The Vintage Collection / Re: SDCC 2011

judging by cardbacks look like the Nom wave has merged with the Ponda wave. My hunch is the wave after this will have Kithaba, Evazon
,As well as -R2 A5,Maul and Jar Jar.  But we will find out soon enough.

I wonder what the reason for bumping this wave forward is -could be production of course -but could also be because they are going to be offering Walrus man on his true vintage card as a con exclusive.

Also two new figures in the wave highly unlikely! -i expect con reveals of Maul and Binks to bulk out this wave, along with Bastilla.

One more thing- i remember a podcast with De Priest were he refered to Ponda and Evazan and said something like "Y'know those two should really be together in the same wave"  -given that we had changes and delays to wave 9 i'm thinking Ponda's partener in crime could be joining him at the bar sooner than expected.

Also i knowi don't post very much but i live in england... we don't see many vintage figures. :)

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Questions for Hasbro?

Dear Hasbro

I wonder if you would consider re-releasing the hard to find R5K6 on a vintage card -repainted with white body and red panels as he appears in the rebel trench run briefing.

Keep up these outstanding sculpts in the vintage collection!

Really great wave -i even like the clones! -probably be about July till these show up in Blighty though!

Great discussion guys. I do hope hasbro are aware of all these differences as i favour movie accurate.
They did stress in a Qand A that in such cases they intend to update the character ahead of a vintage tribute.
Maybe we should compile all these differences in a question -just to be safe.

I have to say -without wishing to offend anyone who works on that site - i find it rich that they sound the alarm bell about soon to be gone jedi wave, then just  a few posts down theres an indulgent (parr for the course in this hobby i supose.) article about how they can't stop army building pig guards!

Things look bleak for us in the UK the wave is Pre-Pre sold out without any of it hitting retail. There is an exclusive deal with T R us over here ...but wether Hasbro USA has alloted stock for that -Feck Knows!

The input drawings show insert moulded ankles and knees ....relax. :)

These look great -Bom even better than i imagined!

That skiffmaster will look great once his arms are posed neutrally.

Hmmm. I wonder what cantina figures will be in the 2012 lineup.

My hunch is Modal Node,Bannis Keeg and Arliel schous -and if we get four -New Takeel.

A Very Tedious Selection.

Yeah a funky alien would have been cool-but what is really left?

EDIT-just thought Gator Head,Toonbuck or Seboca would do nicely.

I think it's just the typical over ordering of the first wave coupled with one too many sith revisions -once were over the hill and those Gam Guards are sighted...

I dunno  -what do you all think about the Clones wave-do you think it's gonna sit?

The sith wave is lacklustre -and yet to hit the uk.

If all markets get to The Superb Jedi wave by early Nov -if think we'll be ok. I can't see a problem with the mixed waves -something for everyone!

Oh i think the concepts will return eventually, but i recall them saying not next year as they have something else planned -Realistic TCW?

yeah there doesn't seem to be many backgrounders in TVC -more in 2011 i think. I don't think they will ever include as many again as in TLC though.
