Kubricks / Re: Toning Down...
« on: January 30, 2007, 12:31 AM »
I'll start off by saying that there will still be Bricks N' Beer, so don't worry, there will always be a silly hat to see.

I've had enough with being a completest.
As much as I love the Bricks, keeping up with the Chase figures has just done me in.
Its much to expensive and even when you save $$ by throwing down for a case, the investment is allot of $$ to slap down at once.

I'm going to stick to a few Bricks per Series (especially if they are Imperials) and maybe some of the lower end Carded ones that they release in the future.  Whatever catches my eye, just not the entire series anymore.  If there happens to be a chase I want I'll take my chance with Bricks n' Beer!

I'd also like to keep some $$ open for the higher end stuff like the RAH Fett and a 400% Fett.
So as you see I'm not done, just not going to keep as much stuff and keep the collection small.

I keep telling myself that I won't spend allot of $$ on toys but I already went insane this year, so I have to make a change, my house and car are being neglected!

So keep your eyes peeled in the For Sale section.

Doc

That is one up on eBay now. Bit high $$$$, seen them go much lower.
I`m sure someone here has one that can tell more about it, I just going by what I see
from pics and such. Try google searching Medicom 10th Anniversary book and that will probably get you some good results.

Phil (philnjill from Kubrick World) has a nice collection of various lines too:

Cool book, wish can find a similar one more cheaper..$120 bucks for the Manual are way too high.though I presumed it;s one of their best book that ever had with the entire of the released series been featured..

Great information provided.Appreciated it.I've began to be interested in Carded, since I've gotten the Luke  & BH stormie, craving for more but  due to $$$ issue and uncertainty of the market value / price, really not in the way of getting the rest till I've hit it with the good price..
HTF of the 3 Parco's (Vader,Black Pauldron Sandy & Sacul) and Bape Boba are way too expensive..

Kubricks / Re: Series 8
« on: January 24, 2007, 10:30 PM »
By the way,how do those folks at medicom determined the released dates of the series... :(
SERIES 1 - APR 2003
SERIES 2 - NOV 2003
SERIES 3 - OCT 2004
SERIES 4 - JUL 2005
SERIES 5 - NOV 2005
SERIES 6 - JUN 2006
SERIES 7 - NOV 2006
SERIES 8 - -------- 2007

It seems that, most of the years have 2 releases so far except 2004,probably due to the released of carded figures..r2,black pauldron sandy, droids boba, holo leia, endor boxset and TRU Boxset I presume they've lost 'INTEREST' on regular basis sets... :P sigh.....sigh...

Modern Classifieds / Re: WTB Kubricks
« on: January 22, 2007, 11:26 PM »
Hi,

I got into Kubricks during the series 6 release and have a lot of catching up to do.  I prefer sealed Kubricks (either sealed box or sealed-in-bag w/box) but will consider loose.  Please shoot me PMs with prices.  I'll buy what I can, when I can depending on prices (unfortunately, I can't buy them all at once).  I also have various Star Wars items for trade (I'll try to compose a list in the future) so if you're looking for anything please let me know.

Here's the list of what I need to complete the multiple regular series (I'll worry about chases later):

Series 1:

Regular Figures
___ 4-LOM
___ Dengar
___ Zuckuss

Series 2:

Regular Figures
___ Greedo
___ Obi-Wan Kenobi
___ Tusken Raider

Series 3:

Regular Figures
___ AT-AT Driver
___ C-3PO
___ Lando Calrissian

Series 4:

Regular Figures
___ Darth Vader PENDING
___ Emperor
___ Han - Hoth PENDING
___ Luke - Bespin
___ Nien Nunb PENDING

Kubrick Boxsets:

Toys R Us Exclusive Boxset - Dec 2004
___ Han Solo - Bespin
___ Paploo
___ R2-Q5
___ R5-D4
___ Spirit of Obi-Wan

A couple of good bid prices are listed over at ebay particularly over a Asian Market..Probably you can check it out from there..In fact,I've just completed my Series 1 as well.. :P (excluding those chases of course)

Kubricks / Re: Bape Fett
« on: January 19, 2007, 06:47 AM »
Could somebody please tell me the difference beteween the 'Bape' Fett, and the regular ROTJ Fett?  The only difference that I can see, is in the guns.  Also, where does the term 'Bape' fit into all of it?
[/quote
"Bape" version are the vintage version in which the gauntlets of his hands are in yellow and red whereby the ROTJ are both hands gaunlets are in red..Its has the similarities of the chase figures for S1 ie.. ROTJ from Hong Kong and Vintage from Japan.. this 3 are equally rare items.."Bape" ...well probably is thier convention theme i guess..
