I didn't even know Sy was underscaled as a figure. Not only that attention to detail makes yours outstanding, but the paintwork and skirt/feather are incredible! Truly very impressive...

S_H, thanks for the info on painting furry characters  8). I'll put it to good use and am well on my way with sculpting extra fur on my Wookiee warrior's head.

Sharp paint work on Formbi, S_H. I'm not familiar with the character, but will look him up at Wookieepedia. The sash looks like a belt of some kind, but I can't quite tell whose belt it is. And to throw in a boring little nitpick: his shoulders stick out a bit  :)

The Kashyyyk troopers look cool. Great paint work on those men, and nice little gadgets too.

I don't know how I've missed these stellar pieces of art! Apologies, sir, because I am in utter and absolute awe of your skills. Your usage of different materials like epoxy putty, vinyl and soft goods works downright excellent! Your fanfic customs are even more breathtaking, the Mandalorian warrior being my favourite.

Wow, what a pleasure to see your updates S_H!

Quite daring of you making that Ssi-Ruuk soldier. Those are from the Truce at Bakura, right? I'm not familiar with their species, but he/she looks great. Did you paint the entire Ssi-Ruuk, or just parts? It's hard to tell!

Unkown Ewok looks cool in my book! Once again, a great "furry" figure by you. Great addons to his hood and spear.

Mara looks hot in that pilot's suit. Hm, she looks hot in any suit, but that aside, she's also a beatiful addition to your immense collection of customs.

The 2nd Omega Clone is most welcome, I think, right? And glad to see Kal's already looking out after them. Nice portrayal of that old gun-for-hire. The head fits Kal's appearance well, I think, but it seems a tad too big for the body :) The colour scheme is very cool and the emblem on his left shoulder looks very sharp. Great job!

If you don't mind asking me, could you tell me how you go about painting furry characters, like Ewoks and Wookiees? I glanced at your excellent Wookiee warriors again, and would like the same effect on a Wookiee I'm working on.

I just ordered a case from NFC (after it's been available for months now.) Although this wave shouldn't be too hard to find at retail, it still's the best price around per figure. $6.66 per figure shipped to your door.

Too bad i was too late for wave 2. :(

What's NFC?

All this work with Fixit sculpt has got me convinced. I've ordered some from sculptingstudio.com. I've been practising with Sculpey and Greenstuff and want to see how I'll do with Fixit sculpt.

308
No such thing as luck  :). You did the right thing. When making spikes or other thin accessories, it's best to sculpt on something er... spikey. Little pieces of plastic work fine, but pieces of a paperclip will do well, too.

Excellent tutorial, Ruprecht! The text, pictures and in-picture text are crystal clear. I'm starting to believe Fixit sculpt is the best invention since sliced bread!

Well, I like what you've done with Wulf's outfit a lot. Is there some softgoods stuff involved? I'm a sucker for that, ya know. The paint scheme looks quite good as well.

I'm not too sure about Cade's golden chest, but then again, I haven't had the pleasure of seeing a lot of pics of him to compare  ;D. Those Gung Ho arms rock, though! And like Ruprecht said: great action shots of those two.

I've only used Citadel so far for my customs. Very happy with that brand. I'm thinking of trying Tamiya at some point too. Had some great experience in my model kit days...

As for Cade's eyes: there's a bit too much white, me thinks. But I know how hard painting facial details can be. There's a pretty good tutotial at Ffurg.com, check it out sometime. I've seen other tutorials as well, I think it was at the Reaper forums. I'll try to find it, ok?

Ok, I really have to get some of that Fixit sculpt. I've seen nothing but great work with that, and this ARC is just such an example! Great boot straps and pouches on his armor. And what's that extra on his pauldron? Some sort of target tracking device?

The bright blue looks great on him. Nice detail on those Jaig eyes and on the '91' on his pauldron and helmet! I only have mixed feelings about the blue on the pauldron. A bit too much, imho  :)

Haven't got the Open Seasons comics either, but it's available at TFAW.com. Just do a search for Jango Fett and you'll find the TPB.

Anyway, Maxxsium, you made a very good Jango Fett. I really like how you made a different figure with all those little details. I don't see anything wrong with the shin armor, but since you say it's too thick, looking at it from the front doesn't show that  :). Only his left shoulder plate seems a bit off.

Paintwise I have no gripes at all, except for my idiotic compulsive approach to visors: put a bit of clear gloss on it  ;). That's just me though. The weathering and painting of the tubes, flame/dart thrower thing and the rifle are top notch!

Milan, I always buy my figs off eBay and have found some trusted sellers from Macau in the Far East. They all have a standard shipping rate (worldwide) of $5 for the 1st figure and $1 for each more. Which makes me think it's actually one person selling under different user names. The idea is to order many figs in one time, so you can even out the shipping costs a bit. Still, most of the time, I get my figs cheaper than buying them here in Holland. If there are any at all  :-\

Do a search for usernames sicdunbine and tunghori and check them out.

Milan, you didn't let me down with Nihl's recipe. Again, amazing how you combine so many different parts. So far, I've only used VvV GI Joe parts with SW parts at best.

I'm not familiar with Schjerning paints, but I'm very pleased with Games Workshop's Citadel brand of paints. They're not the cheapest paints around, but it's easy to apply (not too thick), dry quickly and come in a pretty huge range of shades. I'm thinking of trying Tamiya as well sometime. I used to do wonders   ;) back in the day when I was building model kits. I've heard that Reaper paints are also very good.

Milan, I really like what you've done with so many different non-SW parts. I still have to read the Legacy comics, but I think your interpretations of these main characters are pretty good.

The head of Shaak Ti for Talon is unexpected for me, and I like that a lot. The body tattoo looks very nice as well. I know how hard it is to get those fine lines on a mere 4" of plastic  :)

Darth Krayt looks menacing! Good work on the sculpted parts and on blending the body parts together. You might want to make the spikes on his helmet/head thing a bit bigger.

I'm anxious to see your recipe of Nihl. The other two figures already show you know how to mix different parts very well. Nihl is Nagai, and I remember those fellas from the last issues of the old Marvel comics (I'm old....) They're pretty scary looking people, and so is your Darth Nihl. As for painting him, perhaps you could try masking some parts, so that the lines become a bit more smooth. His lightsaber cane is very good, by the way.

Newbie? I don't think so, Milan! Welcome aboard  ;D
