Oh man, I read those so long ago. They're actually pretty fun, and well written as far as geeky sci-fi book standards go.

No rubs at all - it's solid, and it was bought from an overseas ebay for a touch over $100. I'm happy with it, for sure.

Bitchen, Rob - now get ready to suffer in the void.  ;)

Forgot I never posted pics of my Yakface - these aren't the absolute best pics, but they show the condition well. It's a great figure.

It's still weird to see him in my cabinet - that figure always seemed so unattainable for so many years.

Oh, hey, thanks, fellas. That was indeed my big 3-0. No big deal, though. I'm actually happy to be on this side of the 20's.

Rob: NYC - good idea. Maybe next time....

Congrats! It's definitely weird to get to the end.

I think there aren't many real variations on that one, but here's one that is super minor:

Smooth vs. Textured torso

Doesn't sound much like what you're talking about, though.

Not sure where to post this.  Move if needed.  I need to sell off a bunch of stuff and thought I would start with all the figs that werent in the movies, books, comics, games, etc. Help me out if you can.  I know the list will be huge.  Even if a figure was in a cut scene I still plan to collect those types of figs.

Thaks in advance 8)

Wait, all the figures that WEREN'T in the movies, books, comics, games, etc.? What is left? Wouldn't that be a list of zero figures?

It's one of those things when Lucas should have paid Liam Neeson whatever he wanted just for dressing up as Qui-Gon one more time and saying three or four lines - for the sake of making the PT all that much better.

Well, as we know, Lucas is far from above doing it many years later, so don't give up the fanboy hope just yet.

I'd say anyone with less than 50 posts ought not to be considered; whose vote is this supposed to be for, the real JD community or random people who will never return to the site again after that one post?

Hasbro also gave Leia a boob job with the new sculpt.......

That's what I was hinting at. Couldn't agree more about the POTJ line. Still my favorite, minus the silly fact files.

How would you ever know that it was an "authentic" bootleg, anyway?

From the bootleg pros of course.  ;)

Well, I guess my point is, if you wanted to reproduce or make a "bootleg" bootleg, how would anyone know the difference? We're not talking about high quality goods to begin with, here. Seems odd to me.

So, is this a one vote per person thing, or is it American Idol style? Because I was just (apparently) able to get in two separate votes (I did the Bib for you, Rob). I didn't put in an email either time. Anyone know?

POTJ is way more accurate. And not just in the face sculpt. If I saw just the heads, I would never assume the newer sculpt was supposed to be Carrie Fisher. POTJ pulls it of, I think, despite it being slightly more cartoonish. The new one is a good sculpt as far as a human likeness, but not very accurate as far as a Carrie Fisher likeness. But maybe that's just me....

How expensive are those, anyway? Isn't it sort of ironic that bootlegs would be more expensive? How would you ever know that it was an "authentic" bootleg, anyway? What really went on between Marilyn Monroe and the Kennedys, and who really pulled the trigger on JFK?

The dual posing is cool, but at the sacrifice of the sculpt? That's the worst likeness since the POTF2 Leia, IMO, which as we all know is really saying something.
