What I'm buyining in '07:

Any ships and figures in the 3 & 3/4" line.  Generally one to open and one in the package.  Ships I buy just one of and keep them in the package.  I have been troop building for a while, but will likely hold back on some of that based on what is coming out/increased prices.

I've picked up the core figures and cheaper variations through Wave 7, but not sure how many more of these I'm going to buy.  I expected to get the Exclusive 5 pack with Snowtrooper from BBTS, so when they didn't come through, that sort of killed this line for me.  That and the future waves consisting of prequel figs has me avoiding this line for the forseeable future.

I pick up pretty much all versions of the Avengers figures, which is a nice way to just get one or two of each fig from each line.  I already have a custom Black Knight that's better than the Wave 3 one in my opinion (and has his flying horse), so I'm set on these for a while.  Wave 4 has Tigra, but I just got a great custom of her as well.  I might get a few of the FF & hulk figures - I think most of these look pretty cool.  Valkrye and Invisible Woman are the two I'm most looking forward to.

I mainly just buy the Alternators, which a couple of the TFormers Classics figs.  The classics bumblebee fits well with the bigger alternators in bot mode, so I got him and cliffjumper.  Not sure if I'll get the next wave of these, but they look good from the picks.

I'll pick up one or two of these depending on what else comes out, but rarely is it a planned purchase with these figs.  Too far behind in articulation for me.

I think that's enough to put me into significant debt over the next year or two.   ;)

Still pissed at HTS for stealing my Rodiums out of my cart, least they gave me a 3 minute window before he was gone  :'(

Anyone else seen the pics for the rest of the movie line/classics/universe/toon?

I didn't see this - thanks for posting!  All of the classics figs look good to me - sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Octane!  Not impressed by the Allspark crap or the animated figures - I'll pass on those.  I'm very dissapointed to see no Alternators in the lineup - is this line dead?

Okay, fantasy drafts are coming up and I have the #6 pick.  I'm taking a RB, so who are your top 6 in a TD-only league?  I currently think it will fall as follows:

L. Tomlinson
S. Jackson
L. Johnson
S. Alexander
R. Johnson
F. Gore/L. Maroney (one of these two is a keeper in our league, as is J. Addai)

Okay, I finally saw it today and I have to say, I thought it was a great flick.  I wish the robot modes had stayed true to the 80's and had some trouble following the robot on robot action sequences, but overall I had a lot of fun.  The transforming noises and special effects were great, good plot, plenty of action - definitely worth the $7.  It was also a lot funnier than I realized - I was cracking up every 5 minutes or so at the jokes.  Definitely set up for a sequel, so I can't wait to see what they do next!

I'm so-so on this wave.  Waiting for it to grow on me.  I really like the new 2-1B, the rest I could take or leave.

Any sightings of W4 yet?  Its been a real lull around Minneapolis the last month.   :-\

Same here in St. Paul  ;)

Nice.  I bet Minneapolis gets the new stuff first...

For the price, I'll stick pick these up at some point, but I'm with most of you - not overly impressed with the set.  Neat idea to do the heads of the design team, but they totally should have gone with more rough features.  Heck, use the same heads, but give them a scar and paint them unshaven or something.  Nice to have removeable helmets and some new Mandys, but they couldn't done this so much better.  i don't mind the shadow repaints of Omega Squad and the arcs, but again was hoping for something more than this.  I'm reeeeealy tired of the whole repaint strategy they have going on right now.  Let's take every figure and just give them different colors!  I would have been more happy with 3-4 stealth guys and a few clones in training or something.  Not a fan of the bantha skull clones either.

Again, for the price, I think the set overall is worth it, but just unhappy that they didn't do more...

The Cannonball/Domino pairing makes some sense, but why Marvel Girl and Cable?

She could be considered his mother.  Technically, Madeline Pryor is Cable's mother, but since Maddy is a clone of Jean, close enough.

I get the remote connection, but still seems like an odd pairing to me.

Mouse/Able - no idea who these guys are, so I have no excitement for them.

Rebel forces that don stromtrooper gear to infiltrate an Imp base.  I think this was from earlier issues of the Rebellion comic series that came out a year or two ago.

As a novel and comic reader, I'm happy with all of these.  Amazing to see some of these figs getting made - I would never have guessed mouse and able would make their way to plastic!

I guess I'm not surprised by BBTS's announcement, just surprised it took this long for them to confirm what we've been speculating for a while now.

Sucks for those who were waiting, but I guess it's another case of "if it sounds too good to be true..."

Well, I'm bummed that I'm not getting them for the BBTS price, but I wouldn't have paid much more than that for the set anyway, so I don't feel too bad about this.  Sucks for the hard core Kubie buyers, but I already feel ripped off at $10 per figure.   :-\

This makes me think. If comic books are such great fodder for movies, why are comic book shops so few and far between? I've been looking for a comic book shop in my area. Everytime I get an address, it turns out the place closed. Heck, were do you even buy comic books anymore? Borders? Walmart?

I get my single issues at Borders, although I've stopped buying multiple single issues and am focusing on building up my TPB collection. I think the last single issue I bought was Amazing Spiderman #541. When given the oppurtunity, I will also rummage through yard sales for older single issues. I've found some pretty cool finds through garage/yard sales.

Minneapolis has two Hot Comics stores, which I would highly recommend for anyone in the area.  I've seen a lot of these places go under, but there's usually at least one halfway decent one in each decent sized city I've ever visited.  I was just out in Albuquerque New Mexico and they even had a couple of good stores.  Try checking the internet as well as local phone books.
