Rogue One / Re: San Diego Comic-Con 2016
« on: July 26, 2016, 11:23 PM »
Thanks Jesse for the update, really looking forward to the QnA!

And hats off to Darth Anton - great guy and I can only guess at the efforts he has to go through to provide coverage.

Even the recent four pack of droids at Disneyland is only $30. Six for $80 is pretty insane.

Let's see... Hasbro markup, which always happens... EE markup... but yeah, it's steep for 6 repaints.  Even with free shipping.

For anyone in these parts that may read this, past chapters are at the links below -- plus character profiles too:

The Enloe Trials Prologue: The Baron's Crusade
Chapter 1: Seeds of Insurrection
Chapter 2: Atrocity
Chapter 3: Revelations
Chapter 4: Shadow of Death
Chapter 5: Depths of Despair
Chapter 6:  Seekers of the Dark Relic

And the character profiles are as follows...

Rykrof Enloe - Homeworld - Naboo.  Former Republic Commander, who is now an enemy of the Empire.  He has a history of entanglements with the Badoo Corba terrorist organization, dating back prior to the Clone Wars.  He is a former close friend of  Imperial Baron Tylin Gere and has been forced to embark on a desperate mission to acquire an ancient Sith artifact for Tylin - which has recently ended in failure.  He now carries an unbearable burden... the only way to save his family is to betray his Jedi ally, Kala Mly Shundi.

Alyssa Enloe - Homeworld - Naboo.  The wife of Rykrof Enloe, Alyssa has lived a hard life being married to Rykrof, and has been the target of Rykrof's enemies over the years.  She is a survivor, but is now in the captivity of Imperial Baron Tylin Gere.

Caldin Enloe - Homeworld - Naboo.  The son of Rykrof and Alyssa Enloe.  His grandmother was a Jedi Master.  Former Jedi, Kala Mly Shundi, has sensed that the boy is Force-sensitive.  Caldin is now in the captivity of Imperial Baron Tylin Gere and has grown to resent his father.

Freelo Macklar - Homeworld - Dak.  Former freelance scientist who became friends with Rykrof Enloe during the Clone Wars.  Freelo has been known to be timid, but is extremely loyal to the Enloe family.

Kala Mly Shundi - Homeworld - Coruscant.  Kala was once the apprentice of Rykrof Enloe's mother, who was a Jedi Master.  Kala has flirted with the Dark Side of the Force and experienced terrible visions of the future.  He barely survived Order 66, getting ambushed by clone troopers on Braatos VII.  He now works with the Rebel Underground in the struggle against the Galactic Empire.

Traedon Cusiro - Homeworld - Corellia.  Former bounty hunter who once worked for the Badoo Corba terrorists.  He helped Rykrof escape from Separatists on Dathomir during the Clone Wars, but later attempted to kill Senator Padme Amidala.  After escaping from prison, he swore an oath to bring down the Empire and joined forces with Kala Mly Shundi.

T-3PO - Homeword - Cybot Galactica.  Protocol Droid that has served the Enloe family for years.  He survived an Imperial attack on the Enloe homestead and a terrible ordeal on Dathomir.

Baron Tylin Gere - Homeworld - Naboo.  Former close ally of Rykrof Enloe, the two served as Republic Peace Officers prior to the Clone Wars and later as officers in the Grand Army of the Republic.  Tylin thirsts for power and has become obsessed with acquiring an ancient Sith artifact, which was recently acquired by Darth Vader, who he secretly sees as a rival.  He has taken custody of Alyssa and Caldin Enloe, and ordered the death of Rykrof's father.

Emperor Palpatine - Homeword - Naboo.  Dark Lord of the Sith and the undisputed leader of the Galactic Empire.  Attempted to mold Rykrof Enloe as the ideal Imperial officer but failed.  He takes great interest in Baron Tylin Gere's personal quests for power and admires his ambition.

Darth Vader - Homeworld - Tatooine.  Dark Lord of the Sith and follows the instructions of his master, Emperor Palpatine.  During the Clone Wars, he was once friends with Rykrof Enloe.  He considers Rykrof a traitor to the Empire but also is fully aware that Rykrof once helped protect Padme Amidala.  However, his loyalties to Emperor Palpatine are secure.

