Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Anyone want a giant Spider Droid?
« on: May 27, 2003, 02:51 AM »
The little Dwarf one is pretty cool, but I think that a large one is possible.  An AT-TE is probably more likely, like you said dimetrodon, but it would be so cool if Hasbro did both.

Just one figure?  I can't narrow it down to that...

...can I pick one figure from each movie?

TPM - orange handmaiden

AOTC - Owen, Beru and Cliegg 3-pk

ANH - Myo the cantina cyclops

ESB - General Rieken

ROTJ - holographic Luke

Hot damn that is a great find JEDIMAC, and good luck in your house bidding!

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Favorite Geonosian???

Nice post JJ.

I would like an all new Geonosian too, and hopefully Hasbro would use some of your ideas.  The ones out now look great, but can barely ever stand.  It's so aggravating to walk into my Star Wars room and see 1/3 of my Geonosians lying down and a number of Battle Droids knocked over too...

Welcome Stan!  Have you posted at any other forums before, because I don't recognize your screen name.

Hope you like it here, and be sure to post at the "Newbies" section if you haven't already! :)

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Soft Goods?
« on: May 21, 2003, 07:55 PM »
This is an age old topic, but it's nice to see someone ressurect these oldies but goodies once in a while.

It really depends in my opinion.  If they can do a great job like they did on the CT Vader and MOTD Vader, I'm all for it.  But I think when done as a combo like on the Total Control Windu, it just contrasts too much and looks silly.   Another one I do like is the ponch with the POTJ Qui Gon.

I think that once in a while it is a good idea, when used as a cape (not a robe though) and a poncho.  Overall though, I do prefer plastic.

I already knew about it, but thank you for the heads up.  It's always nice to share the info! ;)

Right now I have to pass on any unnecessary spending as I have just changed careers and am going into a pure commission life insurance sales career.  I think I will do well at it, but at the same time I am aprehensive because I won't have a definite paycheck coming in...

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Luke and Darth: A New Hope...What are they?
« on: May 20, 2003, 11:41 PM »
I guess I'll have a little optimism here, and pray that this is what Hasbro has in store for us:

Vader - MOTD version, it's a great figure already and too hard to get

Luke - new Stormtrooper version - would anyone pass it up?

I truly hope the Luke is an all new Luke, and not a Tatooine version.  I would really like a new Stormtrooper version, but could live with one of him in X-Wing gear or Ceremony gear.  But not Tatooine gear.  Yuck.  And if they re-release the floppy hat version, I think it would be a dumb move since it was just offered again with the TRU Landspeeder.  Oh, how I hope it's an all new Stormtrooper Luke...

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Where is C-3PO
« on: May 19, 2003, 09:32 PM »
I really want a new classic 3PO too.  It really wouldn't matter to me if he was that shiny, they could just paint him like the accessory piece that came with SAGA Bespin Chewbacca.  That would be a-ok with me, especially if he had articulated knees.

One 3PO that has 7 points of articulation is the Flashback 3PO because of the bicep is a swivel and also is removable.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Cantina Wave 2 Sets a No Go
« on: May 19, 2003, 09:29 PM »
Hasbro makes me so mad.  They could have really done something special with these sets, and screwed it up by rehashing pegwarmers with the first wave.  There's no excuse for such blind stupidity!

Hopefully the fan club will indeed pick these up.  Oh how this Wookie hopes.

Great to see you here Dressel!  I think you'll like this forum a lot! ;)

Yep, now that it looks like they have changed the pack to all white, I think I will be getting a few more.  Won't the wife be happy!! ;D

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Star Tours wave 3 FINALLY!
« on: May 18, 2003, 12:53 PM »
I will definitely be opening one up, and would like to keep one carded if possible.  If they aren't MOMC though, I guess I could open them both.  I am sure I could live with that. ;)

I really appreciate it.  Want to send me a personal message with your address so I can send you some money?

I have heard somewhere that she is actually a Dark Jedi, not really a Sith.  Makes sense to me.

Star Wars Action Figures / CHEWIE's customs updated 06.22.2012
« on: May 18, 2003, 01:19 AM »
UPDATE - Please go to the latter pages of this thread... the first pages are almost 6 years old!  Therefore not only do the customs look terrible that are showing, most aren't even showing anyway as the hosting services I used back then is no longer active... you can also see more of my stuff under JUSTIN COOK at

For all you customizers out there, here's a recipe for a Qui Gon that I just created.

parts needed:

- Naboo Qui Gon
- Jedi Nikto arms
- headless Tusken cape
- Fleet Trooper hands

Boil-n-pop like normal, and after removing Nikot's hands, dremel a little in there to make room for the Fleet Trooper's hands to fit.

Cut a little off the Nikto arm pegs and put them onto Qui Gon's body.

Paint the arms and cloak as desired (don't put the cloak on yet though).

Apply a coating of acrylic seal.  Paint again after drying.  Do this several times if desired.

Cut a slit on each arm hole in the armpit area of the cloak to add flexibility.

Add the cloak to the figure.
