Tonight, just fireworks calls here and there...  Meh...

Well, the cops got the guy's name via the temp tags on the car and traced him to a town near Apollo and on the last road they're pretty sure he was on (this was very fascinating...  The Apollo cop lost the kid but caught some black skidmarks onto a road and it turns out this road goes to the town they've tracked him to...  All very fun to listen to).

So the kid's on the S-List of the police, and it turns out his DOB is *drumroll* today...  hah.

The one cop says, "Well when we catch him we can tell him happy birthday".  Haha...  Yeah!  This is great!

So they're tracking him down, they called some State Troopers in from the county seat to come down and sorta surround him so he can't run again.  Great stuff.

Anyway, a "Neb ****" is a Pittsburgh term...  Means the same as a busy body, or basically someone who sticks their nose into business that isn't theirs....  Thus I'm a "Neb ****" for listening to a police scanner just to hear all the goings on of my area.

Gangs aren't a huge issue in Pittsburgh let alone my area, so stuff out here tends to be more or less minor stuff.  The occassional "big" thing happens though.  This has been a fun night, but I gotta get some sleep here...

I highly recommend picking one up...  Mine's always on in the background, and while a lot of nights out here are quiet and mostly just ambulance calls (kinda dull), you get those odd cop calls that just erupt into something you HAVE to listen to.  Definitely need one of these Brad.

I don't know about you guys, but I am a neb ****, and I like listening to a police scanner...  My old one keeled over on me not long ago...  It was given to me by a woman who just didn't want it anymore, and I was hooked.

Got a new one, and I have to say that it's just a blast if you're home and have it on...  I'll even mute what I'm perhaps watching on TV to listen to what's going on.  And being the 4th weekend, there's a LOT going on.

I just listened to a great high speed chase...  It's like a good movie, you can't leave that thing because you keep hearing the cops going back and forth about the chase, and setting up blocks, and trying to cut the guy off, and it's great...  You hear the ID go out, then come back with the guy's name (or this case the temp tags indicating where the car was from), and sometimes I even hear people I know come across the thing...  It's funny.

Tonight's chase was great.  Edge of your seat kinda ****, seriously.  A red Pontiac or Chevy blew past an Apollo,PA cop at 110 mph and the chase was on.  The guy outran the cop too out near where my brother used to live...  The State Police were involved, 3 local police all from separate townships/boroughs...  I have to admit that I'm sure I could have found other stuff to do tonight, but since I've been busy all week I decided to stay home, and that made it partly worth it.

Plus the banter they have back and forth is great...  The Apollo Cop told them to wake up the auto dealer where the car was registered and get him "down here"...  It's a little private dealer.  THe dispatcher replied later with, "I got him up and he's on his way...  He wasn't happy", and the cop says, "Neither are we", haha...  It's probably the dealer's kid driving the car too, making it all the more funny.

So anyway, do any of you have one?  I'm so into this I'm wanting a CB/Scanner in my car anymore just because I love listening to this stuff.  It's kinda like Cops without the picture I guess.

But, I will say...  I hate when a call for an ambualnce comes out because somewhere out there is a "rectal bleed".  Ah!   :'(

Pittsburgh, in its infinite wisdom, decided to not only have our usually nightmarish 4th of July festivities, but ALSO to mix them with the Pittsburgh Regata, which is always a nightmare for anyone wanting to get into the city.

Monday's fireworks downtown, and the city's sort of known for its fireworks shows actually from what I understand, so of course the 4th show is always the biggest of the year and people come from quite a ways to see them...  Coupled with the Regata it's going to be a nightmare, but I'm pondering TRYING to get to my buddy Dan's house (other side of the city too, lovely) and take the "T" in on Monday to check out the show...  It'd be fun, but not the trip in or out of the city.   :-\

I was thinking the boobie hanging out under the shirt had a clever name too but all I could think of was Beavis's love of thingies hanging so you can see the bottom of them.

And I have to say, probably one of my earliest thoughts that showed I was on my way to manhood was loving the thingies hanging out the bottom of the shirt in the very video (David Lee Roth's "Just a Gigolo") Beavis/Butthead were commenting on...  Ah yes, gotta love the bottom of those thingies.

I'd consider perhaps calling it "Sportin' a W", but I freely admit I'm not very creative...  at times.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: TRU Exclusive Clones!

Part of me thinks that's the best option too...  3 SA's on a deluxe card with just the right gun (rifle, given that we have a ton of the carbine at this point).  But the idea of the Evolutions styled box (not "Evolutions" figures though, just a reuse of that packaging style) would be ideal if you were getting MORE accessories...  Just thinking outside the box on that a bit, but not expecting it.  But I could see zip-lines, a rocket launcher, various weapons...

Good idea, I hadn't thought of doing that!

Personally I'd still rather see just the figures with less packaging and less extras, but if they have to go for the Ev-style box, adding accessories and things would be the best bet to make it worth the extra dough.

Yeah I really wouldn't wanna pay $20 just for a box...  If that's the case, 3 on a Deluxe card for $10 would be much better...  or even $15.  I dig weird accessories though and would love to see the Clone Mini-Gun, the rocket launcher...  Perhaps more CW figures will surface someday (and not cartoon styled ones) with those weapons.  I doubt it but I'd love to see it.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS Recent Purchases

I got myself INCREDIBLY caught up on Deluxe tonight.

I put on Lay-away:

-2 Spider Droids
-2 Crab Droids
-1 Stass Allie
-1 Yoda on Can-Cel
-1 Red Variant Clone 3-pack (trade bait maybe)

And I bought outright a SA Clone (just one SA Clone chilling on the pegs, hah), and a Crab Droid.

No Vader med tables, and that sucks ass.  :(  I want that figure SO bad and have never seen any variant of it.

I may nab more droids though.  The Spider Droid and Crab Droid are damn sweet figures, even though I used to be a Spider Droid hater.

If it was, we may never know now!

Looks like a cheap enough way to pick up some rifles though for the folks in need.  God knows I could use a couple dozen of those myself right now just for that gun.

That is a sweet clone aeseven...  He looks like he'd fit in well on a cold-weather planet where he just had to improvise a bit.

Good to see you and JediSpyke make a jump over too.  Peruse the other parts of the forum, you guys may find this to your liking since we try to keep things run well for our members and still keep the site more open and appealing to the "adults" in collecting as far as quality and whatnot.  Enjoy.

I can see reinforcements being needed at the temple...  so I can see white suited Clones there.  I can see the grey marking troops there too since we do see them on Coruscant in one scene...

Be funny if Palpy sent in the 501st thinking they'd get the job done and they still needed extra guys to pour in.  Jedi kickin' ass and they'd take names but they kicked it so fast they could only take initials!   :o

Oh and Toronto and BC don't count as part of Canada

Well, up till that part, I was to Canada...  :(

Went to Niagara Falls too...  The Canucklehead side!  You didn't list it so it still counts.

Well, if they're like the ones on Coruscant then yes...  Clones there in some scenes had grey shins and shoulders (I think those were the markings).

If the paintjob is not accurate though then technically no.
