Like X-Wing gear?  Is that a recent announcement?  I missed that.  And is there a pic yet?

Edit: Here he is.  Man, that's nice.

I kind of hope not.  I love these guys, but the exclusives are usually really hard to get, unless it's something like a Premier Guild club membership, which was super easy (once I learned how to make the purchase... ;D).  So far I've been able to get the others (Fett, Trooper, vinyl cape Jawa) but had to watch the website like a hawk for them on the day they went up for sale.

And, exclusives, by definition, mean that many others who want them just won't be able to get them.  These aren't chase figures in a regular retail assortment, designed to increase foot traffic in the store, so there's not that much reason for exclusives in this line.

Having said all that, I wouldn't be surprised to see more SDCC exclusives this year.  Maybe blue snaggy will be one of them.

I've got em all so far, but I'm leaving them on the cards/bubbles (though with that design, you could remove and replace them quite easily).  I"ve been real concerned about shipping damage, but so far, they've all arrived in perfect condition (BBTS and a good ebay seller I deal with both double box).

Awesome.  I would love to get the original 21 at least and the DS Droid is easily in my top 10.  Now if only they would have a BOGO sale... :-\

But everything that you buy is BOGO...  You BO (buy one), then you GO (get one - the one that you just bought)...  ;D

I just saw the 12in DSD on BBTS and was coming here to post the news.  Can't really tell from the pics there, but is he a really dirty vac metal, or not vac at all?

No problem.  I wasn't really upset with that "talking to myself" comment, but just felt a little strange replying to my own posts.  In retrospect, I suppose I could have just edited my last post isntead of adding a new one.

I'm just glad to finally get the 12in GGuard ordered.  I've got all these so far, and they all look really good together.  And as long as the card/bubble arrives w/o damage, I'm good.

Looks like I'm talking to myself here, but I called Gentle Giant directly, and they stated I should have received another email, but I didn't.  So they sent one to me immediately that contained the  link to preorder the 12in Guard and one-time coupon code that offsets the $70 price to make it $0.  Although there is still a separate charge for shipping.

So, if you don't get the email with the codes, just call them up and they'll send it to you.

Well, I placed my order and instantly received an order confirmation email, then 5 days later received an email that said "your order has shipped". Of course, nothing was shipped since I bought only a membership and no actual product, and that's fine.  But there was no redemption code for the "gift" item (12: GamGuard).

Should the redemption code have been in that first or second email, or is there another email coming that contains the code?

Gentle Giant / Re: Gentle Giant Jumbo Vintage C-3PO and R2-D2

I just got my Jumbo C-3PO in this week.  I really like this one, although he's a lot more of an orange tone than the original 3 3/4 figure.  R2 comes out later this month I think, so they'll look great together.

Thanks.  I guess I was missing the button that was to the right of that blue/purple "guild" shield picture, which is where you buy the membership itself.

I'd have thought they would allow you to select the "gift item" at the time you buy the membership, so thanks for that addition info on the confirmation email/code that comes later.

Ok, so how do I buy a Premier Guild Membership? I'm on the GG site, and they show the figure, as well as several other "gift" items you can choose from when buying the membership, and also items that you can buy once you get the membership.  But I cannot find how to buy the actual membership.

Is it not active yet? The membership, once purchased, is valid for the 2012 calendar year, jan 1 through dec 31,so I'd think that you would be able to purchase the membership right now.  But I cannot find where on the site to do it.  Help?

I think that was a carded TC-14, not C-3PO, wasn't it?

"rareak" is accepting "Best offers" but doesn't want to complete the transaction through ebay.  Instead, he sent me an ebay message asking me to send him my paypal info so he could send me an invoice.

When I required the transaction to be completed through ebay (my best offer still showed as "pending"), telling him I wasn't going to pay until it was officially accepted, he declined my offer.

Just a warning.

Man, that's terrible.  I recently bought a set of 9 cards (9 piece vintage wacky packages checklist/puzzle actually) off ebay, and, most sellers stack them, put them in a cheap plastic case (which is good since it's an inexpensive, rigid little box that protects), then put that in a cardboard shipping box, for mailing.

This seller left the cards in a cheap, old 3x3 binder sleeve, and then just put the sleeve in an envelope and mailed that, with not even a reinforcing piece of cardboard.  I emailed them saying how careless and thoughtless that was, and their response was: "oh, sorry, I'm new to ebay and still learning how to ship stuff."

I really only needed one piece of that puzzle, and that particular card wasn't damaged.  But man, some people simply just don't care.

Oh yeah, my set of DX4, the basic 6 and both chases (no background), is on the way.  Got all 8 figs for $489 shipped.  My guy comes through again. =) Although, he had a really difficult time this time putting together a complete set.  Was this a lower production run this time, did shops get shorted?  He made it seem like they weren't nearly as plentiful as the last series.  Not just the chases, but cases overall (although fewer cases also means fewer chases.)

Anyway, I'm glad to have secured these guys.

That bothers me a little bit.  I know that guy, and I got him a bunch of his Star Wars kubs.  I thought they were for his collection, and now I see that he takes the good deals I give him and turns around and resells them, or tries to.  I think I'm going to think twice the next time he asks me to find stuff for him...
