My "army" is apparantly just a squad in comparison to your army there Rob.  Damn! :(  I gotta play catch up if I can find some Clone grunts.

Yeah I've noticed someone mention that one somewhere...  Gotta change the blade on my Agen I guess.  Did Kit Fisto use a blue saber then, or green?  I was thinking there was only one green Saber and 2 blue, but the scene's sorta hazy in my mind now.

Welcome aboard mate...

Have a good time, and I'm sure you'll learn a lot here.  Some of the best collectors in the hobby are members and staff here, so you're in good company.

For the first time I've seen a D-Day Spitfire in person.  I'm temppted to take back my Spit for the D-Day.

The figures still haven't shown in my area, nor has the Panzer, nor the Dodge Truck, etc...  I'm bumming.  I wanted to pick up Marines and BotB figures galore. :(  Wal-Mart sucks ass for distribution.  I miss TRU carrying the line, though they bungled the German figures completely.

This makes me think how much I used to love Hardee's Burgers but the Hardee's in Pittsburgh are all gone save for one that USED to be in a rough part of town near where a girl I dated used to live...  They rocked.  Those and Rax, but that was a roast beef/deli meats type place.

I swear, these places like White Castle and In & Out (Heh) are just foreign to me.  Even when I used to travel a bit I didn't recall seeing these places.

I like Steak & Shake in Pittsburgh, but there's literally only 2 of them here right now, and none within 45 minutes of my house.  They're like an oddity here that people will line up and wait a very long time to eat there.  It's kinda funny.  One's opening at the new mall which will put it about 25 minutes from me (5 minutes from my gf's house) so that's good...  Makes it worthwhile to go to.

The X-Treme Detail Military Collectibles boards used to be hosted through there since it's a relatively small and privately run community...  They have a separate forum now, but I can imagine the turmoil that would've caused.  Those guys go ape**** when their site's down, like it's crack.

There's some good modeling forums on there with lots of tips and tricks archived.  Sad if that stuff's lost from a customizer's standpoint.

$.04 is the most I think I'd go for unless the penney jar had some larger value coin in it (dime, nickle, etc.) which those of course are fair game as well.

To me, you should never take more than the next highest value coin...  So if it's just penney's in there, $.04 is your limit.

A Red Robin JUST opened here Jason, I gotta try that now.

Hmmm, fast food's really piss poor around here...  Steak & Shake's just made an appearance in the last 5 years, and they're still sparse (one opening near me though).  I'd say, and this isn't really fast, but Fudruckers was probably the best burger I've had short of making one myself.

Places like McDonald's and stuff just don't do it for me unless I'm really desperate.

I like Steak & Shake food though, if that's a burger...  Not really I guess, but in a way.

I will say, A&W doesn't make a bad burger...  Hmmm, now I'm hungry.

That's pretty sweet Rob.

I, with CT STormies, can pull a similar classic scene off, but my Clone Army is meager at this point.

I have work to do just to catch up to that.  I'd like, honestly, 100 white CLones at a minimum.  If Hasbro does variations of the #6 or SA sclpt, then I'm in for as many of each of those that I can get as well.

And not counting customs too...  Yikes.  :o  That's a whole lotta plastic.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: RotS - Deluxe Figures
« on: June 1, 2005, 12:42 AM »
I hope I run into those kinds of numbers you found Pete.  The Crab Droid's on my top priority list, and I have to admit that (even though I was a Spider Droid Hater), the Spidey has grown on me over the years...

The retooled gun is nice, it looks in-scale, and I can stomach the inaccurate undercarriage and would like a couple of the new ones...

The Crab Droids just rocked in the film if for no other reason than the Clone who went balistic on the one...  I'd like to stock up on Stass and her bike too for hopeful BARC Troopers in the future, or at least customs.

The Clone 3-pack's still uninspiring to me so at least (for once) the hottest figure in a case isn't the figure I want the most. :)

I noticed that too, on Stass riding a ROTJ/E2 styled bike but the two Clone's sport the BARC.

I'm kinda happy they retooled the BARC since the initial launch one is a bit bogus.  I do find it ironic that a point they could've rehashed something they didn't.  Stass's bike looks pretty sweet though, a lot better than the first version.

Sheesh Rob...  Nice collection amassed so far.  I wish I could find more but I've not had luck as of late.  25's a lot more than I had initially rationed to myself...  15 more atualy.

I'm a weak person I guess.

40 would make me very happy though, especially after seeing pics of 40 + lined up...  Oh man that's just a sweet action figure!

Saga Collection '06 / Re: VOTC and OTC Returns in 2006!
« on: June 1, 2005, 12:32 AM »
I'm really at odds with myself on this one...

I agree with Scott that, at best, these are $8 figures...  The bubble and cardbacks were special, they took extra work/effort...  Packaging can be pricey, and that was probably as price (per item) as it gets.

If they're doing every figure from the vintage line (I'm somehow doubtful of that, but one never knows) then I think the cost of packaging becomes somewhat negated...

I'm not AGAINST more VOTC...  I think the quality in the VOTC is unmatched, even in ROTS's line (short of their SA figures and perhaps the Royal Guard/Senate Guard).

So to that end, I'd like more VOTC, but at $10 a pop I'm hesitant to let out a big "Yay!" on this one.  I guess we'll have to see what manner the VOTC could pan out.

I'm glad to hear the OTC style in general will come back.  I think it's the best to-date, and the most representative of Star Wars as a franchise.  I'm not a packaging fan, that's why I generally don't touch on it in my reviews, but even I was saving some of those OTC cardbacks.  :)

The only sign of intelligent life in Cleveland is the sign that says how far it is to Pittsburgh.

I vote Cleveland...  The armpit of America.
