The rebel guy looks pretty good and should fit in with the Endor soldiers I already have, while being an improvement over them in the articulation department.

No offense to anyone, but I'm kind of amazed how many people are saying $20 plus shipping for two figures is a good deal.  I say $20 should get me 3 super-articulated figures at the very least, like with the Evolutions sets.  Four or five "regular" figures, like the battle packs, is also good.  But two?

Of course, I also think the VTSC is very overpriced (I don't like paying for packaging) and I've gotten really picky with basic figures now that they're around $7 again.  I hate sounding like a grumpy penny-pincher, but the prices are starting to drive me away from buying as many figures as I did just last year.  Several times recently I've walked around a store holding a figure only to put it back because it just didn't feel worth it.

Sorry for the increasingly off-topic complaining.  At least this exclusive has some newly-sculpted bits... but I'm still not buying it.

Zero here.  I refuse to pay that much for any single figure, even one as good as this.  I'm hoping I'll be able to do what I did with the VOTC and get everything I want through sales and clearances.  Fingers crossed...

I'd be up for a third wave if it included some of that hard-to-find stuff from the very end of the ROTS line. As it is, I can't really bring myself to be interested in most of the stuff in these three waves.

Well seeing as how that picture is of the 3rd wave, we can rule out that possiblity, with the exception of the shock of course.

Yeah, I see that it's the third wave, I was saying because of what I see there, I'm not interested.  Sorry I wasn't clearer.

While we're at it, are Sentinel wave figures sitting around at anyone's stores?  I recently decided to try and get one together, too bad I didn't when they were actually around where I am.  Such is life...

Newbies / Haven't said hi yet...

Just thought I'd post something, since I signed up a while ago but haven't found anything to post about yet.  I'm sure I'll get more talkative once there's some more news or if I actually find some toys out there.

But yeah, hello.  Some of you might have seen me around other forums under the same name.  I've been reading the discussion here for a long time, and decided recently I might as well get in on some of it.

Good to be here, and I look forward to sticking around.
