Other Collectibles / Uncle Milton 2010 Product Review
« on: April 7, 2010, 02:20 AM »
While it's not the line we cover often here at Jedi Defender, we were given several of the new 2010 sets from Uncle Milton to review and also to give away to our readers.  There is a lot of cool features to these sets that tie Earth Science to the Star Wars Myth, and so without further ado...

I have to say, I'm impressed with the direction Uncle Milton takes toys for the Star Wars crowd.  This Clone Recon Kit and Mini-Lightsaber Tech Lab are pretty slick little toys.  They appeal largely to the younger audience, but I see some fun there for the adults too in some of their items.  That mini-saber on your desk is kind of fun to play with during downtime at the office, ya know?

I want to thank Uncle Milton for offering these items, and for offering some for our readers too!

Thanks for reading, and check these out next time you're at the store looking for action figures.  You may be in for an extra purchase!

Have you ever bought any of the Uncle Milton Products past or present?

If so, please feel free to share your thoughts on them.  That mind-activated-levitation thing is freaky cool to me.

As the front page story says, a couple tried stealing toys to sell on Ebay, then gloat about it on Dr. Phil, and then lastly they went to the hooscow.  It's a funny story...  I guess they somehow pilferred a BMF which is no small task by my estimation.  They went on Dr. Phil for their "addiction" to stealing **** (uh, yeah), and acted more like they gloated.

And the cherry on top?  The uber-quack Dr. Phil got slammed by the judge for being such a sham as to have these asshats on!  :)  That's funny.

This was a feel-good-story all around I thought.

Jocasta's Reading Room / Star Wars Visions - Clash on Kothlis
« on: March 10, 2010, 11:15 PM »
The artwork for the "Clash on Kothlis" book planned for Fall 2010 has me intrigued.  I'm not often piqued by upcoming EU, but this image reminded me of one of my favorite combat sequences in a video game, the assault on the downed Destroyer on Kothlis.

The Destroyer, as pictured in the image, is half submerged in the ocean, and it was a great mission...  As part of Rogue Squadron you were sent to cover a commando team being led by Crix Madine to recover the DS2 plans.  The first part of the mission downed the Destroyer, the second part was covering the troops and blasting a hole in the hull for them on the exposed surface.

All the while the surviving officers of the Destroyer had regrouped and gotten what systems they could operational, including the starboard ion cannons and various gun emplacements on the exposed parts.  The Empire also releases walkers through the belly and into the water (proving they can "seal" themselves and walk submerged.  AT-AT's begin appearing on the beach along with AT-PT escorts.  The infantry began setting up E-Web's on the destroyer's hull and on the beach to fend off the REbel Commando attack.

Really, overall, it's a fantastic mission and visually just too cool.  Watching the walkers appraoch the beach but submerged (you can see them pretty clearly though) is just too cool.  Seeing it depicted in artwork and I guess as part of a story of some sort due out in Fall is even cooler.  They've got me hooked on this already.

The game's part of the Rogue Squadron games on the Gamecube, for the curious.  It's a tough level, but not too tough that you can't enjoy the scenery.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / CW Hyena Bomber
« on: March 2, 2010, 04:19 PM »
It appears the big Droid Bomber's getting a figure/ship (whatever you want to call it) in the near future as well.  We got some nice images from our friends today!

Clicky to check it out!

It appears to have all the bells and whistles that the Droid Fighter update we got has like the transformation to walking mode, firing missles, movable head, etc.  Looks pretty slick and I plan to add 2 to my Separatist fleet. :)

As always that's not a final product picture and nothing's official till Hasbro says so!

Toy Reviews / New JD Review: ESB Wave 2.0 Bespin Guard
« on: February 20, 2010, 03:23 AM »
The Empire Strikes Back 2.0 wave of Legacy figures delivered a lot of resculpting people have wanted for a while now, and today's review is just that.  The Bespin Guard from this wave is a modern update of a figure that hasn't seen a new tool since the Power of the Jedi line, and that figure wasn't entirely screen-accurate either, so this is a long-time coming to many collectors.

Still, Hasbro has sellability with head variants on this figure, as many die-hards will note the two vintage Bespin Guards have still yet to be done with any accuracy.  This figure gives Hasbro a fantastic base to work with, but will they?  That remains to be seen as the only expected variant so far is an alien variation from a cut sequence of film (cool though).

