There is a belt "buckle" mechanism (peg/hole) just like on the Red Clone Commander, and the skirt should THEORETICALLY come off...  However...

Hasbro saw fit, at least on my figure, to glue the belt to his waist and his ass cheeks.  Why, I do not know...  Kind of defeats the purpose of making the belt have the removable feature/buckle and all that, but hey, it's Hasbro.  They're goofy.

BTW Jared, your Bacara rocks and I'm not hell bent on doing that too.  The way the helmet rests on the neck doesn't bug me in the slightest.  May do that headswap real quick just to see if I'm just not seeing the crappiness.  :)  Looks cool by me though.

The best Idea I've heard on this so far is the thought of these being 3 SA Clones in an Evolutions style box (hopefully with the right gear and stuff)...  I hadn't even considered the Evolutions boxes as really being made for 3 figures and stuff...

That's ideal thinking, unless you consider ideal to be the 3 SA guys in a small package (with just rifles)...  I'd love that Evolutions sort of idea, but not under the Evolutions title.  That'd be rather neat.

I haven't, as I only got one Bacara when I was out (only saw one too), so I am not sure what may be possible...  I will say that action features tend to throw a wrench into swapping parts.  It may not be possible, or at least it may not be simple.   :-\

Hah, I'd like to Jared...

Won't do it, but I'd like to.

I think this is great...  Nice to see something that has had a bit of buzz being offered for an ok price.  I'll definitely nab one even though it technically does stray outside what I'd normally buy.  I love the concept and can't wait to nab one.  Saw someone do an RC Custom droid once a while back with small RC modules...  Pretty neat.

Unless you like it...  I mean, a lot that comes out is still good EU material...  I just think this Hyperspace thing is a prime example of WHY the EU is not considered "definitive" or "canon", and just something that is there for sort of a fan pick-and-choose...  It's like a Star Wars buffet where you can try everything, nothing, or just somethings.

But I was watching a thread elsewhere about Clone Wars (the toons) being "Canon".  Beyond the asinine reasons given (some which weren't entirely informed/correct, such as "Lucas was heavily involved with Clone Wars" when in reality he only gave some "help" to them by letting them introduce a character he created), the point stands that Lucasfilm hasn't changed anything publicly about the films being canon and nothing else...  I don't know what it is about TV's, but people think that if they see it, they can argue "Yeah, well that happened because it's MORE important than (insert EU medium here)".  I think that degenerated into the CW toon being more "canon" than the Clone Wars Comic or some **** like that.

Then it turns to a pissing match where one guy says the cartoon's canon, then another says "but the comic contradicts such and such from the cartoon", and then the EU debate rages because some say the cartoon's now canon, others are confused...  It's funny to observe.

Yeah, welcome aboard to JD...  Amazing you posted your first post about this.  You should go introduce yourself in the introductions forum....

A very nice Destroyer that's being talked about...  Not $2500 nice to me...  But a lot of work went into it for sure.  I'd dig building one myself but nowhere to display anything that big for certain.

Did they have TV's in the floor?

With my head hung low because of the attrocious bill, I did notice some TV's in the floor, yes...

And I swear that bird was saying "Thanks for the paycheck, sucker!" under that stupid assed mask.

Yeah, but they sucked.

I'd dig a Droid 3-pack, but only if it was ALL battledroids (not the super, or any other droid).  An officer/Oom9 paintjob, and done in 3 color variants.  Green, Cream, and Red...  I'd prefer one sculpt though, and poseable.

Take the Droid from the Episode One Naboo 4-pack (the TRU set) and just cast him in all those colors.  That'd be a sweet set I'd sink a lotta money into.  As it stands my Clones are shooting at thin air for the most part...  Well, a couple spider droids act as targets too I guess.

Close...  He's not blind, but he only has feet so that's all he's able to paint with.

What I find funny is army building exclusives at all...  Exclusives, by their nature, generally are a shorter production run than basic run items, so really it seems like a shot in the foot in the long-run as far as profitability...  If you can sell more, shouldn't you try?

Price on these could be anywhere but just because the Target Clone was overpriced doesn't necessarilly mean these will be...  Look at the 4-packs from a while back, they weren't really poorly priced for what you got, they were just piss-poor sets...  A deluxe-sized exclusive is sort of new, so where it falls price-wise is anyone's guess...  Same with production runs though, these could be made in droves, and they could really actually sit.

I recall the Clone Wars 3-packs actually getting to a point where they didn't fly off the pegs, at least where I live, and even some were found when TRU finally clearanced Clone Wars Deluxe.  I still regret passing that Spider Droid and the 3-packs I saw sit on sale for $8 since they'd have made good trade bait, and I'd kinda like having the Spider Droid now.  Live and learn.

May have to check that out...

Pittsburgh's got a lotta old buildings around sort of like that.  Old Assylums and whatnot that are usually overgrown now by the surrounding woods and things.  Creepy but they never get torn down or anything.  One was to go down because of a Wal-Mart that wanted to be built where it stands but the people in the area fought the WM so it still sits there.  A guard is paid to watch over it and that's all.

The headsculpts look accurate to me...  They look like Christensen spot-on, and miles beyond any previous attempt.

My beef with the 2nd pic there Jess, is the hand-painting more than the sculpt.  The eyes are all wrong, the skintone's a little funky...  Hand-painted early samples can really be hit or miss, and that one's a miss.  I think the sculpt's just dandy though as I'm sure it's what they used for tha tproduction photo just above it.  And that, is a sweet looking figure to me...

ROTS Anakin is the same.  Much crisper sculpt, accurate...  Blows his basic counterparts out of the water.

It's all in who you know.

I think the AFA grades "on the curve" for big dogs like Brian Smelling and Cloud City because they probably send items in "bulk" for grading.

Just like politics baby!   :P

That's a really good point Ruiner...  And it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.  Who's to say the AFA people aren't being dishonest, ya know?  But...  People seem to feel a need to have others judge their stuff instead of judging it for themselves.  If I had such a lack of faith in myself in this hobby (I mean, vintage is a tough hobby to know inside out, but modern?  Sheesh!) I think it'd be time to hang it up...  People really need to work on their confidence/self-worth issues I think...

The ones I hit probably have 12 or more Lando's and as many Yoda's.  That's every store...  These seem to be the casemates these Stormies come with I think.
