While it wasn't when I was a kid one of the more memorable Christmas gift I got was one of my late grandmothers collectors plate named, Tommy the Clown, in 2002.  My parents decided to pass on her plates to her grandkids.  The only thing that made it less memorable was the fact that I had help them warp them.

Glad that he went to prison for some time, still not sure how much (I have heard different possible parole dates 6 years, 7.5 years and 9 years).  Glad the Goldmans got in the court and saw OJ not getting away with this crime he committed.

It sucks that the scale is so off with these bust.  Hopefully this is only for the Airborne and Marine and not on any of the other bust or else GG will have a lot more angier collectors on their hands.

Judging by the deep discount, er, Thanksgiving, sale and some of the products that are just sitting in stock (b/w Luke maquette for $40 (thanks Nick, I paid $90 >:( ;)) and other maquettes for a whopping $18, I'm going to go out on a limb and say oh-oh.   :-\

Can't believe some of those prices wish I had some extra money to buy some of those bust for $20.  Hopefully GG will reorg. they business to what it was back in the beginning of the company's history with a few bust relasesed a year.

Turns out I got my Airborne ship notice too.  Before I got my response to the request to cancel the order that I submitted several days ago ::)  Yeesh.  I may have a couple of spares of this bust soon.

I wasn't sure if I ordered the Airborne from SWS since I didn't get a shipping notice and going to my order page I didn't see anything listed recently ordered (the last being the Comic Con Shadowtroopers) so I order one at GG.  Monday I got a box from SWS with two Airbornes so I will have spares as will.

I may get some heat for this but one of the biggest problems with the mini bust are the higher editions sizes. With the release of the ROTJ Vader (15000) and ESB Yoda (10000?) Gentle Giant started to screw up.  People saw these two bust and Han sale for $35 or less after they paid retail for them so now most people wait till the bust are out a bit since most of them will go under $40 on ebay.  Gentle Giant should of kept the edition sizes low like the AOTC bust at 2500 a piece, IMO, since these are suppose to be limited edition items.
I know there will be bust that I will most likely not have in my collection; Red AOTC Clone Trooper, Vader, Yoda, Jango Fett; and if I do want them I will have to spend more on them, which I have no problem with since they are collectibles/limited pieces.
Hopefully the company still is around for a while so that we can still get some of the stuff that was shown at Comic Con and other places since it seems its fan favorite stuff that is being release.

Just a note that town was named 'Batman' in the 50's. So DC should counter-sue.

According to Wikipedia (taking a story by The Guardian) the town did sue DC Comics and DC comics settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.  Here the link: Mayor Kalkan Sues DC

Quote
In August 2007, British newspaper The Guardian reported that Kalkan had been awarded damages by DC Comics for using his city's name in their Batman Comic book franchise.[4] However, the 2008 news coverage reporting on the Nolan lawsuit made no mention of this.[1][2][3]

In February 2008 the mayor was sentenced to 10 months in jail for promoting terrorism

If you want to take overseas members, i'm in, if not fully understand.

Don't want to talk for anyone else but I have no problems with overseas members being in the exchange.  I think one of the only real dis qualifers should be no new members of the board should be allowed  to participate in it.  (Just my opinion though, I will leave it up to the staff or whoever wants to run the exchange.)

Anyone interested in this again this year?