Some may argue for yet another new sculpt of this figure...  I doubt it happens, but the argument has some firm footing I think.  Read on for what works on the new Bespin Guard, and what fails.  There's an interesting mix of both with this one.

PROS

-Sculpt:  Hands down the figure's sculpt is really detailed from head to toe.  There's a very nice texturing sculpted into the pants and jacket of the figure, and different parts of the uniform are raised or recessed giving it a lot of depth, such as the gold piping on the jacket, the cuffs of the sleeves, or the outside seam of each pantleg.  Also a lot of "bulk" is sculpted in with the jacket bunching at the elbows, or the pants bunching at the boot top where they're tucked in.  They even sculpted the pin for the left shoulder's ball/socket joint so that it lines perfectly with the folds sculpted to the arm.  Talk about detailing!

Likewise, the character gets a nice generic headsculpt that still manages to have a little bit of character with a somewhat unique hairline.  The face is plain but stern looking, and that's the way I like to see my figures.  Not too animated, but not a mannequin either.

With all the detailing sculpted in, all you need is the paintjob to match it to bring out the highlights, and you're set.  Hasbro knocked this one out of the park pretty well except one issue...  the height.  That's for later.

-Accessories:  What constitutes good/bad accessorizing of a figure is sometimes subject to a number of things like price, comparison to other figure's in the line, and even the size of the character in question.  This figure, as an army builder, stands to gain points if he comes with just the pieces that make him truly "complete" to me, and so for that I have to give Hasbro a lot of credit.

The figure comes with:

-Baton & sheath (functional)
-Pistol & holster (functional)
-removable hat

Little more could really be clumped into a figure like the Bespin Guard that really applies to the character, save for a set of binders like the POTJ figure came with.  So with that said, I think this really is a well-rounded figure, esepcially because both the holster and sheath for the weapons are removable, and both function quite well.

Also all the gear has a sharp and detailed sculpt.  The hat is actually designed to fit the head quite snugly.  It's even a little difficult to fit it on the head properly, but I'll give a pass to that issue.  I thought it was nice the weapons got a nice paintjob too, a much needed improvement over the goofy blue color of the POTJ gear.

-Articulation:  These days Hasbro rarely lets you down on this issue, so it's uncommon to have a gripe here.  The Bespin Guard is near super-articulated, and really that's pretty fantastic since they're not always considered the most exciting characters.

The Bespin Guard features articulation at:

-2 ball/socket shoulders
-2 ball/socket elbows
-2 standard wrists
-2 standard hips
-2 ball/socket knees
-2 ball/socket ankles
-1 ball/socket neck
-1 standard waist

For a total of 14 points of articulation.  That's a good total for any army builder really, but on a character like the Bespin Guard I think it's pretty exceptional.  That makes him able to pose so he's smackin' Han on the head, or having coffee, or roughing up the Ice Cream Maker Guy for jaywalking, or whatever it is Bespin Guards do to "keep the peace".

Mine basically is standing there, but hey, they'll get posed around a bit too at some point, so I like all the poseability on this guy. :)

-Decoration/Paint Aps:  The paint applications on this figure are relatively sparse compared to many, but the little details are pretty cool.  For instance the barely visible white shirt collar peeking out of the neck is really a nice little detail Hasbro acknowledged.  Also the gold piping on the jacket is kind of ornate for being a tiny thin line of gold that goes from a straight line around the jacket and ends with an elaborate squiggly design at the bottom.

For the record my samples aren't the best with the gold lines, but again I'm giving some leeway.  It's so thin, perfection's virtually impossible here I think.

The red at the cuffs, the shine of the black boots, the hair line...  Pretty much everything is perfect.  My figure's eyes are a little wonky but I feel that's more the fault of the almost "squinty" look to the sculpt of the eyes giving less surface detail to work with, than the paintjob being bad.  I'm really pleased with the deco here.

CONS

-Availability:  While this wave's been semi-new, with the way Legacy has gone, this wave's difficult to find for many.  It first surfaced in December 2009, and here we are February 2010 and this wave's still impossible for most to find.  I've lucked into 3 Bespin Guards in my collection, one bought for me by a friend out-of-state, so I really can only say I've seen it twice in 3 months... I'd call that scarce, wouldn't you?

He's a good figure but if you want to really go nuts army building him you may have your hands full.