A lone Imperial Star Destroyer disembarks from the small planet, Dathomir...

...as Darth Vader makes contact with the Emperor.

"Greetings, my master.  The artifact has been secured."

"You have done well, Lord Vader," Emperor Palpatine smiles via holo transmission.

"What of Baron Gere? He was working with the terrorists... and attempting to obtain the relic for his own gains."

"Men like Gere are useful.  For now, a governorship in the Ostara system should satisfy his ambitions."

"And Enloe's family...?"

"They are now the property of Baron Gere," the Emperor hisses.

"I want Kala Mly Shundi's rebel faction eliminated..." he pauses.
"...that will be the end of Rykrof Enloe and his pathetic band of allies."

"Enloe will soon reveal the location of their hidden base," Vader confirms.
"Then I will see to it that they are destroyed."

On the surface of Dathomir, Rykrof's friends take a moment to rest.

"This is madness," T-3PO whails.
"I never should have come to this horrible planet with you dreadful people!"

"We will be leaving soon enough..." Kala Mly Shundi assures the droid.

"...our transport has arrived."

The group watches as a rusty Badoo Corba ship slowly descends...

"Anyone need a lift?" Rykrof asks.

"It's a miracle," the droid exclaims.
"I've been rescued!"

Far on the other side of the galaxy, Tylin Gere has arrived on Naboo.

A pair of Imperial Stormtroopers stand guard outside the residence of Alyssa Enloe...

...who has been deceived regarding her husband's actions.

Tylin approaches the Enloe homestead...

...and eyes the woman of his inner most desires.

"Alyssa," Tylin frowns, "I'm sorry with the terrible news I shared earlier about Rykrof."
"I trust you have packed your things for our departure?"

"I can't just abandon my husband," she insists.

"But, Rykrof actions on Dathomir have put you and your son in danger," Tylin objects.
"It's not safe for you here...or for your son. There's no future with Rykrof any longer."

"I... have been granted ultimate authority of the Ostara System," Tylin continues as Alyssa sharply looks away.
"You must come with me, so I can protect you."

"Don't make me do this the hard way."

"We'll go with you," she concedes.
"But, first I need to explain this to Caldin."

"Inform my shuttle to prepare for departure at 1800 hours," Tylin informs his men.

"Mom?" Caldin shouts as he jumps off the couch.
"What's Baron Gere doing out there?"

"Sweetheart, we need to talk," she replies.

"About what?" the boy asks.
"Listen to me," his mother says, "We need to gather our belongings. We'll be leaving here for a while with Tylin."

"I'm so sorry, but your father can't come with us right now."

"Somehow, I already knew... he's never with us..."

"I hate him."

Meanwhile, the remote world known as Banyss receives visitors...

As Rykrof and his band of allies have arrived to meet with Kala Mly Shundi's rebel faction.

"What a piece of junk," one of the troopers observes.

The ship slowly descends...

...as a small welcoming committee prepares to greet their guests.

"It's good to see you all," Kala announces as the shuttle's hatch opens.

"Welcome back, Master Shundi," Ambassador Sulo smiles.

"We are sorry to hear of your experience on Dathomir."

"Oh, it's so good to be off that disgusting planet," T-3PO declares.

"Traedon said there is a mechanic here who will be able to mend you back together," Freelo smiles.

"So, this is Banyss?" Rykrof asks as he observes the outpost.

"Yes, and we are quite safe from the Empire here," Ambassador Sulo smiles.
"Come with me; there is someone who would like to see you."

While Rykrof and the others follow the ambassador, Freelo and T-3PO are escorted to meet with the rebel faction's chief mechanic.

"How long has this base been running?" Freelo asks.

"Since right after the end of the war," the trooper says.

"There's your guy," he points out.
"Talk to him about your droid."

"This doesn't look very impressive," Freelo observes.

"Well, it has to be an improvement over my current situation," T-3PO retorts.

"Ah, dumping off some scrap?" an overweight Gotal asks in a raspy voice.

"Scrap?  What do you mean?" T-3PO demands.

"Wait..." the droid pauses.

"You're not a repairman!"

"I beg to differ," the Gotal growls.
"This here protocol unit was dropped off last week looking almost as bad as you do!"

