You went to a new/remodeled store didn't you? Let me guess the one in Medina?

yeah, you can only get ripped off like that at Medina or Knollwood...the Target closest to my house and closest to my work.   :-\

I picked up a set of Battle Droids at Target the other day - just $7.64 for the two pack.   >:(  How is it that TAC sells for $6.99, but rehashed Legends cost $7.64?

Absolutely.  I got into a fight with a seller about 6 months ago about this.  I bought a custom figure for about $20 and the guy wanted $26 to ship.  He did have this stated in the auction, but it was hidden in two pages of description and not posted under actual shipping rates.  His excuse, which he sent in an email to me, was that he upped his shiping to pay for raw materials & his blood and sweat in making the custom.  He said he didn't build those costs into an Ebay reserve price because he wanted to avoid the additional Ebay fees.

I refused to pay $46 for a custom figure that I bid $20 on, so I fought this with Ebay and forwarded all of his communication to them.  They have a policy that Shipping can not include any costs that are unrelated to shipping.  You'd think they would side with me based on the guy cheating them out of not only a reserve fee, but their % take on an additional $26 in cost, but they didn't push back on the seller at all.  I ended up not having to pay, but the guy was able to leave me negative feedback and I was not able to leave feedback for him at all.   >:(

I think this is an issue for Ebay to resolve - they can't verify if sellers are really shipping something for $6 when they charge $8, but these obvious chargs like $12 for a loose figure are pretty obvious.  If they don't do anything about, I think they should expect to see purchasing decline significantly over the next year.

According to the latest rumors, Samuel Jackson may be making an appearance in the Iron Man movie, playing Nick Fury.  It is likely a cameo, and obviously based on the Marvel Ultimate version, but interesting news if it turns out to be true.

Booo!  I like Sam Jackson, but would much rather see the movie follow the Marvel storyline vs. the Ulimates.  How is it that books like Avengers have been around for 30+ years, but Marvel gos and makes cartoon movies for the ultimate  Avengers?!  Boooo!  Drop Jackson and give The Hoff an eye patch if you want a good Nick Fury.

Have any of my fellow ML collectors found Wave 2 variants at retail yet?  Targets around here are just starting to get the regular assortments of W2 in.

I think you're right on the mark Brent that kids could really care less what size the figure is.  The kid is psyched for the Spidey movie (or whatever movie) and wants the Spider-Man.  I don't think they necessarily care if it is 3 3/4" or 6" or whatever.

I totally disagree with that.  Maybe if this is a kid's first few action figure...then I could see them not caring about size.   But you can't tell me that you wouldn't care if you were a kid buying vintage Star Wars 25-30 years ago and 10 figures in, Kenner changed the size to an inch or two bigger or smaller.  Any kid worth his salt would have playability problems with a Venom that's 3/4 the size of his Spiderman.

Belated happy Father's Day to those applicable.

Thanks!  No Star Wars from the kids, but I did get to spend a few minutes downstairs playing with my toys for a change.   ;)

Not really feeling it but then again i didnt like the new batmobile at first.

The new Batman vehicles always have such huge wheels...feels like Batsy is trying to over compensate for something... ;D

I still dont have the latest box set and there dont seem to be that many around, i am not sure but thats not a good sign. I hope there is some kind of announcement.

Someone just posted that BBTS has the box set back up for pre-order. I don't have a lot of experience with them, but I wouldn't expect to see this unless they had some level of confidence in getting the product at some point down the road.

Weird.  Has anyone gotten a reply from BBTS about this set?  I shot them an email a few weeks back, but never got a response.
