Bob,

Go to www.photobucket.com and set up an account.  Real simple, really reliable, or so I've found.  My buddy Dan uses a Yahoo set-up to host photos too that he shares after we've been out or when he's been somewhere and took pictures...  That's an idea.

I'm a photobucket fan though ever since someone showed that site to me.

What's it doing, exactly?

BTW while it can do that, the VOTC Stormtrooper's still better...  It looks like something other than an artists tool that has lego hands. :)

I'd say that Old School is the only one that anyone should show shame for stealing.  That movie deserves every dime it earns.

Beyond that the people who made those other ones should be thankful anyone wanted them enough to take in the first place and that they still have careers after making them.

Someone's a Stiller fan by the way...

Benoit also won the "World's tallest midget" award, but I think that was at another ceremony.

Didn't he play the tall Jawa in ANH?

That Zam speeder is still an attrocious POS in and of itself.

#1 anything that size should be done to-scale, no excuses.
#2 if Hasbro took the time to actually research their own product, they'd have realized that the paint on the rubbery part of the ship would react with the materials used to construct the "damage" feature, and would forever remain tacky.

The Zam speeder is a lint/cat hair magnet.   ::)  Brilliant guys, just brilliant.

Anakin's speeder suffered from the same scale issues, though at least the engine cowls (why'd the damn thing have a damage feature in the first place, when it never even crashes?  Stupid...) weren't tacky for all eternity.  Still a sucky vehicle.  Got 'em for $3 each as I recall and still regret it.

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: VOTC/OTC Purchases

Good fodder scores Jason.  My purchases tonight were:

1 Ozzel for $3
1 Lando Skiff (Saga) for $3
1 Gold Leader for $3
4 VOTC Stormtroopers for $7 each
1 VOTC Vader for $7

I got a couple more WM's and Targets to hit up possibly tomorrow.  Word is some have Scanner techs, which I want ONE (Figure still sucks) just because the paintjob's so vastly superior on it.

Lotta stores are bare-to-the-bone empty though now.  Especially Target and TRU who seemingly have nothing, though I have to admit I haven't been in many TRU's lately.

He shoots he scores!

Tonight I went out for New Year's Eve, and all we basically did was go out for dinner and have some beers.  We were done right away so I said, "Hey, wanna run up Route 8 to Wal-Mart" and she went right along with it...

OK, so I got 3 old Saga figures for $3 each for customizing...  Then I said, "Hey, wanna run up the Turnpike to Cranberry now?" and she said, "OK" so we were off to another stop...  Target had just closed (dammit, what store closes at 10?  Pfft), so we went to the Wal-Mart then which is 24 hours...

SCORE!  4 VOTC Stormtroopers for $7.  They had one Fett I left and some ESB figures too (Vaders, Yodas, and Landos).  Not a single other ROTJ than the 4 Stormies and Fett, which is odd, because it means someone (or multiple people) were in and got the Chewies, R2's, the other Fett's, etc...  And left 4 Stormtroopers.  Weird, but lucky for me.

The army is at 19 for me.  Now I want at least one more for an even 20.  ;D

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Anyone Into Monkeys?
« on: December 30, 2004, 04:40 AM »
Thanks HMI, I like you too...

Wait, you meant the monkeys.  I apologize profusely then.

Quote
I believe GH has some type of fixation on them...

Bah, they may enjoy monkeys, but I originated the fascination with our lesser cousins.
I have lead the way in monkey fandom for decades, even though I'm only 27.  I still
did it in spirit when I was merely a gleam in my father's eye.

To that end, we need them not as mascots, but only to acknowledge they are full of fuzzy
greatness that we all may enjoy no matter our age.

Oh and GH calls them monkeTs, which really is a whole other
"thing" with them.  :)

Another favorite shot of mine.  I think the suit makes the monkey btw.

Smoking Monkeys simply rock.

Anyone else into them?

I got some fine monkey items for Christmas actually.  Among
them includes:

-Monkey Bobblehead from Aeropostale
-Painting of Curious George (who is painting)
-Monkey Boxers

And I gave my significant other a nice monkey as her opening Christmas Gift to start off the evening.

What say you...  Monkey fan or not?

No problem Jesse. She sure was something back then & still is. I had all her posters.  8)

Now there's some spank material.  Good god...

Wasn't she in porno?  I seem to remember some story of her and her slutty songs (not that I'm griping) and everyone's favorite pass-time.

Anyway...  Off to check and see if that's done printing out.   :-X

Well, given that his Ebay reputation is basically shot, and he'll never be able to do business again with that account, I have no doubt that he simply doesn't give two ***** about refunds or packages...  it's probably in his interest to keep the $ really, so (given things as they are) I wouldn't doubt that he's just trying to hose you, again, Matt.   :-X

The weapons are molded in-hand to these figures, correct?

Just sorta curious since I'd like that long rifle the Stormtrooper has but don't want to get into these...  It's a customizing thing.

One guy used a Stormie already on a VOTC Stormie body, and the combined two look nice.  Especially the way the hand rests on the belt.  Very realistic.

See Jared, you'd buy them, so it's realistic style all the way then...  You'll just have to be along for the ride. :)

I nabbed a VOTC Yoda and Lando for $7 each, and a repack ANH Vader and Gam. Guard on the OTC cards for $3 each...  Judging by the receipt I don't think I was charged for the Gam Guard too either...  I'm not gonna stress on it.

Would love to find (actually) a Luke and Ben VOTC...  Maybe a leia.  I could use all 3 for customizing.   And of course I could use finding the OTC's I didn't get just to ease the pain of having a complete set by getting them for cheap...  Namely I'd like the Scanner tech (though Ic an't stand him) because of his head's paintjob being so much better.

I felt lucky to nab a Gam Guard, especially because they JUST showed up here in my neck of the woods.  A few of the OTC paintjob are now in my posession, and mix nicely with the POTF2 version.  They look very cool.
