Two MIN vs WPG games so far...  1-1 split with 17 goals scored.  So much for all that "tough, low scoring games" talk. :P

Yeah,  I still need R4-D23 too from the D23 expo.

Maybe Paul will be able to help us with this one...?  ;D

If it hasn't been announced by now, it won't be until 12/18.  We'll probably have to wait for leaked cases to turn up in Asia to find out what's in them...

Picked up PZ, Guavian Enforcer, Goss, and Hux via HTS, so I think I'm sort of caught up now. I can't remember, do we know of any other announced figures at this point?

That info is still embargoed.  Online shops are taking pre-orders for Jungle/Space Wave 3 and Desert/Snow Wave 3, but they are not supposed to reveal contents yet...

Terrible move making Finn the carryover from wave 1, as there were dozens of Finns on the shelf.

A-yep.  An extra Phasma, Stormtrooper, Guavian, Kylo, even Rey is tough to find.  But let's make more of the really generic looking guy that no one is buying.  Awesome.

Is this where I point out that Finn is coming again in Wave 3?   :-X

TV-9D9 / Re: Star Wars Rebels - Season 2 (Spoilers)

Filoni actually dropped a hint in Rebels Recon about the Grand Inquisitor (the Pau'an who was voiced by Jason Isaacs).  He said that we had actually seen him in episode(s) of CLONE WARS.  I know that some Pau'an's did appear in CLONE WARS, including some of those episodes that only existed in storyboard form.  But is it possible that he was one of the Force sensitive infants that was taken by Darth Sidious?

Would he be too old though to have been an taken as a infant during TCW?

If Rebels is set about 14 years after ROTS, I don't think any of those infants would be old enough to be The Inquisitor, would they?  I guess they could since we don't know his age, but it seems unlikely to me unless The Inquisitor was a lot younger than I thought.

One theory I saw a long time ago was about the resemblance between The Son and The Inquisitor...  thought that's probably just a coincidence because they have similar white heads with red markings.

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out...

Sounds like Tamashii has a LOT of new figures on display at the Tamashii Nations 2015 exhibit.  Unfortunately, lots of "no photos allowed" signs everywhere so it's hard to find nice pics so far.

Yakface has a pic of Chewbacca, Han, and Luke.  There are also samples of AOTC Obi-Wan, Jango Fett, Grievous as well as prototypes for Mace Windu, Super Battle Droid, a Geonosis BD repaint and a few others that haven't been quite leaked yet.

Some new pics and info on the Tamashii Nations 2015 S.H.Figuarts Shadow Stormtrooper.

Reading some tweets from Tamashii, it sounds like this guy's daily allotment sold out very quickly when the show opened last night (our time).

Just a reminder not to go get one on ebay just yet as more will be available from Tamashii's web store later in the year and that should help the price come back down a bit.

If you're having trouble finding this set, don't worry.  It's actually supposed to go out on November 1st.

I thought it was later in the month?  The pre-Black Friday catalog says available 11/15.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Super Hero / Comic Book TV Development
« on: October 28, 2015, 11:22 AM »
We watched it last night.  Not great, not terrible. Definitely trying to be a "fun" show - much more "Adventures of Lois and Clark" than Arrow or Gotham.

I'll give it a few more tries to see if it gets better now that the set-up pilot stuff is out of the way.

I'm also bothered that they chose "Kara Danvers" as her name.  I'm not a big DC guy, but I believe it's supposed to be Linda Lee Danvers or Kara Zor-El.

Kara Zor-El is her true name.  Kara Danvers is her secret/earth identity name.  Yeah, comic Supergirl used Linda Danvers but I can understand simplifying that for TV and keeping the first name the same.

They even go so far as to call Kara "Agent Danvers" in one of the trailers, when Carol Danvers from marvel is referred to as "Agent Danvers" from SHIELD.  I call Shenanigans!

"Agent Danvers" on the show is actually Kara's adoptive sister Alex Danvers.  She works for the DEO, which is very much a DCU-style version of SHIELD.

And of course there are shenanigans.  There have been for years and years between DC and Marvel.  Of course DC is trying to cash in on the groundwork laid by Marvel movies.

Are they similar in name?  Sure, but that street goes both ways.  It's entirely possible that Marvel chose the last name "Danvers" for their new blond super-heroine in the late 60s because they were trying to copy Supergirl.  :P