-Diversity:  I'm a big fan of human army builders not in faceless armored helmets and things having a little diversity to them.  We're getting a human and an alien, and that's diverse, but I prefer diversity among my humans a little spread out.  An Asian headsculpt, a caucasian headsculpt...  These would have been nice.  They could knock out the vintage Asian headsculpt and I'd be happy.  I'd gladly buy this figure with the vintage African headsculpt as well.  Diversity is good for the humans.

To me this issue applies to the Hoth Rebel, Fleet Troopers and other similar figures.  Even if it's not seen in the movie, it'd be appreciated by me personally.

-Height:  This issue's open to some debate because Hasbro's scaling of figures is so all over the place, it's just something you really suck up and deal with anymore.  Compared to some "average height" characters, the Bespin Guard is quite a lumbering giant.  He's almost a head taller than the Scanner Technician from just a wave or two ago.  Go figure.  Compared to a Stormtrooper I had around he's not horrible.

This may be an issue to some, to others it's not a huge deal.  For me I'm getting past a lot of the scale issues this line has though.  I'm happy when a really big character's scaled right, and when an Ewok or something is tiny.  I'd like to see some more effort in the humans too, but flaws happen in the design process so I get it.

-Price:  Star Wars ain't cheap folks...  $6.99 is a pipedream at this point, and $7.50 is actually "cheap".  That's a sad statement considering what you're ultimately getting.  Blame the economy, blame the industry, blame Hasbro, blame retail, or blame Lucasfilm...  Either way you've got a lot of money to spend on one little old piece of plastic.

You knock the price down some, and suddenly gripes like the accessories are much more minor than they are otherwise.  The Build-A-Droid promotion is nice, but coming to a close, so where does that perceived value go then, when it's over?

Basically $7.99 is a lot of money for an action figure of this scale, any way you slice it.  Prices have gone up, and income hasn't gone to match it for many people, so these are just rough times we have to deal with as collectors.  As such though, the price is always going to be a negative unless the figure's really something special or comes with something really outstanding as an accessory.  For some, these hikes have cut into their hobby and how much they've been able or willing to spend on it, and that includes myself.

OVERALL

So how do you wrap it up?  This is just another great figure for Hasbro.

It's funny how 2008-2009 has been a great period for Hasbro and success with Star Wars, but that the collector-focused figures have suffered.  There's a lot of reasons for this from distribution issues and price increases to the global economy and toy industry troubles.  Hasbro put out some great figures in the Legacy line, and yet a lot of hype doesn't swirl around some it seems.

This Bespin Guard is one of those figures.  He's going to be one of the ones you look at down the line and think, "Yeah I remember him, he's pretty great", but which you probably forget somewhere along the way too...  This era for the modern line and for the core collecting base is a time of turmoil.  I know lots of guys quitting or cutting back, and it's a shame because they're missing out on really definitive figures from the beloved OT like this one.

I'm hoping for more head variants than an alien guard, which is cool, but I'm really sticking on the diversity issue here.  If I had one really legit gripe I think it was that one.  Bespin Guards were diverse in the movie, and so I'd like to see a white guy, asian guy, both vintage heads done...  This is a figure ideal for a battlepack I think, and a re-release with a new head down the road with another ESB wave.

In general I obviously like this one... to the point I'm readily admitting I'll buy him 3, 4, or 5 more times anyway.  So Hasbro, get crackin' on those I guess.  I'm waiting to buy more stuff.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / RC Hailfire Droid
« on: February 18, 2010, 01:43 AM »

Here's another thing I'm surprised there isn't more buzz about it...  Check it out in our Toy Fair Hasbro Gallery

The RC Hailfire Droid being shown at Toy Fair this year was outstanding.  It's not accurately scaled but it's quite sizeable.  I'm looking at it (since it has a smaller missle magazine as well) as a smaller model of the same vehicle.  The wheels are much larger for durability reasons I'm assuming, and the missle pods are for 9 in each pod (fire in 3's).

They're really going all out with this.  It makes me wish they'd tried to make the Turbo-Tank RC in some capacity, but I'm sure it would've impacted its cost significantly.  I'd love to see a Speeder or something though.

RC's a toy niche that's come down in price significantly.  Growing up I recall similar vehicles were quite expensive from companies like Nikko and Tyco.  They were simply toys though, nowhere near the level of sophistication in the RC Hobby.  This new Hailfire's not too different from the toys though, and will cost much less it seems.

This is one I'm actually anxious to add to my collection, and I'm glad to see the answer to the RC question we asked last year.

