The Legacy Collection '08-'10 / Re: TOY FAIR 2008
« on: January 5, 2008, 11:51 AM »
If there really is a BAF initiative underway,, then I'm most anxious to hear about this.  30 figures is a pretty big requirement, so hopefully this is really multiple BAFs.  :o

Looks like a cool set, though I'm a little bummed that it will probably cost $20 for two figs and two mini-vehicles.  The usual BPs have 5 characters - I'd much rather get three more figs than two hoth Speederbikes.   :P

Yeah, but we got a similar treatment with the Wal-Mart Exc. "Treachery on Saleucami" BP. That one was $20.

I didn't really think that one was worth $20 either.  :-\  At least it came with two "new" figures and was the first of its kind.  I wonder if the two troops will be identical?  If so, maybe I can live with just getting one loose and splitting the pack with someone.  ;)

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Clone Wars or The Force Unleashed?
« on: January 4, 2008, 10:08 PM »
For me, Clone Wars gets the edge over TFU.  I like that it was mentioned in the movies, but I'm also into all the EU stuff.  I don't think TFU is that much of a stretch...it has been mentioned in multiple sources that both Vader and the Emperor secretly used other force sensitive apprentices.  Vader was looking for an apprentice to overthrow Palpy, and Palpy had other apprentices available should Vader need to be replaced (Hello, Mara Jade anyone?).

I think its a cool concept, as is the Vector cross-timeline story just starting up in the Dark Horse comics.  But at the end of the day, the Clone Wars is just a cooler concept.  An army of Jedi and and clones equipped for countless battle situations? Fighting a plethora of different droids? Local armies on both sides?  Can't get much cooler than that.  Unless of course, everything is release in skittles color variations.   ::)

I picked up a few extra at $35, which feels like a pretty good bargain.  $12 is ridiculous!

Maybe you can give Target the difference as a donation for their school charity thing?

Um....the difference between what?  Looks to me like I already overpaid.   ???

Can't believe people are finding this for $12.  Amazing.   :o

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: The Transformers Live Action Movies

Lots of new unique robots in Transformers 2 says Bay.

I suppose we'll be seeing lots of new soda dispensers, cell phones, and ipods in the sequel rather than more of the original lineup or god forbid a combiner/gestalt.   :-\

....just thought I'd throw some bad karma before I start hearing everybody trash the sequel.

I think it sounds promising.  At least they're not rehashing the guys that were wiped out.  Still thought the first one was funnier (in a good way) than the previews let on.   I just hope they keep that same tone for the next one!

Does anyone have a Luke Snowspeeder Pilot they don't want from the set?  I'd like to add one to my Rebel Pilot display.  Hmmm... maybe the AT-ST too since I don't have a modern one.  :)

I may have a spare of each for you if you still need them.   8)

Hall of Justice / Re: DC Universe Classics Wave 1

I found a set of these last night at the Coon Rapids/Riverdale Target in Minnesota.  I was only going to buy Batman and Orion but I ended up buying the rest too.  Very cool figures.

Saw the whole set at the Crystal, MN Target a few days ago as well, but nothing in the wave worth buying for me.   :-\

MP Starscream in stock at WM.com

About ******* time.  ::) Anyway, I have one on its way to me now, just before I bit the bullet on ebay.  :)

Thanks for the tip on this!  I've been wanting one of these, but had given up hope, since I rarely get out to an actual Wal-Mart store.  I did the ship to store delivery - what a great feature!

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: 30AC Wave 8 - Attack of the Clones

As for chest size, Natalie Portman isn't big in that area, so I think it's fine. I recall that NP made some comment about the breast size of her AotC Arena Battle action figure on David Letterman being flattering.

I'm not saying she needs to be a McFarlane DD cup, but she essentially has no chest in that outfit.  Look at This picture and tell me if you think the action figure does her justice.   ;)

Bong!

ULTRA RARE !! MEDICOM KUBRICK Star Wars 5 Pack

Ouch!  $300?!  That's insane.  I really want a snowtrooper, but I'm not paying anything close to that to get one.   :P

Vintage Kenner / Re: Price range of Blue Snaggletooth?
« on: December 28, 2007, 09:11 PM »
Well, I finally went nuts and pulled a Buy It Now. $114 for a Blue Snaggletooth w/ gun.

 :-X

Good quality, boots are clean. Glad I can stop thinking about it.

Ugh.  Nice find, but sucks to have to break a Benjamin for one.  Like you said, I'm sure its nice to have it out of the way.  This is the only vintage fig I'm still missing.   :-\