"What have you done to him?" T-3PO cries.
"He looks hideous!"

"How much is this going to cost?" Freelo inquires.

"Freelo Macklar!" T-3PO shouts.
"You should be ashamed of yourself!"

"My master will gladly pay your fees, provided I am properly repaired."

"I make do with what parts I have lying around," the Gotal grunts.

"No exceptions!"

"It looks like things are settled then," Freelo smiles.
"I'll be back to check on him in a couple days."

Nearby, Ambassador Sulo leads the group to the faction's leader.
"...as Kala shared with you earlier, there are other Jedi survivors here.  We also have two surface stations like this one, and our power source is subterranean."

"And we are constantly enhancing our defenses."

"Ah," he stops.
"There he is."

"Rykrof Enloe!" former Republic Senator, Tame Heem, shouts.
"What a relief it is to see you alive!"

"Tame Heem..." Rykrof says in disbelief.
"The traitor."

"You've got some explaining to do," Rykrof says sharply to his Jedi friend.

Sensing Rykrof's anger, former Jedi, Clorri Lislo, clutches her blaster...

"I realize past events may give you pause to trust me," the Ithorian calmly responds.
"But lest us not forget; you, yourself, faithfully served Palpatine for years."

Ignoring the Ithorian, Rykrof stares into the eyes of his Jedi friend.
"Why didn't you tell me you were working for him?"

"No matter the past, we are all bound by our common enemy," Kala replies.

"Hey now," Traedon smirks, "If you can work with me, you can work with anybody."

"Yeah? Well the leader of your group betrayed me at the end of the war and almost got me killed," Rykrof argues.

"I understand you are deeply concerned for your family," Tame says, changing the subject.
"We have an agent already tracking their location," he offers.

"Protecting them is my responsibility," Rykrof says as he distances himself from the group.

"And you people can't take the down the Empire."

The following morning, a native Dak'idyl passes the perimeter of the rebel base.

Moments later, it becomes startled and scampers into the distance...

...as Rykrof enters the outskirts of the wilderness.

Hoping to clear his head, he can't help but reflect on recent events...

...the destruction of his home...

...the death of his father...

...the abduction of his family...

...a horrific experience on Dathomir...

...a deal with Darth Vader...

...and an ultimate decision he must now make.

"This choice is yours, and yours alone," Kala Mly Shundi says.

Rykrof remains silent as his Jedi friend approaches him...

...he then turns his back to Kala.

"I'm a failure as a father," he confesses.

"Self-doubt is becoming your greatest weakness," Kala tells him.

"Vader has forced my hand," Rykrof replies.
"But you already knew this... how?"

"As you seek answers to your dilemma, you have become open to the Force like never before," Kala explains.
"This has allowed for your thoughts to betray you."

"And now you think I'm going to betray you and everyone here," Rykrof laments.

"Vader never expected for you to activate the device," Kala informs him.
"That device has a self-activation mechanism triggered by planetary gravitational pulls."

"Oh no..."

"Vader and his forces are likely already on their way," Kala says.

"...we don't have much time."

Rogue One / Re: Rogue One Toy Rumors

Regarding Twelfth Parsec, I'm not privy to whatever was being discussed, so if anyone cares to PM me, I'd be interested as I used to promote their work.  I also own several of their items (pretty nice quality, but I still do not prefer 3D printing quality to old school processes... at least not based on the products I've purchased).

Rogue One / Re: Rogue One Toy Rumors
« on: June 24, 2016, 04:35 PM »
I wanted the ROTS set as well for a Palpatine throne room.  Years ago, I even contacted whatever company in the UK that was distributing it - they had a preorder for it for a long time before finally taking it off their website.  I thought the ROTS and Jabba sets looked the coolest.  This was a nice concept, but I didn't like the first set because it was too vintage-esque for me.

Like I said in my earlier post in this thread, I've given up on Hasbro on this front in any capacity whatsoever.  I hope somehow Disney farms out something to a company that could figure it out someday, but I see this whole concept as a missed opportunity and "what could have been" - and expect it to always be that way now.  The only way it will ever really succeed is if someone puts the resources in to do it right rather than the handful of half-ass attempts Hasbro has grudgingly done in the past.

