Star Wars Action Figures / Captain Kagi- well maybe that is!
« on: September 18, 2006, 11:58 PM »
Had an extra soft kama and it isn't good enough to sell to anybody but I thought that I could maybe do something cool with it.  I like to think that this is perhaps what Captain Kagi looks like.  Its nothing incredible special but I was inspired by that irregular kama I had...

Hope you like it.

Hmmm,
interesting for sure.  Not all that bad either for just swappin parts around.  If it were'nt for the back of the helmet it'd actually look sorta correct.  If there's one thing I've learned over the years its that inspiration-and great customs, are often sprouted from these sorts of ideas.  For that reason I give you credit! ;D ;D

A feast for the eyes man!  Tons of stuff that I've never seen before in your thread here.  I love that desert corps tat you did, and the new stormie looks sweet.  You and I have similar tastes when it comes to figure building.  Your armada is damned impressive!  The perfect balance of Imperial design, operation desert eagle and even a little  "Desert FOX" -if you get my meaning. ;)

Star Wars Action Figures / AT-AT Crewman- Rise of the Empire
« on: August 23, 2006, 11:50 PM »
Hello again.  Here's Rise of the Empire figure #13 of 20, AT-AT Crew member- Rise of the Empire.  As a kid I always loved the AT-AT and their pilots.  Hopefully this figure looks like an early version of that character just a few years after the birth of the Empire.  To me AT-AT walkers always looked like they'd been around for a while-archaic almost.  AT-AT crew members not only piloted the craft but operated mechanical systems, and provided perimeter security when the AT-AT was stationary.  By the way this is my personal favorite of the series to date.  Let me know what you think and thanks for lookin'

Good stuff again.  That wookie looks especially sharp.  Kickin' soft goods on that Wookie.  Also the repositioning of the wookie braids looks natural and professionally sculpted.

More innovative and interesting customs dude!  I love your style.  Your devotion to creating background characters is cool.   I believe that its the essence of custom figure making.  I cannot decide which one I like the best.  The Mos Espa spacer (which deserves to be made by hasbro) may be my favorite of your to date.  Not too many if those customs around.

Wow.  I really enjoyed perusing throught your photobucket gallery.  Some outstanding stuff for sure in there.  I especially liked the Twi Lek Jedi on page 3.  Good good stuff .  Can't wait to see some more.

Wow thanks.  I'd be honored.  Thanks everyone for the comments!

This figure was a ton of fun to create.  Lately I've been learning how to do a couple new camo patterns and I've been experimenting with new materials for pack pouches, holsters belts and such.

This style of camo is one that I saw while in K-mart in the hunting section.  Its a variation on a woodland theme- I changed the colors to make it appear more Star Wars-y.  For anyone who may be interested this new Rise of the Empire base figure will be featured in my next ROTE figure.
The base figure is an AT-AT Driver torso (retooled) and a clone pilot groin and leg set.  It was filled and sanded to make a smoothe transition, then belted with the jump suit belt and buckle to hide any seems once and for all.

I sort of like names that sound like "Fringe of the Galaxy"  or possibly something like "Infinite Rogues"  I don't know.  I'm just throwing some ideas out there.

This is my latest Rise of the Emprie figure.  I like to think that Captain Jerjerrod was enslaving gungans in the plains and forests of Naboo with generation 1 stormtroopers under his command.  Hope you like it.  For more pics click on the link below the bottom pic

That is one heck of a JAngo.  Personally I really love the dark blue jump suit.  Who says all of his jumps are faded.  It looks very sharp with his armor.  ALso that new PN chapter looks spectacular!  Lookin forward to it.
