Saga '02-'04 / Re: Amazon has screen scenes 2
« on: August 24, 2003, 08:20 PM »
I ordered them on Friday (thanks for the heads up Lando), and with shipping it is going to se me back a total of about $65 for the both of them.  Kinda pricey... but with the way retail is these days, I'll go ahead and pay a little extra.  Who knows how hard these will be to find at retail!

Sure, right after the following figures are re-released first:

- Ishi Tib
- Ree-Yees
- Sio Bibble
- Naboo Guard (red deco)
- holo Sidious

I don't think this would be a bad idea for a repack at all, especially if they can wait until after EPIII comes out.  Before then though?  I'm not too sure, but if they'd make a better staff I'd definitely be game.

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Clone 3-pk ...does it suffice?

Try turning the left wrist of that Clone with the binoculars again DUSTRHO, it is articulated, and is great when you remove the binoculars, because he can hold his rifle with both hands.

I really like these sets, maybe those that are opposed to them will leave more on the pegs for us 3-pk fans, but from the looks of things, the majority of fans are very pleased with these because they sure do sell quick! ;)

Yep, this is going to be a must-have for my collection, I will get at least 2 of them.

Question though, should the missiles really be red?

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: No Worries for the Red Battle Droid
« on: August 15, 2003, 12:11 AM »
They should have packed one in with it, it would have been cool.

I do have worries about the Red Battle Droid, I think it should definitely be more than one to a case.  That just sucks...

Well, now I can add the green Clone to the mix after finding one today, and I must say that this one has a nearly perfect paint job.  Awesome work Hasbro.  I think these do suffice, and hope they continue to keep these in production for a while.  We all need as many of these as our budgets will allow. :)

I'd really like to see a pic of it so I know what it looks like, then I'll let Hasbro know whether or not they should make it. ;)

Anyone able to post a pic of it?

I have all of Wave I, and think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread.  I really can't wait for Wave II (and beyond!!!)

Saga '02-'04 / SAGA Army-Builder 3-pks?
« on: August 15, 2003, 12:02 AM »
The Clone War 3-pks seem to be very popular, I just found the Jedi 3-pk and Green Clone pk today. 8)

Anyway, do you all think that Hasbro will or should continue these Army-Builder pks beyond the Clone Wars line?  Personally, I'm all for it, and wouldn't be surprised if we see a few more along the way; after all, they seem to be selling extremely well.

Thoughts?

Hopefully it will be released in sufficient quantities (like at least 3-4 per case), be packed into the SAGA assortments after that, and find its way to a Fan Club 4-pk army-builder.

How many for me?  Depends on availabilty of course, but I am hoping for at least 15-20 of them.

I found another Clonetrooper set the other day, this one with the blue Clone... but the paint job was ridiculous.  It looked all smudged like someone applied the blue paint with a crayon.  Are they all like this, or was this just an isolated case?  Anyone know?

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Who ordered the Screen Scenes from NewForce?
« on: August 11, 2003, 02:32 PM »
I ordered from newforce too, but too often they aren't getting their stuff these days it seems...

I might start ordering from another site instead.  I like newforce a lot, and it sucks if Hasbro is screwing them, but if I know I can get my stuff somewhere else, I will probably do it. :-\

I did find these at Target too, and they are awesome.

Yep, Target prices are definitely the best on these.

It really doesn't affect me, but I feel very sorry for the people that only have a Walmart in their town due to Walmart passing on Clone Wars stuff.  Stupid Walmart!!!

Good luck figureaddict; just keep hitting those Target stores, that's where they are being found right now; especially since Target dedicated half of a shelf space for them!

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Check Hasbro NOW
« on: August 9, 2003, 01:37 AM »
Unbelievable, that's what this stuff is.  It's hilarious how Hasbro can do such a great job in non-movie years on their quality, and release a lot of pure junk in the movie years.

This is the kind of quality that myself, Landothescoundrel, Jedirhino, Dimetrodon, Darth Homer and others have been preaching for Hasbro to do for years.  About time!!!  Imagine if they would go all out like this all the time!

Let's enjoy this renewed quality by Hasbro while it lasts, because as we all know, when EPIII figures roll around, there is a good chance that Hasbro will go in the wrong direction(s) again.

And like Mister PL said, c'mon, make a modular Death Star now you bastards!!! ;)
