Kubricks / Re: Your Favorite Kub?

I have a soft spot for my Stormtrooper Kub. It may not be as detailed as some of the others, but it's simple, yet classy...besides I love Stormtroopers  ;D

What if Medicom decides to make one with a black or white pauldron... ::)

Saw the Yoda FX today. Looked pretty good and is brighter than the Episode 6 Luke Saber. I'm on the hunt for another FX saber besides the only one I got (Vader Episode 5). I'm looking for a decent blue saber to show off. Which one would I be better off getting to display with the Vader FX....the Anakin or Obi Episode 3 sabers...or should I wait for the Luke Episode 4 one to come out??

I sold just about everything I wanted to.
Only have the Imperial Officer and a Carded Luke, so get em while you can!
I need to raise funds for a MC of Series 8...if they ever announce it and my new Crack: RAH (CRAHK)

Lobot! Lobot!  Lobot!

Rock on
CB

I went through the same thing with my Kubricks. Instead of RAH figs (which look really cool...you like the Jango coming out soon?), I started putting the money I was spending on boxes of Kubricks to focus on statues (in particular Sideshow's Premium Format line). Since I stopped, the only SW Premium Format fig that's missing from my collection is the Luke. My friends are in complete awe any time they step foot in my movie room. Unfortunately, the Kubricks never had that appeal to them and they never understood the whole chase thing. They just thought they were *gasp* overpriced Lego's. Star Wars Kubs will always hold a special place, unfortunately they are packed away in a shoebox in my closet until I get the urge to get back into the line (which is more doubtful than ever)...

My Yakface arrived which is good, but it makes me a little nervous.  The arms are pretty loose on this guy.  Is that the case on anyone else's?

Same thing happened with my Imperial Officer (Veers) from Series 6. These things happen from time to time. I've had loose arms on my Bespin Luke and Hoth Han as well....

I'm not much of a prequel fan...but my favorite character in the PT was definately Darth Maul (with Obi as a close second). I might have to break my trend of OT Premium Format figs to get the Maul when he becomes available...

I always looked forward to your Bricks N' Beer posts. They were always fun to see posted and you looked like you were having fun doing it. I wish you luck with the new collections!

I went through the same thing after purchasing my final set of SW Kubricks from Series 6. It was just too much to play catch up because I started collecting far too late (when Series 5 hit). I figured putting my money into something I still loved which was Star Wars higher end pieces from Sideshow. I bought much of the Premium Format line and think they look fantastic on display for my movie room. As far as the Kubricks, I thought about picking up a few...but Medicoms RAH line looks unreal (have you seen the pics of Vader, Stormtrooper, and Fett!!) and their are more PF's on the way. I look back that the Kubricks will always have a special place, but I can't fathom spending that kind of money again for a 2" toy...I just keep thinking about that any time I have an itch to get back into collecting SW Kubs...Save myself alot of money that way!!  :)

If it's a PT figure in PF form, then it's more money in my wallet...i only have so much room to put these 1/4 scale figs...

If they made a Stormtrooper PF, I'd imagine that some collectors would buy more than one depending on the sculpt...

I'm hoping for a Stormie too...I'd just need Chewie, R2, 3PO as well to complete what I'm really looking for out of the PF line. Hopefully, we get word of future release down the line...

I noticed the prices on the episode V darth vader FX sabers were changed at Spencers from $59 to $79. i'm still on the lookout for obi-wans or anakins blue sabers around the area. but the only place that carries them charges over $100 a piece. I'm just going to play the waiting game like I did with the Vader Saber which I picked up for the $59 price...

Well, I'm up to 3 pieces with Vader on his way. I'm going to be moving into a new place shortly so I'm starting to think about display cases. While looking at kitchen cabinets for the new place, I saw some unpainted floor models (untreated floor cabinet, no top). Thought about making a purchase on one of those (for $70), purchasing and cutting a plywood top, polyurethaning the piece a walnut or cherry wood color, & buying a glass case from CFC.com...

Just an idea, maybe something original....I like the IKEA detolfs but they really don't fully do the PF's justice. I think they are 100x better for 1/6 figures. Anyways, here's a quick shot of where my PF's are now. I have them on display on a console table in the spare room....enjoy!!