I love Star Wars puzzles, and I figured I'd just share the images from Toy Fair 2010 with everyone incase it's maybe something they didn't check out yet.

I'm a huge puzzle guy, and like to frame them, and in general they're good things for the winter to spend some time on and focus on...  Enjoy the images as there's some cool ones coming out, and some cool ones already on shelves.  Enjoy.

Cardinal Star Wars Puzzles

In particular I love the 3 Puzzles you build then put together to form a larger image...  Gorgeous.  Difficult to frame, but gorgeous. :)

Toy Reviews / New JD Review: ESB Wave 2.0 Luke Snowspeeder
« on: January 23, 2010, 03:28 AM »
What better way to get into the swing of reviewing figures again, than for me to review something simply superb in almost every way...  and I stress "almost" because nothing's perfect as I love to point out. :)

Love me or hate me, and I know which category's in the lead, I do like to pick figures, vehicles, and basically any other toy apart...  Today, Luke Snowspeeder gets the hammer dropped upon his nicely sculpted noggin, and really that's not a bad thing for him.  Hasbro has the ability to improve, but they do come close to perfection with this one!

Please feel free to read on, enjoy, and stop and chat with your own thoughts if you'd like...  For now though, on with the review...

PROS

-Sculpt:  Right off the bat, this figure's sculpt is absolutely sharp, detailed, and pretty perfectly executed for this exact look Luke sported on Hoth...  It doesn't double for a Dagobah Luke, but it works well for what it is, and that is Luke as he flew around the tundra's of Hoth, blowing up ****, and crashing.

The pockets of the uniform are sculpted with sharp flaps that, upon first glance, almost look like they're functional, even on such a tiny little figure made of solid plastic.  The boots have that bulky padded Hoth Boot look to them, with the straps tying the thick fabric tightly so that it bunches and billows out around the ties.  There's even extra bulk sculpted to Luke's heavier outer jacket for the cold weather that all the Hoth Pilots are seen wearing.  The jacket's arms are sculpted to look like they're bunched up over the flight suit, at the arms, and even where the cold weather gloves come up over them.  It's a very nice attention to detail.

One little thing I particularly enjoyed was the rank/ID badge on Luke's left chest, under his ribbed chest padding, which the sculptor just happened to catch.  It's a small detail unique to Luke in this outfit at this moment, and it's cool to see it captured.

And like the fine details of the uniform, the fine detail of Mark Hammil's likeness is also captured by the sculptor.  You can see the hint of scarring that Hammil had at the time of filming from his car accident (covered up in the film by the Wampa sequence), as that sort of aged Hammil.  It's surprising how it comes out in this figure's sculpt, especially when all you can really see is the face since the rest is covered by Luke's little hoth cap to keep his noggin warm.  Which speaking of that cap, they even got Luke's tuft of hair sticking out underneath it in the front, which I thought was a nice touch.  Short of giving us a 2nd head (as Luke is seen both with, and without the cap on, in this uniform), this sculpt is really quite nice and fits well with Luke's Snowspeeder sequence.

It's tough to knock details like these, and all it needs now is a good deco to bring them all out!

-Decoration:  There is one minor gripe I'd throw at the deco, but overall I felt the paint application to this figure looked as though it had a lot of time and effort put into it.  Lately, Hasbro figures have suffered in the paint application department...  So it's nice to see a figure, especially one of a main hero like this, being done so well.

Starting with the boots, Luke's are a grey-ish color, but there's tan outlines around the top of the boot's wrappings, along with the straps holding them together.  I thought the tan outlines were a nice touch that I otherwise felt the company would've skimped on to save money.  The flares attached to the lower left leg got a nice dose of black for the strap they are on, and then dabs of silver at the ends of each.  It's not perfect, and some silver strays or seems hardly applied, but it looks good enough for me, and helps the detail stand out.

Luke's belt sports a nice deep brown deco with little straying into the orange of the jacket on my sample.  Also each button on each pocket has a nice silver dot for its button, as well as the buckle, Luke's saber clip, and the clip that I THINK the grapple gun is to have clipped onto in real life.  Regardless though, that's some seriously little tiny silver detailing going on, and I like it!

Luke's chest box sports the seemingly accurate deco of blue, white, silver, black and grey markings all over it, and with no straying at all on my sample.  And I also noticed some silver details on the chest pad/bib Luke's wearing as well.

