That Owen needs to be given a Vintage Home!

The packaging for this set is very nice -the concept ? To each their own.

So what do people think of our first glimpse at a vintage style Commander Cody card?

I think the card on this figure looks very very cool -there are some apparent  improvements to the figure aswell- Belt being one.

I may buy this now ,but i'm still not sure about the figure. I missed even seeing this at retail last year and deco and sculpt still seem a little off. Deco appears too defined and cartoony.
So i would value fellow defenders opinions on the quality of this one.

Presumably the Mixed Vintage Collection?

Could be a load of CW to debut though.

Even if we just see loose and Carded Sith and Jedi waves it will probably be worth it.

One things for sure it'll be some time before we see any ANH offerings -like Cantina Patrons -but if they do preview '11 Bespin Han and Skiffmaster would be nice.

Not long to wait now.

EDIT - thankyou for all the replies -Glad to hear in theory that some of you would welcome a design change -every now and then.

In one of their post Toy Fair Q&A replies Hasbro said how if they carry a character forward over several waves( eg- Vader) they will change up the movie logo to add collector intrest.

Is that enough? Would collectors rather have a repro STAR WARS card of that shadowy death star duel shot... Or say-a new shot of Vader striding through the still smoking Blokade Runner with the classic silver logo and border.  More exciting?

Another example would be the Tie -fighter pilot. Would collectors be happy with an Empire designation and ship shot-or would we all prefer an inaccurate but awesome star wars designation and" pilot inside the cockpit with all that fierce red light" shot?

I was thinking of putting this forward as a question to Hasbro -but was interested to find out what other people think.

Picked up four of this wave -Luke, Dengar,Boba and Hoth Leia. They are all sublime-standouts are Dengar and Luke. Paint apps have had more cash than usual chucked at them, more of this please.

The cards are great and seeing them all stacked there was thrillingly sureal.