Anyone buy any of the McFarlane Walking Dead lego-esque sets that actually look realistic?  I've bought a few.  Would think that would be an awesome concept for 3.75" scale stuff.  Also the Galactic Merchants stuff is fun.  But they couldn't keep up with the demand/etc.

I've been buying cool stuff from HoleinthegroundPro for a while now.  It requires some painting on your own skills, but it's fantastic stuff.

Next set from them I plan on picking up is this:

Rogue One / Re: Rogue One Toy Rumors
« on: June 16, 2016, 12:43 PM »
That said, I think Hasbro looks at that really for what it is...  It's like a stand on steroids for older people.  A cool way to display toys rather than play with them.  And while I personally want that too, do kids?  I honestly feel I would've at a younger age, actually.  I loved the Terror Drome playset, and it was the action in the little hallways underneath that you could open and play in that I enjoyed the most as a kid.  But I was a weird kid (and adult), so do kids today want that or do they want a playset with all the bells/whistles that make up something like we're accustomed to seeing from Hasbro?  I think they'd lean that way with one, not in the stackable display route.  I mean, the TFA Falcon kind of sums it up.  But hey, any year anything is possible at this point too.  Hasbro has every year to try something else out, if they want.

Honestly, I think they do like that stuff.  I know my son and his friends do.  When they play with their toys, it's all about having "a base" for the good guys, and "a base" for the bad guys.

Star Wars, army men, Imaginext, whatever they play with - that's what they want to focus on... setting the guys up in their respective bases, and then having a battle with the figures.

Just look at TRU - in the cheap 3.75" lines, they have numerous playsets.  Military headquarters, adventure jungle playsets, mountain playsets, dinosaur playsets, etc.   Hasbro is just stuck in a mentality that they don't want to do it.  If they want to, and invest in it right, it can and probably would be very successful.  It's just not in their mindset.  I've pretty much given up any faith in Hasbro on this front though now - and on many fronts.  I pretty much think they suck these days on most levels.  I think the only hope is that Disney farms these things out to another company.

BTW, the Terror Drome is a perfect example (a Death Stay playset in that spirit would be awesome).  My kid wants a Terror Drome so damn bad.  I guess it's getting to be about time that I finally look to restore my vintage one for him.

Star Wars Anthology / Re: Rogue One (SPOILERS)
« on: June 15, 2016, 03:28 PM »
I always wondered why Luke didn't just run up behind each walker and cut their legs out from under them with his lightsaber when I was a kid.

On any note, I think the fun in most of this is, and always has been, using one's own imagination to rationalize why "this or that" was done.  A lot of it really just comes down to "it looks cool and the audience will love it."

Kinda like Stormtroopers riding Dewbacks while searching for droids... kinda silly, but they sure does look awesome.

The Force Awakens / Re: TFA Poe's X-Wing Fighter with Poe Dameron
« on: September 1, 2015, 11:32 PM »
Like the TIE fighter, I'm in for this one.  Not too much else has grabbed my attention though.

9
I agree, nice to see the pilot a little closer to the quality that Hasbro is capable of.

This is one of my few "gotta get" items this weekend.

10
I received the Han and Mosep from Viperskingdom on ebay a couple weeks ago.

Really like both figures, but I did need to head swap the Han with the 2006 SAGA2 Carkoon Han.  Pretty much a perfect match in my book.  And I needed to boil Mosep's head for a bit to get it to slide down properly on the neck post.

11
Love my R2-D60 thanks to Phruby.   :)

12
I'm pretty sure this means we're looking at a 5POA main lineup.

Hopefully what Hasbro hinted a while back about 3.75" black series continuing holds true; I'm not feeling too good about all of that though right now.

Thanks for sharing this list, Nicklab.

Star Wars Rebels / Re: Star Wars Rebels Toy Rumors!

Bought that set for my son for Christmas.  He really likes Rebels quite a bit and this seemed like a good buy.

Another dark, cool night on Dathomir's Aisle of Mist...

...which has become infested with the undead!

Near the eastern coast of the island, Kala Mly Shundi swiftly maneuvers through the Dathomir foliage.

He knows the only chance for Rykrof to have time to recover the Sith artifact is to lead Darth Vader as far away from his friend as possible...

...and soon, he may be forced to sacrifice himself in order to save his friends.

