Other Toy Lines / Re: The Official 21st Century Toys Thread
« on: December 5, 2004, 09:30 PM »
Power Team Elite has some things available on KBToys.com of interest.

Includes a look-out tower, their command base, and their littlebird.  Not sure if anyone's into these.  They're nice items.

Little talk going on in the genre otherwise right now which is sorta sucky.  Things were rumored, and right now nothing.  I'm hoping 21st comes through with what they are claiming but you'd think X-Mas would be a time to push some.

Lord of the Rings one is great.

When token comes out and says "That's it...  I'm done...", claps his hands and holds them up and then goes in his house.

Then later when the parents confront him, try to explain "love & sex", and his reply...  Absolutely classic.

Cartman's remark to the kids playing Harry POtter was great too.  :)

Weird Al Yankovich:  Dare to be Stupid

Yup, my first album I ever bought.  I did have some records bought for me to play on my mother's record player.  A PAC Man record, some Star Wars and Joe Records, and a Rolling Stone 45.  :P

The Matrix still isn't good, so she isn't that creative either.

Nonetheless, (hopefully) Justice prevailed and she gets her due.

Keeanu Reeves: "I know Kung Fu..."
Alex Trabec:  "We've been over this...  No you do NOT!"

If it meant a new figure like I'd like, I'd be all for it.  I'd just rearrange WHERE the Rebel's uniform came from in my EU sense of things....  That the ALliance just adopted a uniform Alderaan was creating for it or something along those lines.

Their non-violent part in the effort.

If it got a SA Fleet Trooper though...  Whatever it takes. :)

The gaping holes aren't cool, but...  I'm still overall pleased with him.  The things are unnecessary though, and sorta silly.

No holster on Gotal's kinda, eh, too.  Give him a hip or ankle one...  No big deal, but whatever.  I guess he's just always ready for a gunfight.

Myo's a 2nd favorite for me, as I've wanted a Dannik Jerriko for a while, and I'm gonna label Gotal as 3rd.  No real reason, as I would say each is equal to the other.  I'm just ranking them this way because I like Myo and Dannik more as characters I've wanted made.

I'd just call information and get the hotel's #.

Or look up the hotel chain's website on Google or Yahoo.  Every Hotel has one I think...  Or so it seems.

Not good enough, especially with the price hike...  New figure or nothing.

The old one's sculpt is poor IMO with the caved in chest, pre-posed arms, etc...  I'd sooner see a SA one.  From what I've seen though, the Tantive IV's crew isn't the same as in ANH.  It's possible Lucas is actually adhering to EU that the T4's manned by actual Rebel soldiers, and that is their uniform in ANH, and whoever mans it in ROTS is different...  Or uniforms change over time.

On the figure though, if they did have FT's in ROTS, I'd be all for a new, Collection 2 Super articulated one with Antilles' helmet and blaster, and a working holster.

Oh, and a pliable removable vest that actually comes off easily.  Given what the other Col.2 figures look like (or seem to), this would easily be on my wish list whether it's ROTS or ANH.  I don't think the uni's will be the same, for whatever reason though, judging by what I've seen of I believe to be the ship's pilot(s) in actually the recent Insider.

D'oh, correct amundo...  I forgot his beginnings there.  Having just seen the movie on Secret Stash, I was thinking that was his opening scene.

I don't doubt she's a skeezah, as the kids say, but...  Stone Cold and emotional distress just don't mix.  It's a tough pill to swallow. :)

What a shambles the man's life is.  I feel bad for some wrestlers who wind up with hellish lives after their career is over, but Ausin just seems like a jagoff in real life...  Like his character's not a far cry from himself.  Dude asks for it.

Well considering he was wanted for battery of his most recent ex-wife, yeah he most definitely lives his gimmick. He'll be back though, there's always that one last payday in the WWE that gets the "retired" top stars back.

I hope so...  Actually.  As much as I hate beer-swilling hillbillies who do nothing but get drunk and beat people (women or men) up, I really thought he was one of the entertaining people in WWE and when this whole slew left things just are dull.

Hardly worth going to Hooters for PPV anymore.

I wonder when the Rock will realize he's not gonna be popular in Hollywood and goes back to WWE?  I hope that's soon.

That's what I mean...  The players AND the league are what are making things unlucrative, and unfair, and generally uninteresting.  They both are to blame IMO.

I wish they'd open it up to kids who WANT to play.  I'd be amazed.

Zayres wasn't out this way...  Actually, neither was Target, Wal-Mart's relatively "new", Target even more so, and Toys R Us was another store unknown to my region till Children's Palace closed shop and TRU basically put a store up everywhere there was a CP.

Very weird...  Almost every store we had is gone, other than K-Mart, Sears, and Penney's...  Some other high-end dept. stores like Kauffman's or the Bon Ton.  :(  Kinda sad when you think about it.

Monkey Wards I forgot too Jason.  Though their toy area was not up to par with other stores I felt, and it like Penney's was overpriced.

Our local Penney's, where I worked, is closing shop actually, because a new mall is opening on the freeway into Pittsburgh that runs out my direction.  That's pretty sweet news in a way because everyone's banking on where Penney's (and the closed Monkey Wars still stands), is going to turn into hopefully a Wal-Mart or Target...  It'd be nice since we have NOTHING in my area...  Not that that is my area, but it's at least only 15 minutes away as opposed to 25.  :)
