I still can't get this straight...you would rather have the Pack's most bitter rival (the Bears) get in to the playoffs by losing to them to spite the local Vikings fans?  Is that it?  That is messed up...but par for the course for a Packers fan.

As far as what the Vikings need...they need two things...a head coach and a QB, outside of that I'd take everything on the Vikings over the Packers right now and going in to next year

Scott, I live in Minnesota.  I would much rather see the Bears make it in than the Queens.  That's a given for any Packer fan living here.  If I lived in Chicago, I'm sure I'd feel the opposite.  You're once again missing the point that there's no real victory either way for the Pack, so why not get a better draft pick?

If you ever want to bet on a Packers/Vikings game, I'll take the Pack any day and twice on Sunday.  I can't believe you're minimizing the need at head coach and QB - all you're missing are the two most important people on any given team.  ::)

We need a Bears win and a Vikings loss this weekend. . .

What a beautiful game last night.  Kudos to the Pack for giving us a good game while still hurting the Vikes playoff chances and getting the Packers a better draft pick next year.  I love it!
I've never seen someone call a game beatiful when their team loses...and GB better hope they can draft 7 players with their 1st round pick, that is how bad they are

Hey, why not lose if you've nothing left to play for?  If the Pack wins, it helps the Vikes and hurts the Bears.  If they lose, just the opposite.  At least make it a good close game.  And if the end result helps the draft, so be it.

As for how bad they are, that's pretty funny coming from a Queens fan.  It's still a young team in a rebuilding year and they have some guys that need to get healthy on defense, but that offense can keep up with anyone.  I'd say the Vikes have a lot more question marks given they're no lock to make the playoffs, the QBs are fighting over who get's to sit out, and now Peterson can't even hold onto the rock.

Even if they make the playoffs, you know they're going no where.  If you want to go double or nothing on that beer you owe me come playoff time, just let me know.   ;)

I was trying to point out the Vol. 1 portion - didn't even look at the difference in price.  Pretty sure the vintage tapes are close to $20-$30 a pop on eBay unless the KO's are still out there, but I don't think Eject and Rewind have been knocked off yet.

I've actually seen the reissued 2-packs going for around $10 to $15, so you could get a good batch of them for $30-40 if you're watching auctions.  Oh the things I will buy when I win the lottery...  ;D

Cripes, release a 2-pack Catwoman and Batgirl and see how that sells DC!  I relaly don't think toy manufacturers are paying attention.

What's up with so many Punishers & where's the mutants?

I'm not wild about the selections, but I'm just fine with no mutants ont he list.  X-Men have had more than their fair share of figures over the years as far as I'm concerned.  That being said, I'd take some better known figures over Iron Fist or Ronin.  I'm also not a big fan of the Punisher, but he seems to be popular with the toy makers for some reason.

Time to fire Mangini. I hope they lose next week against Miami.

And I hope they win.

(And I feel dirty for saying it)

I don't think any team any where deserves to go winless.  I've been rooting for the Lions for the last month now, for all the good it's done them.   :P

Reading through the forums over at AFI, and it looks like Mattel is gauging collector reaction to some potential 2-packs for 2009 (including some harder to find figures from DCSH).  They have offered them to online retailers to see the preorder numbers (you can see a pic of the Batman/Clayface pack at BBTS).  Anyways, here's the proposed lineup (more details at the AFI linky):
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Batman vs Clayface

Batman will be in his black and gray costume with "mud splatter" effects. Clayface will be an exact reissue of this hard to find figure.

Superman vs Brainiac

This is proposed as a standard Superman figure (Eradicator head on the Wave 6 Superman body with red heat vision eyes) vs. Classic Brainiac (green head) with an all new head and coller piece. Brainic will come armed with Luthor's gun from the 2007 figure.

Supergirl vs. Luthor

This will be a reissue of the Blue outfit Kara Supergirl and the power suit Lex, but perhapes with a little surprise in the accessories!

Golden Age Hawk Pack

Two new figures to start your golden age collection.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They don't sound too bad to me really, taking into consideration that most of the 2 packs will usually contain a repacked/"tweaked" figure.

These sound awful.  I will pass on all of them.  Since when are Batman and Superman hard to find figures from DCSH?  They should re-release Catwoman, Batgirl, Nightwing, etc.

Two superbowl wins in other leagues today and my third depends on Ryan Grant getting 50 combined yards or more.  Come on Packers!

Mo' Kudos to Jay for meeting up with me to hand over the White Vader Comic Pack and Wave 3 figs tonight.  Jay's transport service easily rivals that of the Falcon - we were able to avoid any Imperial entanglements despite my poor parking job.  ;D

Gimme a ******* break.  "You can only give it to a guy so many times"?  You mean the guy who scored 7 touchdowns in the preceding two weeks?  A goalline stand by a D that prevents a running back from scoring invalidates any attempts for the rest of the game?  Shake yer head.  I'm happy you won your games in other leagues, but honestly, do you think your logic stands up in the real world?  Go look at a game on tv and see your conclusion fail miserably.  Inability to score?  Sure, ok.   ::)

Um...it was a joke Brent.   :-*

On a serious note, they did give it to him at the 2 and I was surprised he didn't get it again at the 1, but the clock was running down and I don't think they wanted to risk a running play.  They never got that close again int he 3rd and didn't need to wear him out playing him in the 4th quarter.  It sucks, but it happens I guess.  Maybe the coaching staff figured he had gotten more than his share of the action the last few weeks and wanted to get other players involved?  Or maaaaybe it was just my mojo hex on him that ruined his luck for the week.