Less than a kilometer away, Vader cuts down a bloodthirsty inhabitant of the forest...

...but is careful to avoid them in groups, when possible.

He senses the Jedi's position and continues to push forward...

...and is unexpectedly met by one of his seeker droids.

The droid hovers before Vader...

...and informs him that the Emperor wishes to make contact.

"Open the communication channel."

A beam of light then emits from the droid's projector unit...

...and Darth Vader respectfully takes one knee.

"You disappoint me, Lord Vader," his master sneers.
"Your orders were to observe the situation... not to get involved."

"Enloe's Jedi companion is a threat," Vader attempts to explain.
"And the artifact's contents have been released... if Tylin Gere acquires it, his forces will be overrun."

"Then see to it that the artifact is secured," Palpatine hisses.
"But don't let this Jedi draw you away from the objective..."

"...and open your eyes to the opportunity that has presented itself," Palpatine pauses.
"This Jedi has been protecting others in hiding..."

"Kala Mly Shundi will lead me to other Jedi?" Vader asks.

"I have foreseen it," the Emperor smiles.
"But Enloe's role is vital... leverage the situation with his family to our advantage... report to me once you have completed this task."

Once the transmission ends, Vader stands to his full height...

...and Kala senses that his enemy's focus has shifted.

Meanwhile, Traedon Cusiro has tracked down Rykrof's protocol droid, T-3PO.

"I'm saved!" T-3PO springs to life.
"Badoo Corba agents... here on Dathomir... and horrifying beings..."

"Yeah, I know," Traedon grimaces.
"The group's split up all over the place... I found Doskin's body...or what was left of it..."

"Oh dear," the droid laments.
"I hope nothing's happened to Master Enloe!"

"He was headed toward the complex," Traedon says.
"Follow me... and keep your voice down."

"I should have stayed on Urelia," the droid mutters.

Nearby, Rykrof has entered the heart of the Imperial research facility...

"The lab's down this hall," he nods.

"There's a functioning droid in there," Freelo adds.

"Don't forget we've got Stormtroopers following us still," Caller reminds the pair.

"Just keep a lookout," Rykrof insists.
"I'll be quick."

"Who are you?" an Imperial research droid inquires.
"Badoo Corba agents?"

"No... we're not Badoo Corba agents; we were sent here to recover the artifact..." Rykrof explains.
"...by Baron Tylin Gere."

"I see," the droid responds.
"Then you are free to take it to him."

"But as I'm sure you're aware, the results of the procedure have been... mixed."

"What was the intended purpose of the procedure?" Freelo asks.

"The resurrection of Amalaech," the droid responds.

"Is that what this is all about? Bringing back a religious Badoo Corba prophet?"

"That was the intent," the droid explains.
"When the procedure failed, they blamed the Sunnellion scientists that were contracted to administer the contents of the relic."

"They tortured... and forced injections into the scientists... resulting in the outbreak..."

At that moment, the hand of the lead scientist reaches for Freelo...

In a flash, a laser blast from Rykrof's weapon sizzles through her skull!

"This is intolerable," Freelo exhales.

"Here they come!" Caller suddenly yells.

"Take cover!"

A laser blast then zips past Caller, right into the droid!

"Caller, get down!" Rykrof shouts!

Several shots blaze past the trooper...

...but it's too late for Caller...

...as he is gunned down by the Imperials.

"Dammit!" Rykrof yells.

Right then, Freelo slips, narrowly avoiding a laser blast...

...and is rendered unconscious!

"Hold your fire," the lead trooper shouts.

Rykrof then watches in disbelief...

...as Darth Vader enters the lab!

Unable to raise his weapon, Rykrof's heart races as the Dark Lord approaches him.

"Good; the relic is undamaged," Vader observes.

"As for you," he turns.
"...your next actions will determine your fate."

"...and of those you hold dear."

"What do you mean by that?" Rykrof asks.

At that moment, Vader drops a tracking device at Rykrof's feet.

"Leave this complex, and see to it that your Jedi ally takes you to his hidden base," he hisses.
"Once you have arrived, activate the beacon."

"You can't..." Rykrof starts to protest...

"There will be no negotiations," Vader insists.
"Do exactly as I say, or your wife and son will be destroyed."

