Son of a bitch...

"Assortment may contain special chase variant "Bounty Hunt" figures. "Bounty Hunt" figures are not guaranteed to appear in all assortments. "

Now, WTF does that mean...  >:(

Saga Collection '06 / TSC Variations and Errors Thread
« on: December 29, 2005, 05:51 PM »
OK, so not even counting the mini-holo variations that are out there, I've started to read about some variations in the Carkoon figures...

First up - the Stands.

Apparently someone at Hasbro had a bit of trouble with the word "Boushh".  It seems like there are both Boussh abd Boushh variants out there for Leia and Chewie's stands.   ::)

I guess it's OK for the carded folks since you can't see the stands in the bubble, but for you loose error collectors, you got something to do.

Second, on Boba Fett -

I've now seen him with the "flames" in the front of his legs and the "flames" packed behind his legs:

Way to go Hasbro!   ::)

Guess I have to start a thread since I can't find one...  :)

Got a lightning fast payment from the Glassman.  We closed our deal and I had payment like 15minutes later!  Now that's what I like in a deal!   ;)

LEGO / 2006 Jabba's Sail Barge
« on: October 27, 2005, 09:49 AM »
Just read a LEGO press release in my e-mail in-box this morning which had this to say:

"LEGO Star Wars(TM) has become one of the best-selling lines in global company history, and continues in 2006 with seven new playsets representing vehicles from the entire saga, including the B-Wing Fighter(TM) and Jabba the Hutt(TM)'s Sail Barge. "

As a fan of the LEGO Mega-sets, this is one I will no doubt have to pick up!

edit:
You can read the whole press release HERE.  It's mostly about the new Bat-LEGOs (yep, Batman LEGOs  ;D), but the line I mentioned above is included.   ;)

My first deal with Mike and everything has gone smoothly.

Super-fast payment for loot I'm sending him means it's a good deal in my book!

Thanks again and your loot is on it's way!   ;)

Watto's Junk Yard / When Snakes Attack
« on: October 6, 2005, 04:14 PM »
I really wasn't sure where to put this, but I couldn't let it go without bringing it up for those that missed it (I saw it on the news last night).

It's the carcass of a six-foot American alligator protruding from the mid-section of a 13-foot Burmese python after the snake apparently swallowed the alligator and burst resulting in the deaths of both animals.

Python Bursts After Trying to Eat Gator

Stuff like this is what makes animals so cool - man, that snake had balls to try to eat an alligator.  Wow, just wow.   :o

Didn't see a feedback thread, so I guess I'll have to start one here at JD...

Had my first trade with Mitch.  He set me up with one of his cool custom table and chair sets:

Very cool unique piece to add a bit more "wow" to my cantina set-up.  Thanks again for the trade!   :)

JD Sports Forum! / JD Fantasy Basketball 2005
« on: September 25, 2005, 07:56 PM »
Well, since it appears I have time to play this year and the "other" league is full, I thought I'd start a second league.   :)

The league will be scored with a rotisserie scoring system for ten categories:

Field Goals Made
Free Throws Made
3-PT Shots Made
Total Points
Offensive Rebounds
Defensive Rebounds
Assists
Steals
Blocked Shots
Turnovers

The rosters have 12 active players as follows:
PG
SG
PF
SF
C
Utility
Utility
five Bench Positions

In addition, there will be one injure reserve spot to accomodate injured super-stars.

Invitations are open to ALL JediDefender Members except for those I choose to disallow for obvious reasons.   :-X  To join, post here and I'll send you a PM with all the details on how you can join...

Jeff

ps.
The draft order will be determined by one of two methods, according to the results of a league vote:

1 - If Yahoo Live Draft is chosen, we will use a random order determined by Yahoo.

2 - If a JD Forum based draft is chosen, the draft order will be chosen by a neutral third-party staff member of JediDefender.

I see that Hasbro updated today with news of the Titanium Series Ultra line, starting with the X-Wing and Gunship.  I'm guessing these are just larger versions, is that right?  If so, I might just wait and get a few from this line, depending on price.

In case you didn't read the story when Hasbro originally posted in back on August 26th, you can read it at Hasbro.com again today.

Nothing like re-posting an old story (word-for-word) and pretending it's something new...  ::)
