Hasbro sent out some new press shots calling this 2014 Wave 1, so yeah not until next year most likely...

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Cancelled The Clone Wars Toys :(
« on: October 31, 2013, 10:19 AM »
A lot of that stuff did get released though...  just with a slightly different name, like:

SW CW BASIC FIGURE RED LEADER 28529
= TCW 2010 Clone Commander Colt (Item#28529)

He went from 'RED LEADER' to 'Red Leader ARC Trooper' to 'Clone Commander Colt'.  And we even talked about this switch in the forums... ;)

Thanks, I guess they are calling him Red Leader ARC Trooper now?

And a few more, just for examples:

SW CW BATTLE PK AMBUSH IN THE OUTER RIM 94237
= TCW 2009 Target Ambush at Abregado Battle Pack (Item#94237)

SW CW BSC FIG BLUE ROYAL GUARD 91273
= 2009 Clone Wars Captain Argyus (Item#91273)

I think in the rush to get scoops out, sites may not have thouroughly vetted out some stuff that we did indeed get, just with a slightly different name.   :-\

In some ways, the list is a neat insight into how much things really changed on the fly.  There are assortment numbers in there for Vintage stuff that got cancelled, Droid Factory stuff that got cancelled, Clone Wars that got cancelled, etc.

Wish I had time to sit and sift through all the data and try to match up all the item numbers, but it's just too much.  I'll let someone with more time/energy go through that exercise. [Murtaugh]I'm too old for this ****[/Murtaugh].

Really makes me wonder what the line would have looked like if TPM3D and Disney hadn't ****** it all up.  :-\

Yeah, that was straight from the mouth of Derryl himself...

In the most recent Rebelscum Force Cast Collector Edition (Sept 2011), DePriest mentioned that they have a Nightsister called Mighella sculpted, and she could be released in the vintage line.

Man, it's crazy to watch this spread like wildfire across the internet.  I see some people not READING our forums/front page and just taking everything on the lists as NEW NEW NEW!!!!!  It's pretty obvious that these lists are a mix of A) stuff that's already been released, B) stuff we know has been cancelled, and C) stuff that *might* or *might not* be coming.

I downloaded the entire list from Hasbro's CS page (over 2700+ items!) and there are a LOT of things that are obviously cancelled items - like all these AMP'd things:
SW AMPD X-WING VS TIE FIGHTER PK 38714
SW AMPD JEDI STARFIGHTER PACK 38544
SW AMPD EPIII ANAKIN FIGHTR VULTRE DROID A0705
SW AMPD ACTION FIGURE VEHICLE AST A0852
SW AMPD ACTION FIGURE ASST A0855
SW AMPD AAT PACK 39605

And there are other things that we know for fact Hasbro mocked-up and then cancelled when they couldn't find a partner, like the Funeral Pyre Vader, which is buried in there -
SW VADER FUNERAL PYRE 91578

So, does that mean Funeral Pyre Vader is back on?  Or is he stll cancelled?  No idea.  Just take the list, speculate and enjoy.  Make it fun.  Don't take it as gospel or you're just setting yourself up for disappointment down the road. ;)

Man, so much info in there to process...  going to take a while for folks to flesh out what's new, what's cancelled, what's old.  Lots of digging through item numbers in our future I think.

I'm most intrigued by the vehicle listings, like:
SW EpVI A Wing Fighter with Han Solo A1932

Will be a long wait to find out if they're 3.75" scale or something else - Jedi Force, a return to Action Fleet, etc.

Star Wars Rebels / Re: Upcoming Rebels items?
« on: October 30, 2013, 04:01 PM »
That Holo Grievous is the Clone Wars one from 2008. (item #88560) and is not new...

New stuff has item/assortmen numbers in the Axxxx format now for the most part. ;)

Looks pretty good. I have no problems with them taking vast steps away from the way it was in the comics because they've already done that (Havok/Beast in one era, Cyclops/Jean in another, Iceman in a third, etc).  As long as it's a good story, I'll get over it not matching the comic version.

Jeff, I think the adjustment window is only around a week or so. Your best bet might be to buy new sets on sale, and return them with your original receipts.

That's what I was afraid of... I'll save $12 if I can get the price adjustment, but I could waste that much in gas driving to/from Kmart a couple times a week looking for them again over the next month.  I may just cut my losses and be glad I found them already.  :P

160
Anyone know offhand the price adjustment window for Kmart?  I bought the sets last Thursday (10/17) and can't recall if it's 14 days or less to get a price adjustment...  would be nice to just get an adjustment instead of having to track down new sets again at the sale price...

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars Episode VII
« on: October 24, 2013, 03:32 PM »
Arndt is confirmed as script writer

Lawrence Kasdan and director J.J. Abrams have assumed screenwriting duties for Ep7.

Other crew announcements/confirmations in the article...

The press release says "one million TELEPODS figures in consumers' hands around the globe" and "With one million TELEPODS figures in consumers' hands", so I'd guess that's retail sales not retailer orders.

A few other things to note.  First, it's one million globally, not just US sales. Second, the one million number TELEPODS includes both AB:SWII and AB:Go! Telepods sales.

The idea I think is that he is being slowly healed by a spirit of community. I don't see how it serves to move the plot forward if he starts going nuts again.

I kinda thought that was the point of Rick's talk with Hershel... Rick was wondering if "you can come back" and Herschel tells him, 'your son came back, you came back'.  I though that was them telling us that Rick was healed/healing from the tragedy of Lori's death, but I guess I can see how people read that as Rick still worried because he is still hallucinating things (camping lady).

Star Wars Rebels / Re: Star Wars Rebels - 5 POA Animated Style Figs
« on: October 14, 2013, 02:56 PM »
Here's another one from 2008 that basically spells out how the plan was to adjust the figures to create an animated/realistic hybrid design.
