Watto's Junk Yard / Re: The Walking Dead

And since when do zombies love fire more than brains?  I could see the sound and light distracting them momentarily - enough to save the group - but zombies just walk into fires?

This is part of what I was talking about at our mtg last night.  I really don't understand the zombie rules on this show anymore.  The zombies will either hear the tiniest noise and come, or you can whisper right next to them and they don't notice as long as you are wearing a dead meat poncho.

And the fire stuff?  I know they are attracted to light and heat, but is that enough to distract them when they are 5 feet from food?  I didn't get that part at all...  food, food, oh wait, I'll just walking into this fire now.   ???

I could totally see them doing a 6" X-wing for Episode 8.  I'm sure it won't be true to scale; it'll be more like the mini-X-wing, but in the 6" scale.  But it makes sense that would be next... assuming there is a "next" for the 6" mega-vehicles.

Post-Yeo: 3 games, 15 goals, 3 wins.  :D

Yeah, I know, it was a 3-game streak against terrible western Canada so I can't get too excited.  Still, it's nice to see actual Ws again.  Makes this weekend a little bit better.  Would have sucked balls to enter our big stadium series appearance with a 9 game losing streak or whatever.

Pretty excited for the weekend.  We've got tickets to the alumni game tomorrow and the big outdoor game on Sunday.  Should be fun! :)

New S.H.Figuarts Announcements - Heavy Gunner First Order Stormtrooper and ANH Luke Skywalker.

The Heavy Gunner is a nice addition, but holy cow - look at that Luke.  Amazing, especially when you compare him to Hasbro's floppy shirt ANH Luke.

Total different scenario here I guess, as the players bought into the system, but were stacked for offensive play and were being hemmed in their own end by their own bench crew.

Yeah, your coach brought a new system that handcuffed offenive, big time.  I saw these numbers for Sid:

Games before HCMJ: average point per game = 1.40
Games with HCMJ: average point per game = 0.98
Games after HCMJ: average point per game = 1.36

Gee, think HCMJ was the problem? :P

I can't always tell if I'm looking at a 6" figure or a 3.75" figure, but relied on "Legends" somewhere in the wording to identify the larger sizes.  Guess that's out the window now.  Do these companies do ANY research before making changes?   ???

I think it was at NYCC last October where they announced "Marvel Legends" would be the name for the MArvel collector line, for 3.75" and 6" (and now 12" too).  Kinda like "Black Series" = collector stuff for Star Wars.  Trying to brand it all together.

MOTU Figures are now up for pre-order at the Super7 store for $15 each or $60 for the set of 4.

The Black Series 3.75" Figures / Re: Walmart Black Series 3.75" Wave 4

I was shocked when I heard that Asty was even in the running for this line

If that information was derived more from the question than Hasbro's response, then you have to be very skeptical about Atsy's placement in the 3.75" Black Series.

I know it's been a while, but don't forget that Hasbro (or rather, someone in particular over there) has a huge foner (fan boner :)) for Rebel Pilots.

2013 = Biggs, 2014 = Dutch.  All those Evolutions and TRU Pilot packs.  The only thing Hasbro likes more than Clone Commanders is Rebel Pilots.  ;D

Since it has a cast list confirming who is back, I guess some people might consider it a spoiler, but The Official Site has announced Ep8 is underway officially -

Fun little Episode VIII Production Announcement video they tossed in there.  :)

we've been hot garbage lately
2-4-2 in our last 8 is not going to get it done in the Central.   :-[
1-9-2 in past 12 games
don't know how many more terrible hockey games I can watch though.  :-\

I guess two more was the answer for Chuck Fletcher.  Mike Yeo, out on his ass.

I really don't know what to make of all this.  When players committed to playing his system, we were puck possession monsters.  When players were afraid to go into the corners to win puck battles and had ****** shooting %, we were terrible.  I placed about 10-20% of the blame on him (not being able to figure out a good PP combo, basically).  The rest is on the players and Fletcher (for the guys he signed).

Maybe Yeo will have luck at his next stop, but Vanek, Granlund, and Pominville killed him here. :(

But Atsy?  I didn't think the character distinguished himself that much to merit a Black Series figure.

Maybe it's not so much that he merited a figure, but more that they can use the 6" sculpt to make a 3.75" pretty easy?   :P

But yeah, I'm still holding out hope that TFA Han Solo fills out this wave.

More TFA figures are coming this year. They weren't announced today but will be out this year.

Yeah, because why would they want to announce something like that to fans feverishly waiting for that exact type of announcement at Toy Fair. :-\

Any word yet how much they will charge?  Price and availability will probably determine just how into this line I get...

Bif Bang Pow! Launches Peg Pals™ - A Brand-New Collectible Line of Wooden Figures.

Once again, a nostalgia themed line aimed at kids of the 60s/70s.   We had a ton of the old fisher price little people wooden figure sets when I was a youngster - Sesame Street, farm, castle, mall, airport, etc.  These could be really cool if they take off.

Press release says they are starting with KISS, but have plans for DC and Marvel, and more.  I probably won't be able to resist a Batman figure when they get around to one, especially if that $5 price holds up.
