The Black Series 3.75" Figures / Re: The Black Series 3.75" - Wave 8
« on: December 26, 2014, 11:10 PM »
Yes.  Wave 8 would be the stuff from NYCC - Carbonite Han, jawas, Boushh, Mosep, etc.

There's a chance waves 7/8 may be scrambled though... No one has seen a solid case pack info yet (unless I missed that).

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Recent Clone Wars Finds/Purchases
« on: December 25, 2014, 12:45 AM »
The December 25th Daily Deal at Entertainment Earth is up to 71% off a selection of The Clone Wars action figures and battle packs from Hasbro.

15 different basic figures, four battle packs.  Old stuff, but some good army builders in there (BD, SBD, Droideka).

Link goes live at Midnight Pacific on 12/25 so I haven't seen the final prices yet, but thought I'd post now since I'll be busy tomorrow with family stuff.

An updated list of ReAction lines planned for next year...  3.75" ET is a total buy for me.

Star Trek Classic(in 2 waves)
Star Trek New Gen
Terminator 2
Boondock Saints
Breaking Bad
Dark Crystal
Fifth Element
Aliens (featuring a Queen)
Rocky Horror Picture Show
V for Vendetta
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Big Lebowski
Fight Club
Big Trouble in Little China

I can't imagine there being no 3.75" line for Ep7.

No 3.75" line planned for Avengers?  So what.  Maybe they finally realize the market for 3.75" Thor, Cap, and Iron Man figures is satisfied.  You can only carry a line for so long with countless variations of main characters.  Maybe there is no "Avengers 2" specific 3.75" Line because they are just going to do one unified Marvel 3.75" line with a wave for each movie - Cap3, Thor3, Avengers 2, 3,4, Spidey, etc?

Star Wars is a completely different animal.  All new movies, all new characters.  I believe there will be a 3.75" line.  What it looks like?  That's a different question.

I'm going to guess:
$7 - 3.75" 5POA line
$15 - 3.75" premium collector line (like VOTC was back in 2004).  Maybe clamshells, maybe on vintage-style cards, maybe even exclusive.

I think we'll get what we want... but I think we're going to pay for it as well.

Other Toy Lines / Re: Tamashii Nations Robot Spirits / Robot Damashii
« on: December 19, 2014, 10:16 AM »
Both figures and kits... but this thread is mainly about the Robot Spirits (Damashii) figures from Tamashii.

At Tamashii, Robot Spirits are for Robot/Mecha figures and would be comparable to the S.H.Figuarts figures they do for human characters.  Action figures with tons of detail and articulation, extra parts for different looks, etc.  These are NOT model kits.

So, if you think about it like the Star Wars stuff - the Robot Spirits are like the S.H.Figuarts Vader from Tamashii (Bandai's collector arm) and the model kit Gundam figures (Real Grade/Perfect Grade/High Grade) are like the 1/12 Vader Model kit from Bandai's regular toy group.

I do own/have some of the model kit Gundams thought I haven't picked up one of those in a long while.  Used to buy them when I had more spare time... these days, with full-time job and four kids, I kinda prefer the premium action figure route. ;)

Jesse - seen this one yet?

Acid Rain Red Face with Heavily Rusted Raptor Marine Version

If I wasn't wasting all my extra collector money on Japanese Mobile Suits, I would be all in on this awesome line.  The vehicle designs, the character designs, the decos - you can just feel the love these guys put into their work.

3. Build-A-Droid C-3PO (with wookiee tote bag)
4. Lando Calrissian (SA)
5. Vintage Bespin Guard (Mustache)
6. Vintage Hoth Rebel Commander
7. Hoth Rebel Technician
8. Treva Horme
9. Captain Piett
10. Lieutenant Sheckil
