Star Wars Trade Federation AAT Vehicle

They also have the Star Wars Darth Vader's Sith Starfighter Vehicle listed, but no pictures yet...

Yeah, all of my iTunes music is still stored on my PC at home (and backed-up to my old PC that is now just being used as a fancy extra drive).

I bought my iPod in July of 2004, so I've had it for almost 2 years now.  In those 2 years, it has been used constantly - 4-6 hours every weekday at a minimum.   ;)

I guess it was going to happen eventually... my iPod died.  :'(

I was sitting at work yesterday mindlessly droning through the corporate day, when my iPod starting acting "quirky".  I was listening to my music in shuffle mode when suddenly, in the middle of "Personal Jesus", my iPod skipped ahead to the next song.  I thought it was strange, but just figured it was a mis-fire.

In the middle of the next song, "Dust in the Wind", the same thing happened - about 30 second into the song we jumped ahead.  Then, the third song, "indifference" stopped after 15 seconds...

The songs got shorter and shorter until my iPod was randomly shuffling songs after playing only 1 second of music.   ???

So now my iPod is stuck in an endless loop playing only 1 second of music and then skippnig ahead - powering off doesn't work, plugging in the power cord to recharge doesn't work, so finally I do the old "hard reset".  That causes my iPod to enter an endless "start-shutdown" cycle.   ::)

So, again, I go with the "menu&select" buttons to reset the iPod.  The iPod restarts this time without automatically shutting down.  I'm thinking I finally have it until I see this moster pop up:

www.apple.com/support/iPod

And then it powers down.  Every time I turn it on, I get this little screen of death with the folder pic and that web address.  So, I waited until I got home from work last night and then jumped into the apple site to see if I could repair my little 'Pod.

I tried just about everything they recommended on the 5 Rs page- reset the iPod, restarting the iPod, retrying the iPod on USB instead of fire-wire, re-installed the iPod software, restored the iPod factory settings.

Finally, the full re-installation of the iPod software and the full factory restore seemed to work.  I turned my iPod on and it worked!  On comes the main menu and... no music.

Yep, all the music had been deleted from my iPod.  Ugh.  So, I go to reload all 2750+ songs back onto my iPod when I am greeted with this little image:

And nothing.  I tried manually forcing my iPod nto disk mode and then going through the FULL reinstall of the iPod software and the FULL restore three more times, and every time I get to the stage where I try to upload the music to my iPod and it crashes all over again... with some error message that I do not have permission to write to that drive popping up on my PC.

Actually, I seem to remember a LOT of people who had trouble finding a bunch of different figures at the tail end of 2003.

As hard as it is to believe, this figure was indeed one that was "hard to find" for quite a few people out there.  I remember quite a few threads at RS where this figure was showing up on people's "most wanted" lists.   :o

Does that mean they should be re-releasing the 2003 version him now?  Uh... no.    They should have just retooled ROTS head onto that Ep1 Darth Sidious figure - now that was actually a pretty cool Emperor figure.

Let's see...

57 x $39.95 = $2,277.15 minimum to buy the lead

Think they want it bad enough to drop $2500 on it?

The Wookiee Arcade / Re: Star Wars: Empire At War
« on: May 10, 2006, 10:19 AM »
I picked up the game a couple weeks ago, but only had a little time to play so far...

I worked my way through the tutorials to get started and then started up as the Empire.  Only made it through the first part so far (Thyferria?), but I am loving this game so far.

So already an expansion pack being mentioned?

Seems fast, but a good sign that this game is doing well.

The Official Site posted a nice trailer for the expansion - very cool!

Up until the first Playstation, I had pretty much everything - PS, Sega Genesis, N64, SNES, NES, and some other stuff mixed in there too.  For some reason, I never bought a Dreamcast... then I skipped the PS2... then the X-Box, etc.

I just don't have as much time to devote to video games as I did back in the olden days... funny that my gaming decreased just as my "dorky star wars website" career started up.  :P

Anyway, yeah - PS3 is cool and all but I'm saving my cash for the Revolution... er, Wii.

Other tidbits:

Zelda: Twilight Princess will come in two flavors: GameCube and Wii, and both will be available day-and-date with the Wii, on the Wii launch.  This is huge.

Sweet... that means my GameCube isn't quite obsolete yet.   :)

The PS3 intrigues me (as did the XBox, the Xbox360, and PS2 before it), but I think when it comes down to it, I'm a Nintendo guy.

I love Zelda.
I love Mario/Luigi/et al.
I love Samus.
I love DK.

I'm more of a recreational gamer than a hard-core d00d.  Sure, I miss out on "cool" games now and again, but junk like BMXXX or Halo or GTA or RE or whatever isn't really my thing anyway...   I'm much happier with my Nintendo fare.

And hey - if you haven't played any version of Mario Party as a drinking game, you are totally missing out.

So, until I can get some Mario love on the PS3, I'll have to pass...

Holo Ki-Adi-Mundi is starting to warm up the pegs at every Target near me.  He was selling well a few weeks ago, but slowly he's multiplying -

- two weeks ago, there was just 2 of them hanging on the pegs...
- then last week, it was 4...
- and now this week, there's 5...

No boredom for me since I'm still trying to finish my set of carded UGHs.

Both my wallet and I would be happy to get a break...   ;)