"There is a functioning Badoo Corba shuttle in the north landing bay for your escape," Vader explains as he turns away.

Rykrof then picks up the tracking device...

...and conceals it.

"Secure the artifact," Vader orders his men.
"And allow Enloe and his friends to escape."

Outside, Traedon and T-3PO have reached the perimeter of the complex.

"This looks bad," Traedon observes.

"They've got this place locked down pretty tight."

"I'm going to need for you to distract those Stormtroopers."

"Distract them?" T-3PO objects.
"Sir, given my current condition..."

"Quiet," Kala Mly Shundi whispers as he approaches the pair.

"Wasn't sure I'd see you again," Traedon admits to the Jedi.

"Something has happened inside the facility," Kala says, changing the subject.
"I sense a disturbance in the Force."

"Like what?" Traedon asks.

"I'm not sure. But this mission... has failed."

"I wholeheartedly agree with you," T-3PO announces.

Back inside the complex, Rykrof helps Freelo to his feet.
"I'm okay... but what happened?" the Mon Calamari asks.

"Caller's dead... I'll explain the rest after we get out of here," Rykrof tells his friend.

"Stay close to me."

"But... where's the relic?"

"The Imperials took it," Rykrof replies.

"Just be ready for whatever may be on the other side of this door."

Once outside, Rykrof and Freelo find themselves at the north landing bay.

"Look on the far end," Rykrof grins.
"That shuttle looks operational!"

"I'll clear a path," he says.

"If something happens to me, get to any ship you can and get out of here."

Rykrof then eyes a metal rod that could be useful for defending himself at close range.

"There's so many of them," Freelo observes.

"...they're coming from all sides..."

"...maybe it's safer back inside?"

"If you want to get out of here, that shuttle's your best option," Rykrof argues.

The undead then begin to focus on Rykrof...

...who fires a quick shot through the skull of the closest one.

He then recognizes the walking corpse of Mubaas Fuuda!

"Death's too good for you; you son of a bitch," Rykrof growls.

He then blasts a hole through the former leader of the Badoo Corba!

"Behind you!"

Rykrof then quickly spins, blasting the would-be attacker!

"That was too close," Rykrof says.

He then smashes through the helmet of the last undead blocking their path!

"That ought to do it," Rykrof coughs.

But more of the artifact's victims continue to take notice to the commotion...

"Quit dragging your feet, Freelo!" Rykrof yells.
"I did all the work here!"

"I was covering your blind side," Freelo retorts.

Rykrof then opens the hatch...

...as more of the undead move in.

Within moments, the two survivors are safe!

In the adjacent courtyard, several Stormtroopers stand guard...

...as the Imperials prepare to disembark from the infested island.

"Well?  Did Enloe escape?" Darth Vader asks Commander Resibar.

"Enloe and his companion just made it to the shuttle," the trooper reports.

"Good," Vader replies as he turns away.
"I will inform the Emperor of our success..."

"...there is no need to stay on this planet any longer than necessary."

Dathomir... a twisted world...

...one which Rykrof Enloe swore he would never again set foot upon.

Yet, in order to save his family from Imperial Baron Tylin Gere, Rykrof has been forced to acquire an ancient Sith artifact... which is believed to be housed in an abandoned Imperial research facility...

...where the horrific power of the artifact has been unleashed!

As Rykrof's strike team enters the base, the foul stench of decaying flesh overwhelms his men.

"And I thought the forest smelled bad," Freelo groans.

"You're sure it's safe to breathe in here?" Rykrof asks his new ally.

"Positive," Ganton confirms.
"The toxin never went airborne."

"But watch your step," he continues as the group follows his lead.
"There's things down here far worse than what you've seen outside this place."

"Things like what?" Freelo asks.

"Things like I never thought could exist... the Badoo Corba had provided prisoners that the scientists were using..." Ganton frowns.
"This artifact you're after holds a power that's... it's..."

"...it's just not natural."

"Ganton, have you ever heard of a Murakami orchid?" Freelo asks.

"No... I can't say that I have," Ganton confesses.

"It's been said that generations ago, a Sith Lord created a formula using one of these rare flowers that caused the dead to rise... driven by a hunger for the flesh of the living," he explains.

"What we're seeing here with the artifact... may be connected to this legend."