The headsculpt's excellent likeness and detailing is brought out even further by a great paintjob as well.  Luke's eyebrows and hair got a nice dirty blonde dab of paint, and with no straying onto the face.  His skin tone appears painted as well, and rather than cast flesh it looks more realistic to me I think.  Also I think the eyes on mine are flawless.  White eyeballs with a blue iris and perfectly placed black pupils.  The execution of the 3-layer-eye is done very well on my sample.  Hat's off to Hasbro on that.

If I had one deco gripe, it's with Luke's helmet...  But that's for later.

-Articulation:  A staple of mine is critiquing a figure's articulation.  My standards are absurdly high since I think the Saga Death Star Gunner is pretty perfectly executed in this department.  Not every figure requires super articulation, but I do think that Gunner's "style" is the bare minimum for most figures (Senator-ish figures aside, of course).  That said, Luke's a home-run in the articulation department, as Hasbro has been quite excellent about since around 2006/2007 at least.

Luke sports all the articulation of a typical SA figure, even the waist, and I think each joint's hidden incredibly well.  How can anyone complain then?

Luke has:

-2 ball/socket shoulders
-2 ball/socket elbows
-2 cut wrists
-2 cut hips
-2 ball/socket knees
-2 ball/socket ankles
-1 ball/socket neck
-1 ball/socket waist/torso

For a total of 14 points of articulation, and almost all are ball/socket joints.  That's pretty much SA, though their ball/socket hips are pretty slick additions on some figures too.  I consider this more than perfect though for the Snowspeeder Luke!

I've had my figure in a number of cool poses, but my favorite is re-enacting him running, looking up at the belly of the AT-AT, and trying to aim his grapple gun at the same time.  A very dynamic and cool pose I think.  Luke's hands are sculpted pretty perfectly for this, however the way they are does create some trickier attempts at other poses, so keep that in mind too.

CONS

-Accessories:  Now some of you are probably not with me on this, but I have a double-gripe with the accessories, so stick with me on this because you may actually find you agree after I explain myself.

First, figures aren't cheap these days, and accessories aren't all expensive for the production process...  Sure, some things aren't going to be plausible...  You can't always get a giant table or a section of a room or something, but Hoth Luke wasn't exactly needing that either.  What he did need though, he didn't always get.

For instance, LUke's lightsaber...  I'm not saber expert, but I believe he's not wielding the correct one, once again.  Also, no blade for it...  Why not?  He ignights it in this outfit to gut the AT-AT and chuck in the bomb, so why no blade?  So yeah, for $7.99-ish, give or take, I'm a little disappointed with the missing blade since it makes the Luke figure more dynamic and action-ish.

It's also sort of ironic we got a saber hilt and nowhere it can attach to also...  More a gripe of the sculpt than the accessories, but that point remains too I think.

The grapple gun is pretty cool, it's new, and it clips to Luke's oxygen hose thing, however I think it's supposed to clip to a hook on the belt.  There's one sculpted there that is for Luke's lightsaber, but there's also another and I'm pretty sure in the film that's where the grapple gun is meant to go.  It'd have been double neat had Hasbro sculpted the grapple gun to then clip to the belt as it should.

Luke's helmet is, I believe, a new sculpt as well to fit the hooded headsculpt properly, and it's nice.  The deco on it, at least the detailing, is quite nice also with the various markings true to Luke's helmet style...  but for some odd reason Hasbro never sees fit to dirty that brain bucket up, and once again Luke's got a crisp brand new looking helmet to go fly around in, but in the movie's his is one of the most worn and beat up looking helmets of any of the pilots.  It'd be cool to see Hasbro get that right with future Pilot Luke figures.

No Blaster?  I'm a stickler for blasters...  Every menial, boring, lame character should come with one I think.  Nothing new, just something on-hand would be nice.  Even Mon Mothma needs to pack some heat, and so for Luke to come with only an unlit lightsaber, and no trusty blaster at his side, I'm a tad disappointed.  Throw a bone to the consumer on that stuff, Hasbro.  It's the little things that sometimes help push the perceived value.

-2 Shades of Orange:  Hasbro missed one detail that the careful nerds of Star Wars noticed, and one I admit I noticed myself (as I pushed my taped up, plastic-rimmed glasses back up onto my face).  Luke's jacket does not match the orange of his flight jumpsuit in the film, and it's the same for the other pilots.  The jackets are, I believe, a darker orange than the jumpsuits.

