Yeah, distribution is wonky all over...  I see a lot of people around the sites claim that "if you go out and look, you'll find it", but the reality is that regional distribution varies greatly...

Many areas saw the EU figures in 98, for example, but Pittsburgh saw NOTHING of those figures really.  Maybe one shipment or two, and they went just as fast.  None on clearance either.  Those were some of the only figures I never saw at retail except for the Fan Club.

The Y-Wing was another fine example of regional distribution blunder.  Target's had just opened in the area, and while the West Coast was claiming they sat and even clearanced, out here they were non-existant.

Something odd too, Ach Med Beq...  Everywhere had TONS of him I have heard, to the point they still have that figure on pegs, but he really saw a normal shipment here...  Came and went, like he should've.

I sorta think it's misleading to tell people "If you get out there and look, you'll find it!" then.  I think that, unless you live in their area, you can't really say what ranks as a shelf-warmer and what doesn't.  It's weird how things are distributed.  I know Bobafett14 travels all over creation, and he's told me how one area has FX-7's on the pegs as recently as this past Summer I think...  I mean, that's an awesome figure that flew off shelves here as quickly as the Imp Officer that he was packed in with did.  It's really strange.  And I believe that was just down over the state lines in Maryland as I recall too.

Hey, that's pretty neat looking.  Make a nice base to a custom vehicle...  What was the "Big Trak" anyway?  I've never seen that toy before.

After trying it on, I found out XL is PLENTY big...  Guess I overestimated.  It's cool though, I dig it!

Man, if any of you guys are finding EXTRAS on clearance, keep me in mind...  I'd buy from ya.

Damned if we're even lucky enough for these to sit at all.  I still have only spotted TWO Stormtroopers on the pegs total, and bought them.  He just never showed up here in droves.

Legos...  Too damn many of them, too damn expensive, and a pain in the ass to keep track of.  Feel like selling them sometimes, then wonder if I'd even make back what they cost.

Especially SW Legos.

I got the POTC Naboo and Coruscant figures...  All caught up till preview wave, yay.

I got some nice shirts, couple pairs of pants...  I got some DVD's of Hammer Horror films (First Cushing/Lee Dracular), and the Vincent Price classic, "Wax Works".

Hmmm, Mostly was clothes for me this year...  I was told I'd get some much needed customizing supplies bought for me as soon as I decided to put an order in (I wanna buy some myself too), so that's cool.  Gotta get on the ball with some things.

That's about it on this end.  Another grand Christmas for me, for which I'm happy and thankful.  Not much running around is what I"m most thankful for, haha.

CT's only MAJOR flaw was the wrists.  Give him VOTC figure's hands, and you've got a great figure in its own right.  VOTC's trouncing it though with all the other joints, the holster (It works...  sorta).  To me the only major flaws for the VOTC were the price and availability. :)

Release these in a 4-pack and I'm in till I go broke.  :D

Yeah, the grey one Dave.  It's cool...  I was gonna buy it for myself a while ago but I wanted an XL and they only had L's...  it seems like the sizes are smaller than average to me, I dunno.  So I was SOL on it till my gf and me went shopping for her stuff she needed (I was done already) and she found the last XL they had at this other mall's Hot Topic.  Very cool.

Probably my favorite thing I got I think, actually.  The POTC were nice though...  It feels good to be caught up...  Short lived I feel certain, but caught up nonetheless.

That was GNT alone being anal over at Scum, i think...  The vinty guys just merged the topics which is cool since they had one.  GNT on the other hand, was pulling power...

Honestly, that and the shot at it being "news" in his mind (Odd that someone not tasked with any reporting is setting personal guidelines of what is, and is not news...  I mean, if GNT's so adept at such things, why not appoint him as a reporter, ya know?  But I digress), are all little paybacks for (I think) a link or mention of Jedi Defender...  Typical kids stuff from him, pay it no mind.

Maybe since Galactic Hunter has the news too now, GNT will consider it more important?  He's not exactly Mr. Popularity over there either though...  Two sites who can't stand his ilk, so he's not welcome at either, and he lashes back at both a lot of the time.

I'm not suprised in the slightest though...  Just speaks of his character.

I still consider the CT a great likeness...  For its time, it's wonderful, and it doesn't look out of place with the VOTC which, to me, speaks volumes for that figure's quality.

I don't really see the eye variance myself...  It's a small enough detail that it slips by.  To me all the great VOTC aren't perfect yet, but I'd still give the nod of "BFE" to the VOTC Stormtrooper at this stage.  Yet to see anything compare.

I consider things like Han's floating holster, Chewie's brighter highlights, and Boba's height as more noticeable detractors...  Then again the Stormies holster isn't anything to write home about at all, so he's got his flaws too.

Well, my mother came through for me...  1 thing I knew I was getting, while the rest were a surprise when she GOT them but she asked me about them to make sure I needed them...  So not a surprise X-Mas day.

Anyway, she got me the Naboo 4-pack for $17 because all the ones at the store had $16.98 clearance tags, for some reason, and she picked it up (and I argued with the cashier) to get the discount.  Yay me.

My mother also caught me up on POTC though, which she got at the local K-Mart, and made sure I needed them...  Spoiled the surprise, but she didn't wanna give me stuff I had, and just didn't know what i needed.  It was an early surprise. :)  And I hated the wait!

My girlfriend got me the Hot Topics Stormtrooper Helmet & Crossbones T-Shirt...  Love that.

Oh, and my mother also got me 2 of this year's ornaments, however I usually tend to wait on them to get them on sale.  It was nice of her to pick them up...  The main one I was hoping for is still out there though, so I still gotta do the clearance run to the halmark store.

That's my Star Wars haul though, in a nutshell.  More than last year which ammounted to zip.

Corps stuff always looks so, uh, "cheap" to me.  I dunno.

BotB stuff sounds nice though.  I'd love more Germans and US RIflemen.

Damned if they didn't do a US in trenchcoat though.  :(  That line shoudl really have had more to it.  Closed and open trenchcoat U.S. riflemen, and a coldweather officer (just use the tanker's body) with a removable bag of Thompson clips.

For the Germans, they should've had a rifleman in the white parka and pants.  A German with MG-34 would've been nice too..  or a Flammenwaffer trooper.

The worst of that lot are the Jeep Driver, and I'd say the US Tanker.  Neither had accessories really, and the Jeep Driver's just a real let-down.  I'm swapping heads on all the extras of him I got and giving him Thompsons or bandoleirs of clips some day (cast accessories/heads).

I'm hoping they redo 1st series with this articulation though, and the removable helmets, and then I'll maybe try my hand at whipping up a cloth coat for the dudes.  Slap it on over top the regular coat and stuff.  Should be cool.

The Germans are just so hard to get ahold of though...  Especially the open-coat guy.

GREAT headsculpts in this wave though.  Very generic, but with a mix of hoods for both sides too.

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Santa Wookie and Elf

Haha, that Ewok's incredible Paul.  Nice. :)

And a good use for a buff Wookie figure too since they're becoming less and less useful for anything.
