I see Julius Marx has some pretty good Marvel/Toy Biz coverage up now:

Nice to see that Hydro-Man comes with legs too and not just a water spout:

Also nice to see a de-iced Bobby Drake (I'm a sucker for figures of the original 5 X-Men):

My apologies gang, but due to some strange events (like the flu and a 18" snowstorm), we won't be able to send our crew into NYC to cover the event.  After a day of trying to rearrange scedules and make it work, it looks like it's just not going to pan out at this point...  :(

Yeah, someone here said they were ball jointed knees on 3PO - that's clearly not the case.  They are a hinge joint like GI Joe figures.  That's better than nothing though!

Here's a great picture of C-3PO's Knees - definitely just hinge joints, but that is fine with me!   :)

I'm lovin' the endor wave. Too bad no tease for the Deathstar wave. :P

Yeah, too bad there were no teasers for the Naboo wave either - I'm looking forward to the Pod Racer Pilots, hope Ben Quadrineros is one!

Woot!  News from Toy Fair on these...

Looks like Sideshow will be able to distribute these in the USA.

Maybe now I'll be able to grab a few of these and not have to pay the huge eBay prices on them!   ;D

Yes, one of those two.  I keep trying to figure out who in the OT was referred to as a "project".  I'm probably imagining a clue there...

A project, eh?  Like an assembly project?  Like after you've been exploded and had to be a construction project for a wookiee?  That'd be the same protocol unit who like to say "Oh my!" as he said it in both in ANH (refring to Tusken) and RotJ (referring to being given to Jabba).

That ought to fuel your speculation for a while...  ;)

they don't show exclusives at Toy Fair.

That is true, they don't usually show exclusives there... the toy Fair report that the purple one is Kit's could certainly be wrong.  Would make sence that the purple one at Toy Fair is Mace's which will be everywhere along with Vaders TIE and Anakin's ship.  Guess we still need to wait and see...

Hasbro press release says they will be doing 3" scale Transformers in the Titanium Series AND 6" Titanium Transformers that actually transform?   :o

"Throughout the year, the TITANIUM SERIES universe will continue to expand with the addition of vehicles and figures from TRANSFORMERS...

... to be introduced in July 2006, will include a variety of unique 3” robots as well as fully changeable 6” robots. Each one comes with a display base. "

Should be interesting to see how they turn out.

I guess at that I'll pick up the Cylon, if I see it, simply to have the anomaly in the line and I don't know where else to get a 3.75" Cylon.

Should be out around March according to Hasbro:

"The TITANIUM SERIES Battlestar Galactica line will be available in June 2006 and will include 3” vehicles and 3.75” figures from both the classic and new TV series. "

Also to note (not to get too off topic), but they will be adding Titanium Series Transformers!   :o

And, since the rumor mill was right about Bossk/Sandtrooper being Wave 2, I guess we can expect IG-88 and a Clone Trooper in wave 3.

I guess so.  Pictures of IG-88 and Clone Trooper (501st Variety) have shown up in the Toy Fair pictures.

IG-88

Man, I don't like this line and I'm not planning on buying it, but IG-88 looks pretty killer...

So, it's a Purple Ep3 version, eh?

As much as I like that Ep3 ship, I'll pass and save my $20 to spend on more basic figures.

It is cool looking though...

Saga Collection '06 / Re: ROTS Greatest Hits Wave on SAGA cards
« on: February 11, 2006, 09:27 PM »

Wow... so they are really re-releasing these on Saga Cards?   ???

Huh.  Don't get me wrong, I'll probably buy them since I like carded figures (or rather my OCD likes them), but I don't think we really needed to see a couple of them again...

- Yoda? Isn't he already in the Senate Pod Battle Pack and Geonosis wave?  ???
- Explodo-Grievous?  Isn't the Target version and the Coruscant wave version enough?  ???
- #2 Anakin?  Isn't the Coruscant wave version w/Cloak enough?   ???
- Vader?  The Hoth wave Vader is being shipped in the Hoth, Geo, Coruscant, AND the Tatooine wave, and now a Vader in this wave too?  ???

The Clones are cool to re-release (everyone loves army builders) and Mace and Chewie are probably OK too since they are good sellers, but dang I am sick of Vader/Yoda/Anakin/Obi-Wan/Grievous.