In the figure's case though, the jacket and jumpsuit are a spot-on match in terms of color.  It's a minor deco flaw that I notice, and which I would've liked to have seen Hasbro catch because, while minor, I think it stands out some once you know this flaw exists.

It's not a deal-breaker for me on the figure, but it's one of those things that I hope they handle in the future because this figure's dominant colors are the orange, so some may say that it stands out as a big flaw.  I don't, but I can see where others are coming from on that one.

OVERALL

What can I say?  I'm getting off my ass and reviewing a new figure, and it feels good to do so with something I just picked up recently, and which I consider quite awesome.

Snowspeeder Luke is not flawless though...  So don't kid yourself.  He's got the articulation, he's got the deco for the most part, he's got one of the best Luke sculpts I think Hasbro has ever done in the entire line.  But he's also lacking some key "action" accessories that I think make Luke the hero of the original trilogy.  Slap a saber blade and a blaster pistol in there for goodness sake Hasbro!  It's not that big a deal I think.

Still, flaws aside, this is one of the finest Luke Skywalker figures on the market, and I think it's one of those figures everyone should own.  With the new AT-AT all but on our doorsteps at this point, how could you not have this figure to ascend it, and totally F it up with a bomb?

Speaking of which...  No bomb?  Yeah, I almost mentioned that as a flaw too, but I figured someone can just use a Wookiee one I guess.   :-\  But yeah, I was thinking about that too.

Anyway, my hat is off to Hasbro on another dandy, and I really am hopeful we're going to see a slight retooling of this figure into a Dagobah version.  A new skirt piece with a blaster holster, and a capless headsculpt would be nifty.

It's a dandy as it is though, so get yours today if you actually find it somewhere in the quagmire of retail.  I just got mine fairly recently in January here, so they're starting to surface, but so far only at Wal-Mart, so happy hunting!

Are they a trustworthy site?

I only ask because a couple flicks I've loved since childhood that I would like to own are available.  They're obviously horrible movies, but I can't find them locally, so I figured I'd ask if this site's a reputable one that anyone here's given a try for some truly horrible movies that they have a soft spot for. :)

Thanks for the opinions.

Out on the front page you can check out a picture we got of a STAP w/Battledroid that appears to be exclusive to Toys R Us.  It's being paired with a Speederbike w/Scout Trooper as well.

Expect both sets to be expensive! :)

I'm a HUGE fan of Marauder Gun-Runners store of accessories and gear for all things 1:18 scale/3.75".  They've created some cool sci-fi and clearly Star Wars-rooted weaponry in the past, and they're taking their line of accessories a step further by introducing a new system of stands for 3.75" Action Figures.

Just a little synopsis real fast, they do all injection-molded plastic accessories on their site, so you're getting a pretty high quality and durable item when you order.  Their guns often feature movable parts like stocks, removable clips, bipods, etc.  The detail is pretty insane too with some of the weapons, which feature removable grips, lights, secondary weapons, and ammo clips.  That's serious detailing in this scale!

This post is largely to promote their new Interlocking Display System (I.D.S.) of stands though, and eventual future products.

Marauder Gun-Runners recently sent me a set of their I.D.S. to review and get a feel for how the system works, and what benefits or drawbacks it has, and then share that with our readers here at Jedi Defender.

Overall, color me impressed!  I found the system pretty versatile and actually was most impressed by how it made moving large groups of figures easier.  The semi-glossy black surface is ideal for Starship or Death Star-ish looking hallway floors too.  More colors may be coming, but I'm not sure on that.  The stands are easily customized though if you wanted unique bases for your figures.

I'm hoping to pick up a couple more sets soon as these work well for my vintage Star Wars and I'm about to get my loose figure collection set up into a new shelf I built, so it's the ideal time to crack and buy some stands!

Thanks for reading, and share your thoughts on the I.D.S. stands if you'd like!

Other Collectibles / Hasbro "Zip Vehicles" Toys?
« on: December 5, 2009, 04:32 AM »
There was a gallery of prototypes, and among them were some Zip-wire type vehicles.  I used to play with cars and motorcycles as a kid that used the little plastic zip cord thing to rev up an engine.  They pinched your fingers all the time, and the motorcycles went ape**** when you let them loose. :)

Clicky to check it out.

Not everyone's cup of tea but the kiddies will probably like them smashing around on the kitchen floor or flying off the table.