Meanwhile, the voices of the group have attracted an inhabitant of the facility...

"Come on, you guys," Caller shouts back to the group.
"I'm not seeing anything down here to worry about..."

"Grulaaarrrhhh!"

"NO!" Caller screams!
"Get it OFF me!"

Just then, Rykrof fires a laser blast through its skull!

"Like Ganton said; watch your step," Rykrof frowns.

"Holy mother of Alderaan," Caller exhales with relief.
"That was close..."

"How much further until we reach the lab?" Rykrof turns to Ganton.

"Still a ways to go," Ganton replies.
"There's a checkpoint station several corridors down.  Once we reach that, we'll be just a few chambers away from the lab."

"I really hope Kala gets here soon," Freelo softly whimpers.

Several kilometers south, Traedon Cusiro, Kala Mly Shundi and HK-88 continue their journey to the complex...

...and come across an abandoned Imperial hover tank.

"Well, what have we here?" Traedon smirks.

The former bounty hunter quickly leaps onto the vehicle...

"If we're lucky, there may be some supplies in this bucket of rust," he smiles.

To his surprise, the hatch pops open...

...and an undead occupant attempts to pounce on him!

"Son of a bitch!" Traedon yells as he stumbles backward...

"Nraaaalaaah!!!!!" his attacker bellows...

...before being cut apart by Kala Mly Shundi!

"It is unwise to stray from the group," Kala says.

"Thanks," Traedon laughs, though shaken.
"I had it under control though."

"This... infestation... must be stopped," Kala replies as Traedon finishes off the decrepit body laying before them.

"Forget the tank," Kala continues.
"We don't have time to salvage materials.  We must be on our way to the facility.  I sense Rykrof is already there."

"I also feel... a presence..."

In a flash, the team's assassin droid is destroyed!

"Your mission ends here, JEDI," Lord Vader hisses.

"Traedon, get to the complex..."

"Are you crazy?"

"...the mission is what matters," Kala replies as he turns to face Vader.
"GO!"

Although conflicted, Traedon heeds the order...

"May the Force be with you, old friend," he prays.

"A brave gesture," Vader says as he approaches Kala.
"But your sacrifice will mean nothing. You have already failed to save your friends."

"You're wrong, Vader. Or should I refer to the boy I once knew?"

"You live in the past," Vader responds as their lightsabers clash.

"...and in doing so, will soon suffer the same fate as your brethren."

"My death will gain you nothing," Kala snarls.
"With each day, the Empire's enemies grow..."

"...the day will come when the entire galaxy comes crashing down on you."

"I sense your fear," Vader laughs.
"It once gave you strength... it now makes you weak!"

Kala then turns, knowing his only chance to save Rykrof is to lead Vader far from the complex...

All the while, Vader's troops have entered the facility...

...and are moving closer to Rykrof's team.

"This must be it," Caller grins.
"The checkpoint station!"

"Last time I was here, this door was sealed," Ganton observes.

"Well, lucky for us; it's open," Freelo smiles.

"Don't you get it, Freelo?"
"This door was sealed for a reason."

At that moment, the Stormtroopers enter the chamber!

"Blast them!"

"Damn it," Rykrof curses as the room fills with laser fire!

"It's a trap!"

"They must have followed us!" Rykrof shouts as Caller takes down one of the armored troops.

"FREELO!  Look out!"

"Oh no!"

Showing no mercy, the Imperials continue their assault...

...as the undead Badoo Corba prisoner prepares to lunge on Freelo!

"Freelo, get down!" Rykrof yells...

...as he blows a hole through the attacker's face!

"Come on," Rykrof continues.

"...we have to get out of here!"

"They're heading to the lab!"

"Move in with caution," Commander Resibar orders his men.

"They won't get far."

Two corridors down, Caller removes his helmet.
"Damn... helping you isn't anything like I expected," he wheezes.

"I know the feeling," Freelo trembles.
"Not sure... how much more of this I can take... and Ganton... poor Ganton..."

"You're doing good, Freelo," Rykrof assures him.
"And I promise... I'll get you out of here once we have the artifact."

"Those Stormtroopers are coming," Caller warns.

"We need to keep moving," Rykrof agrees.
"We're almost to the lab."
