Recently bought those WFC fellas. Very cool models and I've seen some wicked custom repaints of these as well.

I still have my FX-7 from the 80s, fully functional I might add. Not so surprising since he got zero to none action in my scenarios. Did you know vinty FX-7 can literally stick his neck out for his fellow Rebels?

Lobot, oh my... another favourite of mine back then. And the OTC version is equally great. I agree with Jesse, weirdest yet most awesome set of accessories! Oh, and I just love OTC's pants, man. I'll bet their velvet too!

Never cared much for Dengar when I was a kid. Fett and Bossk always were my favs to be calling the shots. Looking at the card photo, I now think that actor tried out for a Blizzard Force trooper, was deemed unworthy, but to give him a part anyway, Dengar was made up, some bad trooper armour casts from ILM/LFL were thrown in along with some toilet paper and he got his...... 20 seconds of fame  ;)

I'm holding onto my Saga '06 drivers. Not a fan of the removable helmet thing at all, and the added articulation I can live without. I love the vintage one as well. I always felt he got stomped on the head by an AT-AT, making his neck disappear  ;D

I believe I'm going to a White Chapel gig in Feb or March. Will have to contact my buddy about that. But attending a big Belgian metalfest (http://www.graspop.be/2010/en/index.html) is certain! I mean, Ozzy, Zombie, ATR and Foreigner! Hell yeah!

I really like the Saga "Battle of Yavin" version. Have six of them. The latest modern figure has a removable helmet, and I'm not a fan of that. Not at all. The thing about those two pilots in ANH is that their helmets sit so low on their shoulders. The Evolutions version's helmet sits too high.

The vintage pilot is not really a favourite of mine, but I do like the off coloured gloves and boots.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Cartoon Watchers?
« on: August 24, 2010, 07:29 AM »
Same here, watched a lot of Hanna Barbera, MASK, TF, GI Joe as a kid. Years later we got Cartoon Network and such. I'm a huge fan of Ren & Stimpy, Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Laboratory, Spongebob, The Tick, Samurai Jack, Courage the Cowardly Dog and the short films of What! A! Cartoon! Brilliant stuff.

Now that I have a 5 y/o daughter and a nearly 2 y/o daughter, I watch quite a bit of Dora, Diego, Backyardigans (they're cool), Rocket Power and such.

But nothing beats Tom & Jerry and the Looney Tunes! Nothing.

A little while ago I rented Zombieland on BR and Ninja Assassin on DVD. I first watched Ninja Assassin on my HD TV and then Zombieland. Mindblowing difference between the two. Blu-Ray's the way for me. I recently bought BBC's Life series on BR (will buy Earth as well) and that is some pretty amazing stuff. Beautiful scenes, especially the ultra slow motion shots.

Along with the ERG, the Imperial Stormtrooper (in Hoth Battle Gear) is my favourite of the Kenner line. I have 11 of both now and always on the lookout for more.

I have about 15 modern Snowtroopers, which are just awesome. Safe for the stance, it's one helluva figure. Now we only need a Snowtrooper Commander!

The new Leia looks sensational. At another site someone cleaned her up with Goof Off, which makes it even better.

Up next in June: The Haunted, Lamb of God and Ignite  >:D

Hold on, is this Ignite, as in the old Revelation Records hardcore band Ignite?

They've been at the top of my list of bands I wish I could see but never have for years.... they never seem to play shows outside of California or Europe...

Yes, it's that Ignite! Great show, but Lamb of God was even better. The Haunted was a bit disappointing, though.
