Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Vintage OTC Figures

Sad to say, but if Hasbro reused the Chewie with a Bespin Escape head, or slapped a removable dog collar on it...  I'd buy that figure over, and over...

All off them look great.  Amazingly, even R2's growing on me, but I'm still disappointed.

3PO, while a nice accurate sculpt, is the stinker ofo the entire VOTC line.  Even Ben found someone underneath him.  That took some effort (Or lack of it) I'd say.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Episode 3 Packaging Revealed!!!

Welp, it sure is a busy looking package isn't it?

I expect a more subtle packaging design through other licenses, especially ones not so squarely pegged towards kids as a movie action figure line.

I'm undecided...  It is definitely using the 2 core elements to the Packaging layout we debuted though (the Lava and "scowling" Vader), which were to be expected, but it's definitely far from ordinary.

Greivous, while I know he's the big pimp of the next film, is a bit much...  That's where the packaging is maybe TOO busy to me.

Totally cool by me Matt.

The Spec. Forces guy may sell actually, or i'll hack him for customs fodder.  I actually OWN the guy already (he was packed in the limtied release that 21st's Humvee saw at the end of their Toys R Us deal).  I got him and he was cool to a point, but his legs are F'n horrible in every way possible (totally hard to explain here).

So the one I get I'll sell or something...  I'm sure smeone will bite.  Or i'll hack him, like I said.  He has a cool, to-scale stocking cap, so maybe one of my customs will have a cold noggin'?

The other 3 are all brand new so I'm all for them...  With the poster, I consider it a fairly balanced transaction.  I owe ya Matt!

LMK when you get back what all I owe.

Talk to you soon, and thank you SO much for taking the time to do that...  Next year I'll have to get you to nag 21st for me to make MORE FREAKING FIGURES ALREADY!

Ah thse...

Well, that's up in the air, but...  I can safely say those are ALL frankenstein kitbashes 21st did.  They're a mix of BotB Germans (open greatcoat) with the coat removed and non-coat arms on....  Headswaps galore...

Frm what I assume, they're either just lame attempts at filling stuff out at the show, or they're lame prototypes for more infantry figures.  They were talking of doing the 1st Series Infantry over with the new articulation since they have the limbs to do it now...  I hope they at least put some new heads out so othey have removable helmets.

Anyway, since the re-release infantry isn't even on-tap from them, I'm wagering they're just filler because the booth had no figures really.  Or so it seemed.

I'd love head variant and new limbs on the infantry guys though...  Or BotB figures...  Or Paratroopers...  I'd buy those waves all over again with variety if they did it.  Some deco variants would rock.

They seemed to mostly display new planes only at SDCC...  And the couple tanks (the BotB Tiger I).

I want that bubbletop Mustang something feirce.  NICE plane.

Not sure which images you mean Vator...

In the BotB line there's 2 trenchcoat Germans and a tanker only...  At least right now.

Yeah a head variant Handmaiden would rock for sure.

Her ceremny figure turned out spectacular from that photo.  Very intricate.  The statue figures are dull usually, and she is dull no doubt, but they made her as visually appealing as any Padme to date.

Yeah, there's some EU contradiction as most  sources say its a "she", but now Hasbro says a he...  EU sources (Galaxies to be exact, and to a lesser extent the holiday specials) indicate that wookies have a feminine shape if they are female, with breasts and all under the fur, but Yarua never LOOKED to have a feminine shape.  Perhaps EU screwed up and Hasbro's right?

Sculpted with different hands too, according to the Insider...  Sounds like she's seen modifications over her development.

Beam me up Berry!

I'm watching TNG right now...  Great episode Lando, the one where they encounter the "Bratain" adrift and the crew killed each other because they culdn't get into REM sleep and went insane.

I think this was a Halloween-ish episode when it was released.

Very cool one...  Seeing the ship fall apart...  Worf almost kill himself.  Great!

Anyone picking up a COUPLE Crawlers and want to unload their extra Death Star Droid?

I'm having a tough time justifying the vehicle still, but that's a dandy droid.

Great photos from Galactic Hunter.  Kudos to them for the score on those!

Yarua = great

Bald chick = great

Pablo = cool, but looks action posed for the arena.  :(  Rather have had a poseable figure...  I'll hold off till I see one better though.  Articulation's rough to tell on those robes.

I gotta go to the gym so I'm likely to miss this fun stuff.

I hope Matt really digs about Super Articulated Figures...  I want more, more, more!

Got the OTC Bespin Wave today.

ALL 3 are winners, though Leia's left a bit wanting...  Rather lame, unposeable Leia, and honestly my Leia Collection Leia's staying on Han's arm.  OTC one will maybe be posed in my Bespin set-up then...  One of the rare times one of the exact same character will share shelf-space.

The Lobot is great (could be better, but for Lobot, he's great) and Cloud Car Pilot is awesme from top to bttom.

No goofy leaning either, like he appeared to have in some photos.  That's a GOOD thing.
