Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: DVD 3-packs. Ugh.
« on: March 22, 2005, 09:57 AM »
According to Hasbro, today is the day to hit Wal-Mart to grab these if you want them...

They should be shelved along with the DVD today (or last night if you have a 24HR Wal-Mart  :P).

American IV: The Man Comes Around by Johnny Cash

"Whoever is unjust, let him be unjust still.
Whoever is righteous, let him be righteous still.
Whoever is filthy, let him be filthy still.
Listen to the words long down,
When the man comes around. "

www.starwars.com

Wow!  I love the new main page skins!  Vader and the Imperial March - ooooh.   :)  Gen Grievous and the Droid Army music is groovy too!

Lotsa new pictures in there hidden amongst the character bios and story and planets descriptions.

Definately worth checking out, especially the new backgrounds taken from the upcoming Movie theater posters and such...

Revenge of the Sith / Re: RotS - Deluxe Figures
« on: March 21, 2005, 09:33 AM »
Well, Hasbro's got some nicer pictures of the Deluxe wave 2 up now...

http://www.hasbro.com/starwars/pl/page.news/id.1165/dn/default.cfm

The pictures at Hasbro are a little clearer, and Vader's shows all the stuff he comes with (Helm, legs, etc).  I also like that the Vulture droid comes with a buzz droid, nice little add on.

Wow - thanks for clarifying, for some reason I thought the Yoda w/Cancell was a deluxe figure! The CargoBay site over at Starwars.com has this listed as a Deluxe Figure too - I guess that's where I got that idea from - but we all know that sometimes they have bad info...

Well, looks like you (and the Cargo Bay) were right.  Yoda with Can-cell is indeed a Deluxe figure according to the Hasbro site...

Looks like those early reports from Asia of him being in the case with the AT-RT were butt-ass wrong.

Kubricks / Series 4

I see that Logary is still commanding $$$. A very tuff Kuby to get for those that are still looking for him.  :-\

1/96 secret Logray!

I was watching that one until it got into the $90 plus range...

Just going to bide m,y time and hope I snag one cheap someday.   ;)

Nataku, are the cases stackable?
I need to make room, and that would be awesome way of doing it.
Thanks!

Yep, definately stackable.

The top part of the case is slightly tapered at the top so that the base of the next case will fit snugly on top.

JD Sports Forum! / Re: March Madness - 2005

Yeah, I'm officially screwed too.

I had Wake Forest in the Final Four and Kansas in the Elite Eight.  :(

In fact, after going 24-8 in the first two days, I was royally screwed yesterday - I only picked 4 winners (Illinois, Arizona, Washington, Kentucky) and ended up with 6 losers (BC, Gonzaga, Wake, OK and Kansas & Syra who didn't even win the first round).

Ah well, it's always fun to try.  Maybe next year...

Looking forward to seeing the Speeder Bike set in one of those too.  Might talk me into picking those up myself.

Well, I got a chance to put the new display case on the SW shelf...

I like the way I can show off my Speeder Bike and Max Rebo sets (LOOSE  :-X) and still keep them nice and dust-free.  I think this little case will work out just fine...   :)

Ummm, I think you mean Series 4.  :P

Thank you, Mr. Nitpick.   ::)

Very cool display idea there Jeff. Looking forward to seeing the Speeder Bike set in one of those too. Might talk me into picking those up myself. How much was it?

It was called "Auto Show Case" and it was $5.99 plus tax at TRU.

Celebration III: Indianapolis / Re: Star Wars Celebration 3
« on: March 18, 2005, 08:25 PM »
I'm unsure what these Friends and Family Passes are. Please elaborate. :)

Damn kids and their short attention spans...  ::)

Quote
Official Star Wars Fan Club members who purchase 4-day badges for Celebration III during the pre-registration period online will receive 4 Friends & Family passes that they can use to share some member benefits with non-members.

Benefits include:
1) entrance to the Convention Center during the "fan club only" hour before the center opens to the rest of the public. Once inside the center members can enter anything that is open during the special hour with no additional identification
2) Entrance into the Fan Club Lounge
3) One access to other Fan Club benefits if any are announced.

That's what they are.  A way to get non-Fan Club Members into Fan Club "events".  Of course, so far the only "events" they've announced are the lounge and getting in early...
