How about redesigning the photo archives?  Group items up under the lines they were in, etc.

Just a thought...right now it's the only reason I might go over to RS from time to time.

Or partnering with some other site that already has really good photo archives... ;)

Anyone got a leftover Anakin or Amidalla from this wave?  If so, please shoot me a PM.

Thanks!
Justin

There is a spot on the bottom shelf at a couple of Targets in MN now. SW is the last thing in the aisle now too instead of the first.

You mean there is a dedicated location with a price tag for these in the shelves?  I sure hope so.  I checked Target.com and didn't see these available anymore.   :-X

I've got a sponsor suggestion.  With so many people ordering Kubricks from NCS, I wonder if you might want to make them a sponsor.  Would also be neat to have a sponsor section/thread so we can easily get to those sponsors from JD instead of going there on our own.   ;)

That's pretty interesting...

"Sobek's ambiguous nature led some Egyptians to believe that he was a repairer of evil that had been done, rather than a force for good in itself, for example, going to Duat to restore damage done to the dead as a result of their form of death. He was also said to call on suitable gods and goddesses required for protecting people in situation, effectively having a more distant role, nudging things along, rather than taking an active part."

Thanks to all for the tips.  I just ordered my series 10 and Fett Collection from National Console - hope they come through!

I'm not so sure about that.  My theory is that Jacob is God and the other one trying to kill him is the Devil.  The Devil put a plan in motion where he was able to manipulate everyone so he could get Ben into the base of the statue to kill Jacob.

However, Jacob went through the world and touched the lives of the people he would need to fix things and save himself.

Damn, it's going to be a long wait until February!   >:(

That's pretty much my theory on this as well, though I'm not sure that it's God and the Devil.  I thought the statue looked kind of Egyptian, so maybe two different "Gods" or immortals or something.  It seemed to me like he was there for very pivotal times in everyone's lives that helped shape who they become (influencing Kate's morals, Helping Sawyer write his letter and influencing his "Done is Done" philosophy, etc.)  The only interaction I thought was strange was the talk with Jack.  It didn't seem like he did anything other than get him a candy bar, but maybe I missed something, or maybe Jack was already on the right path?

The return of the front page news will be fantastic if the reporting is anywhere close to what we see on sites like Han's Hideout.  More contests are always a plus as well!

I'd love to have some kind of comrehensive photo archive or even just a reference to tell me which figs are new vs. repacks or if something is a kitbash, where did the parts come from.

One thing that always comes to mind when I think about JD is the loyal Kubrick following.  I'm wondering if there is someway to make this more ownable and regularly featured.  I love the checklist/guide that Jesse built.

I'd like to see a section titled something like "Here's how it works" from Jeff.  I read a lot of posts/debates/complaints on here about why there is a Legends line or why certain figures are made or shy they don't have better articulation/accessories/etc.  Jeff usually has some pretty good insight on most of these that I think some of us may not have thought about.  Some kind of weekly column/insight/rant from Jeff would be both fun and enlightening.

That's it for now - looking forward to whatever you guys come up with because I know it will be good!

They're going to keep Dollhouse, but ditch Terminator?  Really?!  Well, that frees up another 42 minutes per week for me...

Well, I have never seen him act, but he's a great match for Thor's face from the pic that was posted.

Congrats guys on the new ownership.

Thanks to Chris for a great six years.  I came in early 2003 and never left (sorry).

Okay these are too easy.  Will the new owners please reopen the out of context thread!?   ;)

Kubricks / Re: Kubrick Newbies - Questions and Advice

Okay, so I don't consider myself to be a Kurick noob exactly, but definitely not the hard core collector that most of the Kubie fans here at JD are.  I have picked up pretty much all of the "basic" regular series figures at this point and was thinking of trying to track down some of the harder to find chases.

I checked out Evilbay, but ran into two issues: #1 - I can't tell what's real and what's a fake.  Seems like figures like a Han Stormtrooper might be pretty easy to fake.  #2 - there really isn't much of the older stuff out there right now.  Anyone know of a good source to buy some of the older chases?  I'm not looking to get the really expensive ones, but items like the Hong Kong Cantina Band Member and Han in Stormtrooper disguise seem like possibilities.

Lastly, is there a thread dedicated to showing the best deal on future pre-orders?  I'm totally confused on the best way to go about ordering S10 or the upcoming Fett set.  I've pretty much either picked up a box or leftovers from someone else's cases in the past.  Not looking to get a master case myself, but I might be game for picking up a box if anyone needs someone to split costs.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Well, I'm happy to say that's definitely not what I expected!  Big thanks to Chris for making the site what it is and I'm excited to see what Jeff and Paul will do with it going forward.  Yay!   ;D
